The southwestern seas of the region are somewhat calmer than the rest of the region and host both fewer and milder water types than the others, with the exception of the odd Gyarados. Most trainers surf into this area via Blume Town and make their way from there to whatever destination they wish. Marvel City isn't too far away from this part of the ocean, and it would take trainers around six hours to surf there; depending on how fast they try to travel. Be warned though, Gyarados have been sighted on this route, and will attack any trainer they see within their territory. However, these are few and far between, so it is relatively safe.
