The island is generally divided into sections for bubble purposes. Most people who aren't cubi have their homes closer to the school area and the same goes for a few establishments. There is a time in June where what has become a small city turns into a village in a bubble, grocery store and all. Everything outside the bubble is usually just closed down. There are some who can control their urges or if their mixed, don't have them in the first place, that would leave the island in June. Like Naio and the family. Others who don't want to do anything but can't leave because they put off junk, same reason they can't be in the bubble, just buy enough food to last the month if they need it and stay home. A good extra insurance that no other cubi will be stalking around your house is to set out open bottles of vinegar (etc), the smell is strong and tends to mask any pheromones that may leak out of the house.
Pre-june Willie likely makes a load of money because toys are also very popular with those who stay in.
