⌘Eye Color: Golden

⌘Occupation: Ghost-type Elite Four from Hoenn. He currently inhabits Ever Grande City, but frequents his home in Lavaridge Town.
⌘Personality:
● Likable
[lahy-kuh-buh l]. readily or easily liked.
Kishi is an entirely friendly guy who hates being by himself, when he's awake that is. People seem like him because he's generally outgoing and is rather enthusiastic when the conversation is interesting enough. He loves to hear about peoples' whole life stories and it's a reason for him to wake up in the morning. Even though he finds that he may never experience some of the things he learns that others have, his eyes light up with excitement and that's often enough to place him in the 'attractive' and 'appealing' category, on top of his other accomplishments.
● Assured
[uh-shoo rd]. boldly presumptuous.
He's not cocky or anything, but he also knows that he's special, and popular, and 'rather dashing' as some have put it. An awareness of it doesn't make him arrogant, he just sees it as a convenience. Besides, Kishi thinks he's entitled to a little something positive after everything that he's already been through.
● Generous
[jen-er-uh s]. liberal in giving or sharing.
This is a guy who is willing to give up his own life's energy and ability to stand up on his own for the health of other people. Kishi isn't the kind of person who hesitates when he sees someone else who could use a hand, even when it cuts into his nap time. This trait is something that his parents have instilled in him that stuck with him even through his personal growth, and he truly believes that he shouldn't still be alive if he's not having a positive impact on the people around him.
● Charming
[chahr-ming]. giving great pleasure or delight.
Politeness goes a long way, and so does flirting, plus it's fun.
● Lazy
[ley-zee]. averse or disinclined to work, activity, or exertion.
In case you haven't already figured this one out, Kishi is really lazy. there really isn't much that motivates him to get out of bed each day, and he would much rather be sleeping most of the time. as for his responsibilities and all, well, to him, getting enough sleep is a not just a desire, but a responsibility to himself. So if he feels like sleeping, then he'll sleep, there isn't much else to it. Basically, it's unclear whether he's potentially nocturnal or just naturally sleeps as much as a koala bear who's high on eucalyptus.
● Submissive
[suh b-mis-iv]. meekly obedient or passive.
When it comes to confrontation, Kishi just doesn't. He's generally pacifistic if a fight has nothing to do with battling his pokemon. Arguing with people over things that don't really matter that much is just way too much energy that Kishi doesn't have to spare. If someone were to confront him, he knows he wouldn't really have the backbone to stand his ground and would probably end up making extreme compromises...but to him it's better than prolonging the already aggravated situation.
● Impish
[im-pish]. inclined to do slightly naughty things for fun
I hope for your sake that you're not ticklish and if you are that Kishi doesn't find out.
● Intrusive
[in-troo-siv]. causing disruption or annoyance through being unwelcome or uninvited.
Kishi likes to be up in everyone else's business. He'll ask a lot of questions and try to poke all of your buttons just to figure out what they are. Some people might find this irritating, but Kishi certainly doesn't. He will make it his mission to be your friend even if you aren't initially accepting of him.

⌘Life Story:
From the moment he was born, Kishi has been treated as a sacred entity. At the early stages in his life, there was really no deserved reason for it except that he was a reasonably precocious child who was friendly and prayed often. He lived a normal, relatively basic life in Lavaridge Town, Hoenn, where his parents ran the Hot Springs and Bathhouse. What the young Kishi loved the most was having visitors. He learned all about their travels and the wonders of the world outside his little cozy but sheltered home. When he was finished with his chores and his prayers, Kishi found himself exploring the outskirts of the town, probably places where he shouldn't have been, especially alone and unprotected.
For the first ten years of his life, Kishi's exploring had been careful and harmless, and he would always be back in time to help his parents prepare supper. During this year, however, the fabric of his life would be permanently re-sown. There was a festival being held in the town to celebrate the return of the retired champion who had originally resided in Lavaridge. People gathered all across Hoenn and Kishi was excited to see all of the new faces, but that didn't stop him from sneaking away and exploring for some short time here and there. There was to be a parade, and having charted out every nook and cranny of the town already, Kishi wanted to watch from the best spot, which was a bit of a climb from the base of the volcano. Beyond the roar of the crowds, Kishi marveled at the music and colors of the event, until the crowds were drowned out by the sound of the ground moving. The young boy, small enough to be easily crushed, began running, but the ground was too unstable and he was taken with the landslide.
