Harthwin KenmasutāMuramasa form: [Sword] [Machine-gun] [Sheathed] Manriki: [In use] [Not in use]Dust capsule: [Fire: 2] [Water: 2] [Wind: 1] [Lightning: 2] [Earth: 1] [Ice: 2] [Poison: 2] [Darkness: 2] [Light: 2] [None] Semblance: [Aura misdirection (weak)] [Arena of combat; Self (week), Area (strong)] [None] The ride to the hospital was quick, and while on the way Harthwin had recovered enough to stare outside the backdoor windows to make mental notes to where he was heading. Rushed from the stretcher to the room, work was done on Harthwin to patch up all burns and damages he had gotten along the way of helping others from the burning building.
Now that he was in a hospital room with no sight of the police nor medics Harthwin tries picking himself up but the cuffs were still on him and this time he was in a bed that was bolted to the floor. There was no slithering away from this situation. It was for the best though because now he could try seeing if Seryn was okay. With how badly injured she was injured he was bound to see her...but there was only a curtain separating him from another hospital bed. A bed Harthwin was betting someone was resting on. Who though, it wasn't sure. "Seryn? Seryn, is that you?" ☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲After being taken to the hospital by the medical team, Seryn had no idea since she had fainted. Let's just say that the amount of blood lost and need for immediate surgery was in place. Some time after and been transported to some ward, she had been left to rest with an oxygen mask and and IV. After what seemed like hours instead of minutes thanks to the kingdom's great technology and activated Aura users, Seryn had finally been taken into the room. Awake, without an mask, but with an IV and some other effects.
------
Upon time passed, messages had been sent to Conner Redland's, Iris Kenmasuta's, Cora Duncan's, and what would have been Felis's Brogan's scrolls.
Dear ______,
We have received note that you are a friend to Harthwin Kenmasuta and/or Seryn Lyall. If you wish to to see them, please visit the Vale Hospital located on Market Street. They will be in room 510A in the Emergency Ward. Please come during the hospital's open visiting hours from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Thank you and have a please day.
Sincerely,
William Silverstein
------
The nurse who had been in charge of taking care of Harthwin had walked in. She carried a scroll, tapping away at whatnot. She then gazed at Harthwin, who had been looking at the cot separating him and the other. A small sigh came from the aged woman. "That's indeed your teammate, Seryn, sweetheart. It's just that.." the nurse said, clicking her tongue before shaking her head. She tapped at the scroll as she approached the young Huntsman. "We got into contact with the school and both of your families." she continued, as she moved the curtain for Harthwin to see for himself. "It will take some time for both of you to heal."
Across the room, was unmistakably Seryn. She was covered in bandages from across her body, head, arms, and most likely her legs which were hidden under the blanket. She was sitting slightly up, staring off into space to the other side at the wall. Despite Harthwin's voice, she made no reaction. No jumpy twist, no breath of surprise, no leaping to the nearest bush. Just.. no reaction. Although Harthwin couldn't see, only dull dark eyes blinked, no longer with the usual shininess.
The nurse then bent towards Harthwin, unbothered by the fact he was still chained to the cot and that the bed was chained also. She then added, "She lost her hearing.. It is not permanent, but.." The nurse then sighed and walked over to Seryn. When she approached, Seryn then reacted, having seen and felt movement. Seryn leaped and turned before hissing in pain as the bandages still around her held her back. Then recognizing the nurse, Seryn relaxed before noticing Harthwin. In a flat, tiny voice, she said, "Hi.."

But one should always be careful for what they wish for; The sight of Seryn just about broke his heart.
Hearing Seryn speaking and seeing her waving to him had brought a proud smile to him and her felt so glad to know she truly was alive. He tried to raise his hands and wave back to her but the ever so real handcuffs that bind him to his decision wouldn't allow him to do so. A slight sigh escaped him before his eyes then turned to silver haired maid as he asks for a favor. "Dose your Scroll have a notepad that lets you enlarge print? You said she can't hear me too well and...I want to tell her how sorry I am for failing..Could you type that out for me? I'd do it myself but." Harthwin makes the cuffs jingle once but held a slight smile upon his face; putting up a tough front so he would have to show emotional vulnerability in front of Seryn. ((OOC: Sorry, though I posted what I had had written on the notepad, lol. Also, I'll be having the police chief coming in the room in a later/next post ))

