Taryn || Thoughts and being flooded into the Wind, waking her from her weave and bringing her into existance. At first, she lay motionless. Then a small breeze ruffled into her new feathers and she fluttered her eyes to the bright light of day. She blinked at the new sensation until her eyes adjusted then lifted her head to fuel her curiosity. What was this place? How did she get there? Who was she? The answers came without a word. An internal whisper of knowledge flooded her being and she smiled softly. This was 'home'. She was woven into existance. And her name was Taryn. Testing her paws and wings, she carefully stood and flexed her muscles before chancing to further inspect her surroundings.

Shandor || Watching high above on a rockey outcropping that cast a long shadow over the newly-woven, a pair of dark eyes narrowed as a playful smile crept over the long maw. He'd observed the weaving of many under his care. Each was a little different than the next, each with their own colors, wing shapes, and even a variations in sizes and body shapes. This one was interesting...bright green but not as vibrent as some of the others he had witnessed. It was off set by a creamy tan color more common down below, and crowned by a long mane of lime-colored hair. Her eyes, while still clouded by the ignorance of a newly-woven, were a little more aware than some of the youngsters he had encountered.
She lifted he head, tested her wings, and impressively enough stood without any direction. A spirited one...
He flicked his tail and pressed his wings in a little closer to his slender back. She hadn't yet taken notice of him- but perhaps that was a good thing. Now and then newly-woven B'alam reacted with fear rather than curiosity.

Taryn || Her legs were a little wobbly, but she was more than certain that this was the norm. She'd never stood up before! Her wings fluffed a bit and she craned her head to look at them - then the rest of her - taking in her colors and form before making a semi-wibbly turn in place. "Whoa..." she half-whispered as her body swayed and then steadied. Her ears then perked at the sound of her voice and her head tilted a bit. There was a brief pause before she opened her lips again. "Whoa!" Recognizing her voice brought forth a giggle. Her attention then returned to her wings. She flexed and fluttered them a time or two before she spotted a figure in her peripheral. Green eyes focused on the creature high above her and looked it over. It seemed a lot like her in many ways. One thing in particular that she noticed was his wings. They were... folded against his side? The gears turned slightly as she focused on his wings, then her own. Almost comically, her wings slowly tucked themselves to her sides. Once secure, she looked at her wings, then his again. Victory! She beamed a grin of triumph - mostly to herself - before blinking again. Wait... Why was he just standing there and ... watching? An ear flicked back, now starting to show some caution to his presence.

Shandor || He chuckled as she found her voice- and apparently startled herself pleasently in doing so. It wasn't a bad sent of pipes...but one word was hardly an indication of whether or not she'd sound like a ringing bell or a screeching mad paroo. He would know soon enough.
The nah quickly learned how to fold her wings and press them against her side. Now looking smaller and a little less impressed, the nah eyed him with her ears rolling back. He only smiled in response.
"Morning." He called. "Two marks past sunrise- a little nippy. Our season has come and gone but there you are sure as the sun."

Taryn || His voice rang out into her ears and she smiled softly. His intimidating presence seemed to wane the more he spoke. 'Morning.' ... was it morning? She looked around again, taking in the sky. Her entire being seemed to understand this. Morning. The start of the day. Season... Season? She held a vague idea as to what that might be. Only time would solidify that. And the Sun...? Ah! The sun! Her nose tilted upwards as the words in her head seemed to take on new meanings and understanding. Her tail gave a small twitch as her gaze returned towards his figure. There was a hesitant pause before she attempted to actually talk again. The words easily falling into the correct pattern, though cautious in their making. "Morning." she returned with a bit of a nod. Then, with a little more confidence. "Who are you?" Perhaps a bit too forward for her first question, but her eyes were now more so flooded with curiosity than fear.

Shandor || Right to the point then. At least she was able to say "who" rather than "what" as some other newly-woven individuals had in the past. Perhaps the Weaver was introducing more of his own insight into his newer creations...it would make some sense. They'd be easily over-powered by those who had come before if they were woven into the wrong place at the wrong time.
Of course- timing was everything. Thus far, the big one knew exactly what he was doing.
Shandor smirked. "I'm many things. Many. Here, we have a name and a name within the name. We wear faces that aren't always our own and faces that aren't for anyone."
He chuckled. "For now, you may call me Riddlemouth. Look into it what you may- or don't."

Taryn || At first, it appeared as though she was following his every word! Yet, as the riddle continued to flow from his lips, an ear slowly shifted backwards while a single brow raised in some slight confusion. It wasn't until he chuckled that she shook her head slightly and further considered his words. A name and then a name within a name? What was that about? She attempted to set aside her curious internal prodding for the meaning and started to open her lips, about to say something that was caught short by a swift inhale of air. Wait. Was he trying to be clever too? Was the name he gave one of those names within a name? It would make sense, considering he started by saying that she could call him that 'for now'... Did he not want to give his name to her? But did that mean she shouldn't give him her true name? Or at least the name that proudly resonated in her very being. She shifted uneasily upon her paws for a moment before shaking her head. "I-I'm afraid I don't have a name in which to give you... yet..." she started, testing the currents a bit. Whether he saw through her tiny lie or not wouldn't bother her. She gave off a faint groan of uneasiness before focusing all ears and eyes on him again. "So... where are we?"