The excitement and joy of the day quickly vanished as the crowd ran for cover from the incoming gravel, until Kishi's father saw his son's body being taken with it. The dust settled, and his parents hovered over their son's body, pleading with the heavens to bring him to life again. He remained lifeless and breathless for several hours, and the town prepared to mourn the casualty of the tragic event.
It is unclear what it was exactly that brought Kishi back. It could have been some mysterious mystical power, his parents prayers, or something else inside of the young boy that he had there all along. His reawakening seemed sudden from those around, but Kishi can remember the struggle. He felt as though he was swimming in an eternity of dark matter, with limbs that were sluggish and heavy and eyes that could barely see beyond clouds of black dust. He couldn't think of anything, just that he had to keep going forward. Kishi doesn't really know how long this continued, or if it would ever come to an end, but it did, when he saw a bright red light, no, an eye, guiding him back to the surface.
Everything was different after that. His dark hair had turned powdery white and his brown eyes had transformed into a glistening gold. His story, the one of him returning from death, became famous, so when Kishi's new remarkable abilities exposed themselves, he became more well known and less normal than he ever imagined. Kishi had gained the ability to heal others, pokemon and humans alike, just with contact. The visitors to the Hot Springs doubled, as everyone hoped to have the opportunity to meet the gifted boy with the powerful gift. While he was delighted at first to have so many visitors, Kishi began to discover that the gift and the event that brought him back had brought other, less desirable, side-effects.
His gift was taking a toll on his own personal condition. Although he was once able to handle the lines of people awaiting his treatment, after only a few months, Kishi could barely gather enough energy to help just one person in a day. He was constantly lethargic, and every movement became a chore for him. In addition, due to the fact that he had once fully connected and briefly inhabited the spirit world, he found that his connection to something so un-earthly had left a mark on him. When Kishi was ever in a state of particular weakness, he would hear voices. They were soft and melodic, as though they wanted him to return to their world or to do something for them. When he was conscious, Kishi was able to resist the urge to give in to their sounds, but when he was sleeping, which was often, he found himself tormented.
Both Kishi and his parents knew that he could not continue like this. They focused on trying to bring Kishi back to the boy he once was, the one who desired adventure and loved to explore. After two years and countless attempts to bring his energy back, the family found this would be an endless struggle. Still, he gathered enough of his strength to start his pokemon journey, in the hopes that it would spark something inside of him that would keep him going. Naturally, Kishi found himself drawn to ghost pokemon, and similarly, ghost pokemon were drawn to him. Shuppet was Kishi's first pokemon, and while the pokemon didn't exactly provide any particular health benefit, the pokemon's impish energy provided an excitement and motivation.
The experiment proved to be a success. Of course, Kishi would never become that boy he once was, and he was constantly craving a long nap, but his connection to ghost-type pokemon allowed him to surpass any expectations he had for success. Kishi was able to earn all of the badges in the Kanto region, only delayed briefly in Lavender Town when he was drawn to the tower there. Still, confident, Kishi moved on to the Johto region without hesitation. Unfortunately, he was once again overcome with his physical weakness.
Kish had just earned his Fog badge in Ecruteak City, when he found himself unable to leave the town. The city itself seemed to hold a powerful energy that was greatly affecting him, and Kishi would wander to the Bell Tower. The voices in his head were stronger than ever and he would just stand there, in front of the Tower's entrance, staring, until he couldn't stand anymore. People who recognized the trainer tried to stop to help him, to try to lead him away, and he couldn't hear them, too focused on the tower. Even the ghost-type gym leader of the town came to try to persuade Kishi to refocus. On his second night in that spot, a red eye, the red eye, saved him by leading him away from the tower. The red eye belonged to a Dusknoir, who became his companion from that point forward. To this day, Kishi believes that Dusknoir, now named Congress, was the one who saved him from death in his childhood.
Unable to continue his journey in Johto, Kishi returned to Lavaridge Town to regain his energy and recuperate. Soon he went back to training, but this time staying local in his region, the Hoenn region. It didn't take Kishi long to earn all of his badges, and earn his spot in the Elite Four. This was perhaps the best thing for him, as he can continue to train without traveling, meet new trainers, and most importantly, be as lazy as possible.
Recently, Kishi has received an interesting letter from a mysterious professor in the Kalos region explaining that they may have a new, scientific way to help Kishi with physical troubles, and that it is imperative that he come on-site for some tests with his Pokemon, specifically his Dusknoir. With some knowledge of what's going on in Kalos, even Kishi will admit that this offer seems rather suspect, but he is optimistic and willing to take the chance.