FelisXXBrogan_________________________________________________ Adorable Healer | Team FRSH | Age 17 Semblances Mitosis: Ability to regenerate at a highly accelerated rate, may also transfer injuries from those around him into himself to heal them. Overly extended use and Mitosis causes Felis to fall into a recuperative sleep state.
Inverse Step: The effects of gravity around his body during activation are centralized, allowing him to traverse any surface what-so-ever no matter the incline even upside down. Effects last for five minutes and takes equal time to recover after use._________________________________________________Roughly four hours had passed since the point where the attack had reached it's conclusion and Felis' teammates had been taken to the hospital. Although given his own condition he had no idea they'd been hospitalized, having been carried home by Gwendolyn and left to rest upon his bed in his Mitosis induced coma. As he slowly awoke, he did so with the sudden images of their attackers flashing before his eyes causing him to flail violently as he had no idea where he was. Gwendolyn had been waiting in the other room tending to the children as she heard Felis' agitated growls and hisses. Ushering the children to go play she entered his room and reached out towards him, in his panic he swatted her hand away but she didn't seem bothered by it as she moved in and embraced him. His panic only intensified as he flailed violently, much as she expected him to and the sole reason she didn't want the medical staff to try and awaken him. Felis lashed out by clawing, biting and kicking, squirming as he tried to get out of the iron grip she was holding him in. She began to hum the very tune he'd play upon the flute, her own semblance shrugging off his attacks with ease until he calmed down. "Mama Gwendolyn...?" He muttered as he relaxed and looked up at the old woman who smiled at him. "There, better now?" She asked he responded with a slight nod as she let him go and took to her feet. There she explained to him the situation, doing so in the best manner she felt suited to do so as to not invoke him into a chaotic state. Though she knew given his past it was very nearly impossible to do so, she could only hope for the best. She knew it was only a matter of time before the hospital would try contacting him in regards to his teammates and took the time he was resting to attain a new scroll under his name. As such when the notification came she handed him the scroll and watched him hurry off. She would have accompanied him, but she couldn't leave the children alone for too long and she expected Felis would refuse to leave his friend's side once he saw the condition they had been left in. Though she had no idea the severity of Seryn's condition nor how Felis would take to questioning if the authorities were present. She could only hope for the best, even if she knew Felis well enough that she doubted it. Given Felis' desire to see his friend's as quickly as possible, Felis did what he swore he'd never do. He removed his boots and hooked them upon his belt loops, leaving his feet exposed, two crystalline structures upon the tops of his feet. However in removal of the heavy boots his legs could move even more swiftly allowing him to run at an incredible pace as he sprinted on all fours. Using his Inverse step to run across the walls to avoid traffic, all the while the structures upon his feet glowing as they were the physical manifestation of his ability. Without his boots they weren't protected from harm, a dangerous prospect given if they were damaged he'd lose his sense of balance, but worth the risk as he was out pacing the street traffic. He sped into the hospital, sliding to a stop, effectively crashing into the desk in the process startling a number of people. As he bounded up, he'd already put his boots back on and clasped them tight, swiftly asking where room 510A was located. Whilst they clearly weren't keen on such a loud and potentially catastrophic child into the emergency ward, he also clearly wasn't going to take no for an answer, as such they directed him and was done with it. Once he reached the room he opened the door, yet he didn't burst in as one would have expected of him, instead he gently knocked and opened it as he poked his ears in. They twitched a few times before he stepped inside and quietly shut the door behind him. "Hello...?" He called out, just out of sight of Seryn, Harthwin and the nurse at first before he walked in further. As Felis walked in the first person he saw was the nurse, giving her a greeting nod, his tail coiling around his waist as he did so. "I'm Felis... I got a message stating my friends are here...?" He said, unlike the other two he appeared uninjured, his body having recovered from everything he'd sustained, though most of it was internal anyhow as Brennus hadn't actively attacked him during the chase. He turned his head and spotted Harthwin, approaching him yet quickly noticed the cuffs. "Hey Kenny how are... what the heck is that for?" He started to ask then swiftly changed questions as his curiosity got the better of him. He clearly had been in a fight, bandaged and the like, why in the world was he cuffed as well? He reached down and fidgeted with the cuffs but it wasn't his area of expertise and while he "could" break them with his boots he would also break Harthwin's hand and possibly his arm in the process. Not something he was willing to try... Yet as he spoke to Harthwin his gaze moved past him at Seryn who was resting in the other bed. He slowly moved from Harthwin's side towards Seryn's bed unaware of her condition, yet concern clearly in his eyes. "Seryn...?"_________________________________________________ OOC:

☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲Something nearly other worldly seemed to be in the room as Seryn made no obvious reactions at Harthwin's attempt at the greeting. Her eyes did not even focus to make out why Harthwin couldn't wave. The nurse, noticing Harthwin's slight predicament, walked over and took out her scroll. There was no actual danger Harthwin could make unless if he was able to manipulate metal. In any case, the nurse walked over and handed him the scroll to what looked like a large notepad with a keyboard. However, she kept a small frown and glanced over at the still dazed Seryn, who was now staring at the wall as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Poor scrap. "Here we go." said the nurse.
Just as she was about to try to gather the young Faunus's attention, there was a knock on the door. The nurse glanced over and noticed a young, feline Faunus walk in. The nurse then walked over, glancing at the visitor head to toe. He didn't seem to be anyone suspicious. "Ah, Felis Brogan." the nurse said, nodding. She was just about to explain what has happened when the boy's attention shifted to his friend, Harthwin. Ah, the cuffs were definitely not the most appealing ways to keep patients in, it was by emergency. "He's under police interrogation along with Miss Seryn. Because they were both at the scene of the crime, the police will need as much information as possible, especially because it was a known criminal."
Her words were lost when the boy focused on his other friend, Seryn. Seryn had finally noticed Felis and only watched with the empty dark eyes. When he crept closer however, pure, utter fear came to Seryn's face. She tried to scramble away but only then hissed in pain. However, then she spoke. "S-stay away!!" Seryn nearly screamed, not realizing her voice was much louder than she realized as she couldn't hear herself. Her hands gripped the blankets wrapped around her legs. Her vacant eyes had some kind of crazed gleam in them, seeing something almost different.
The nurse then stepped in front of Felis, blocking his path towards Seryn. "I'm sorry, but you'll have to stay away from her for now." she said, a hand on Felis's shoulder that was much stronger than expected. "She.. She lost her memory of the last two years."