Shandor || "I'm afraid you wouldn't know what name to give me even if you did." He reasoned, raising a brow. She couldn't know their customs or traditions just yet- nor could she entirely be embraced as one of his own without learning a little more than that. There were some among his tribe who had diverted away from their core beliefs and traditions. It was unavoidable- but it still provided all the reasons needed for caution.
"In the sky is where we are- if you want the long and the short. If you need more specifics I'll need more specifics. More importantly- what matter is it? Do you have somewhere to be or not be?"

Taryn || Well, she guessed her caution was well made! She looked up at the clouds. They were in the sky? Wonderment flooded through her, making the very tips of her wings jitter with delight. 'Oh wow!' "Well, no." she started, responding to his inquiry. "At least. I don't think so?" She looked back up at the sky, then at him. It was a long climb to reach his chosen perch. And some of the footholds would probably break if she tried... She turned her gaze to her wings and then lifted one of them back into a full stretch. She flapped it slowly once or twice before her features seemed to brighten. "Hey! Can we fly?!" The excitement in her words could paint a vivid picture if allowed.

Shandor || "Can we fly?" Riddle-mouth actually laughed at the question. It was a deep sound, straight from his broad chest. It wasn't an unpleasent sound but it wasn't entirely friendly either. There were layers to every word, gesture, and even it seemed his laughter.
Rather than answer right out, he spread his massive alabaster wings and leapt from his perch. He glided, a seemingly effortless series of movements, to land lightly beside her. He flapped his wings, sending a few loose strands of grass into the air.
"My good sister- that is what we are woven to do- but one step at a time. Indeed- one step at a time. Learn to walk- then you can run. Learn to run, then you'll find your legs can leap. Leap- and you can fly." He winked. "We're rather high up. Caution first- then we'll have some fun."

Taryn || She cracked a nervous smile at first. He was laughing, so that was good... right? It sent a faint shiver of caution down her spine... however, all thoughts or worries immediately took flight as he did. Her eyes widened with wonder and awe and even her wings spread out a bit to mimic (although faintly) the motions he made with the great feathered appendages. So they -could- fly! Oh, her heart began to soar already! Her previously nervous expression fluidly shifted to a wide and amazed beam of a smile. His words were almost missed, but she managed to catch herself enough to at least acknowledge what he had said. She collected herself quickly and nodded. "Right. So. Walk." she started, looking down at her paws. "Walk. Run. Leap... Fly..." Fly came out in almost a delighted whisper. "Er, wait." she looked up at him with what appeared to be a serious expression. "H-How do I walk, exactly...?" Her tail gave a small flick and then she let loose a giggle. "Nevermind. I'll figure it out." she added with a wink of her own. Green eyes returned back to her paws. They were still a bit weak, though quickly getting used to having weight held up by them. There was that at least. But now came the issue of actually shifting weight onto three or two paws at a time and actually moving her body forward. It was here that she realized that her legs had been pretty much stiff and solid. Making her practically a statue from the neck down. "Okay!" she started and slowly lifted a paw. "Walking." She wobbled and nearly rocked backward. A soft and awkward kick from her hind leg propelled her forward and she nearly slammed her paw down to brace herself. She at least moved a few inches forward in the process!

Shandor || Shandor watched the delight, so natural to one of his kin, roll over her features. Laughter spilled from her maw, light and unbridled, and true joy filled her eyes. It was only natural for one of their kin to thirst for the open sky. It was as much a part of them as blood and breath. Sadly, flight wasn't something any one of them simply jumped into. There were muscles beyond their wings that would be taxed- and hers were fresh. The same set of muscles that built up in walking would soon contribute to flight- and then some. Her chest would need to grow stronger, her lungs more powerful, and of course- her gut. They would eat and eat to fuel their bodies and the demands upon it that flying had- but all that would come later.
Walking. This was always fun to watch a newly-woven stumble through. Sometimes he would sit back and watch the akward flip-flop of new paws and wobbly legs. Today...well she had a nice laugh and a pretty smile.
As she nearly stumbled forward he reached a paw out to catch hers. It was an almost seamless movement, dance like in its execution. That, too, she would need to learn. She had the long limbs for a dancer, perhaps Flik would take her on as a student.
"One step at a time. Learn how to stand on four- then three, then two." He lowered her paw back to the grass and took a few confident steps forward to demonstrate. "Soon it will be as thoughtless as breathing."

Taryn || She giggled as she nearly toppled over. and then sighed. "Well, it's a start, at least." She nodded in a silent thanks to the support and then watched rather enthusiastically as he demonstrated for her. He walked so smoothly. Such grace and beauty was carefully executed with each step. She internally hoped she could become equally as mesmerizing in her own movements. However, if she was to one day live up to that dream, she'd have to do as he says for now.
"Okay. So..." she wobbled slightly as she slowly began lifting a single paw. Her wobble intensified as she tried to balance, toes spreading out on each paw naturally to soak in the rapidly shifting weight and null it slightly. "Whoa..." She wibbled more and touched the paw down, but only for a brief instant to restore balance and try again. She did this a few times until her legs felt a little more sturdy beneath her. "Heh!" she nearly shouted, eyes lighting up with some small sense of pride at the minor accomplishment. With a big grin, she looked at Shandor and giggled. "Look! I-- WHOA!" She wobbled and stumbled. Her paws clumsily fumbling beneath her to stay standing before she finally flumped, her entire body collapsing as her legs gave way.
She coughed a bit as the wind flew out of her lungs on the impact. Her chest would later hold a bruise from that endeavor, but that was beside the point. She was standing on three legs! She managed well enough! Her face exploded for a second with panic and worry before she started to laugh again. "I did it! Did you see that?!"
