What are CALs? CAL stands for crochet along. That means anyone who wants to complete a project that someone else is working on can follow along with them.

Why are CALs such a big deal? Since they are a shared project, it makes for a wonderful way to learn or teach others certain styles or techniques of crochet. You can ask questions and make comments and hopefully it will make a project come together a little easier.

1) If you are new to crochet (novice), I would suggest that you take on only one CAL at a time.

2) If you are a mentor or teacher, you may take on more than one project but only if you have time for them.

3) Also, mentors if you are planning on being absent from Gaia for a while, if possible, you should put a little notification somewhere in the CAL so no one is left in the dark.

4) I can not stress the importance of taking pictures of your finished pieces. Even if it's a picture demonstrating where a project has gone wrong, in order to help others along.

5) More rules may come up as needed and if so they will be added to this list.

6) Please observe Gaia's TOS rules.

Special Rules for Proper Etiquette:
1) No rushing your mentor for answers.
2) Do not be abrupt with each other. Show a little patience.
3) If two people don't seem to communicate each other's ideas well, it should be perfectly okay for someone else to chime in and try to smooth the CAL over as much as possible so everyone has a good time with it.
