Our story focuses on four kingdoms in this world but centers on the Chrome Kingdom. The other three kingdoms are Ackertia, Depocah, and Eurosia. These four kingdoms have been at peace for 10 years. However, things are changing.

Chrome:

There was once a cruel Chrome king who ruled with an iron first, maintaining order and protection largely through fear. He also enjoyed declaring war and trying to take over other kingdoms. With the exception of one member of his staff, his generals and advisers were equally as cruel and together, they protected their kingdom well and crushed any internal resistance that rebelled against the ideal of the king and his men. So, basically, life sucked for anyone else that wasn't with the king and well off.

However, as often happens, when people have become suppressed for a long time, some eventually tire of it, being overly unhappy and wanting to act for a change. That one “good” general began to organize a resistance in secret, skillfully and perhaps luckily avoiding notice from the other higher ups. While some of the skirmishes were successful, others were severely crushed as well.

To make matters even more disruptive and confusing, one day, a mysterious masked and hooded mage appeared in the throne room and challenged the king to a chess match. No one knows exactly what happened, but the king changed after that day, becoming more warm hearted and looking after the people’s conditions more kindly yet still maintaining a somewhat cruel composure, especially in battle. Eventually, he started to send his generals and advisors to their deaths in battle without them realizing it. The war then ended due to him being disinterested at some point 10 years ago. As for the mage, no one ever heard or saw of that person again. People assumed the mage was dead.

It has been ten years…and the king is reverting back to his former self, the cruel heartless one, and he has begun to look for people to replace those he lost to battle…

…And in the years of peace, the other kingdoms have begun to rise up to engage this particular kingdom, seeing that the king has gotten soft . . . a chance for revenge and more dominion.

Time Period and Technology

Medieval times. Thinks weapons as swords, spears, bows, etc. No exploding guns. People use fire to light lamps.

Magic exists. It is harder for humans to learn magic although some other creatures such as orcs just may not be very good with magic either. HAKA, WHATCHU THINK? MAGIC FOR ALL?

There are more humans than any other race. Demons are not welcome in these kingdoms. The demons have their own kingdom locked away somewhere, but it is not in this rp. Any demons that are in the kingdoms here must disguise themselves, or they may be hunted down.

Kingdoms

Kingdom of Depocah – Citizens are known as Depocans - Desert kingdom
The typical run of the mill depressing kingdom. However, it does have a good amount of forestry oasis and deserts.. . and believe it or not, it is a good center of trade, for some strange reason. Depocah's capital city is in a desert. Depocah also has a secluded port city named Chronopolis, one of the rare cities welcome to all races unless you’re out to make trouble. Chronopolis is at the edge of the desert and actually has green lands.

Races in Depocah: Everything but demons welcome (except Chronopolis where all are welcome). The country is mostly humans. The country has a lot of mercenaries who work as demon slayers.

Stealth Way: – Road infamous for robberies in Depocah. On one end, it ends at Eurosia. The other end veers off into other roads in Depocah.

Country/Kingdom of Eurosia – Citizens are known as Eurosians. - Mountain Kingdom
Eurosia used to be a large province of Depocah, but it seceded and created its own country because Depocah’s king could not prevent it. This kingdom’s advisors are well known for plotting, in the underground, and trying to puppet control the Ackertian king. If there’s any kingdom that wants to take over the world, this kingdom would be it. Maybe it has something to do with farming being hard in the mountains?

Eurosia is a small mountainous kingdom, but parts of the kingdom also align with the ocean. Eurosia is always colder weatherwise than the other kingdoms.

Race: Demon? Human?

Kingdom of Ackertia – Citizen are known as Ackertians. - Green kingdom
Ackertia is known for its benevolent king. However, the king of this kingdom is absentminded, so absentminded that one time he never realized that his advisors had been “replaced” by Eurosian mages until someone else got rid of them for him. If there is one kingdom that is likely to overextend its troops in order to help people, Ackertia would be it.. .and it’s all because of the king. Ackertia's castle also fits the king's benevolent personality. It looks more like an open temple than a fortress. Yes, there is still security.

Ackertia is a lush green kingdom and is probably the most habitable and hospitable. Farming is plentiful. Ackertia is landlocked, but has plenty of rivers for water source.

Race: Elves, Humans, Fairies lolz

Kingdom of Chrome
The cruelest kingdom of them all… or used to be until that incident ten years ago. However, it may begin again…

Chrome has kept the other countries at bay, being quite successful in defending its borders. It is/was the kingdom with highest military might. Previously, everything that the king mandated was the law. However, in the past ten years, the people have also been given some sort of voice, but that is starting to go away again.

The kingdom’s weather temperate varies. It is moderate, but it does receive its share of cold and hot weather with the seasons.

Races:Umm, I dunno. Human plus something else?

Roles

Chrome
The Chrome King was originally a cruel evil king. However, ten years ago, he changed, becoming more caring. Now, he is reverting back to his old ways again, as changing as we speak.

Chrome's "Good" General survived due to the townspeople’s help. He/she is now the head general, being the only general/advisor still in the kingdom and alive. What will the good general do when the king starts to order him/her once again to slaughter and oppress the people and look for potential candidates for leadership?

Chrome's Former Evil Advisor survived, without anyone knowing, and is in hiding. He/she is plotting to overthrow the king or bring the king back to his original self. He/she feels betrayed, but thinks that the mage might have something to do with it… even though no one knows what happened to that mage. He/she also has it out for the “good” general. Maybe he/she will try to contact the good general to plot something. Or maybe he/she will confront the king. After all, if the king is reverting back to his former self... he would be happy to see the advisor, right?

The Chrome Rebels go by a name that the roleplayers can create. However, they are unofficially disbanded due to the Chrome king's change in disposition. They do keep in touch. The civilian leader keeps in contact with the good general, and the good general has made suggestions to the king, some of which were accepted... but that may change now. They may want a democracy soon.

Chrome's Civilian Rebel Leader was the good general's partner in leading the masses against the king. Will he/she be needed once again?

Depocah
Hermit elf girl: Ten years ago, the elf girl found a heavily wounded man in a forest oasis in Depocah. Due to her kindness, she has been taking care of the man for the past ten years. He seems to be in a coma, a sort of sleep, but he is alive as he is breathing.

Human princess: ROFL. She has FALLEN IN LOVE WITH SOME DEMON DUN DUN DUN. Yeah, Haka. Here's mah attempt at inserting some love. Depocah no like demons at all.

King - This guy is absent minded and well meaning.
Advisor - This could be loyal to the Ackertian king or an advisor serving another kingdom trying to take Ackertia over.

Wherever: Pick a Kingdom
The mage’s apprentice has been searching for his/her teacher, not believing that the mage is dead. He is a member of the Mage Guild, a guild that his teacher refused to join. Who is his teacher? The hooded masked man, but he doesn't know that. His teacher simply left a note for him one night and disappeared. It has been ten years... Meanwhile, he has refused to be taken under the wing of any other mage. .. even though he/she doesn't understand the full meaning of the note.

The Note: "Dear Apprentice, I must take leave of you as some urgent matter has come up. I do not know when and if I will return. However, study hard and do not forget your studies. You must not sway from the path, no matter what others say. You are a bright apprentice, and I have great confidence that you will be a great mage in the future."

I DUNNO IF I SHOULD KEEP THE NOTE CUZ THAT PLOT ISH TOO COMPLICATED FOR THIS DUMBED DOWN RP.

Citizens of the Countries/Contestants for Chrome's positions/Rebels/Mayors+Lords of Cities/Librarians/Farmers/etc... But of course, there are many different types of people in the world.