How was he really doing, what was he really feeling during this whole situation? The sentiment of feeling guilty came to mind, but he had no right feeling sorry for himself because the real victim here was Seryn. As for the cuffs...the nurse addressed that well.
So too could be said when she stepped between Felis and Seryn but he knew how that must have made Felis feel...I wanted to say something to cheer him up but what came from the nurse's mouth after that made that want feel like an impossibility. "No way...that can't be happening." Harthwin was shocked to hear that news and in a strange twist Harthwin became irritated. "You said it's going to take some time for us to recover but we are going to recover, aren't we? Seryn is going to come back around, right? She...she can't just forget about us like that..."

But it was when she screamed for him to stay away and even tried to use the blanket as some sort of support that his ears tilted back. Was she scared of him? "Monster!" The voice of his former friend from years ago rang within his head as he recalled the very same look of absolute terror upon their face. Now the same look was upon his best friend Seryn's, he could sustain no injury which hurt more than this. "Seryn..." He muttered, trying to move towards her, tears welling within his eyes as the nurse's grip planted him in place. "WHY!?" He shouted swatting the nurse's hand off his shoulder, emotions running wild as he looked up at the nurse, a mad frenzy building up within them. "Why do I have to stay away!? Wouldn't it be better if she's surrounded by her friends! For comfort, for support, to help bring the memories back!" He clenched his jaw, fanged barred as his more feral nature shone through as if he were about to attack or at the very least throw a tantrum. "I-It's not fair..." He finally managed to say, his body trembling as he emitted a low growl, though his voice was shaking just as heavily. After a moment his posture shifting from the somewhat aggressive state to a much more subdued one. His ears flattened to the point they hid within his hair, his hands fidgeting with his tail as he rolled it in his fingers. "You know, the best part is. I intentionally got her hurt, then you healed me. You're pathetic, can you really call yourself her friend? How can you look her in the eyes knowing you could have just surrendered and that would never have happened." The words which Johann had spoken to him silently as he froze Felis' lungs jarred him, and seeing her like this only solidified it. Felis started crying, letting his tail go as he sobbed, rubbing his eyes with his sleeves while his tail hung limp upon the ground, defeated. "I'll g-go..." He slowly moved to walk away, though he remembered something which Gwendolyn had given him before he'd left. "...Th-this is for her..." He spoke softly as he fought to keep his voice steady as he handed the nurse something then turned and ran away without another word and exited the room. The item he'd handed her was a small portrait, the one which they'd posed for as a team when they'd initially completed their forest test (and by association fully recovered). He kept it in his room at the orphanage and Gwen believed it would make for a decent "get well" gift for his friend. A sign that they were there to support her as she recovered, yet now she clearly was frightened of him so he had to leave no matter how much it hurt him to do so. ~Exits~ _________________________________________________ OOC:

He tried reaching out and asking him to stay but the cuffs wouldn't let him. His voice tried finding the strength to speak but only coughs escaped from his still healing lungs. How could this be happening? Why was this happening? It was heart-wrenching to see his friend leave with such woe but when he looked over to the photo of them as a team he then looks and desperately to Seryn and tries getting her to remember something, anything, that might help her remember who Felis is; his weak reflection on the glass of the picture frame with sad eyes what is contrast to the ones in the photo. "Seryn, you've got remember Felis, please. He's our leader, our teammate, our friend. That photo he gave is of a day Felis showed us how to become a team by being our leader, proving his worth, and showing the fierceness of his friendship. Me, you, Connor and Felis all made it through The Emerald Forest because we came together as a team...and then we became like a family." He sniffles a little and smiles as recalling it all brought a lace of sad but a bloom of happy truth. "Maybe not the most functional of families but one heck of a family nevertheless...Do you remember now, Seryn?"

☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲☲Seryn's utter display of utter fear and shock was beyond her usual behavior. Her eyes were stretched wide as her weak hands grasped the sheets, hoping for some way to get out of here. She wanted to see her family. She hated being in this hospital. She couldn't hear. She wanted to be back in her home town. The wounds hurt so much. And where did they come from?
The nurse shook her head slowly, still keeping Felis away from the obviously stressed Seryn. However, keeping him away only aggravated the Beacon student. As he swatted the nurse's hand away, she tensed herself up. She was ready to do her duty as a nurse to protect her patients and call security. However, the aggression passed as quickly as it came. "She is in a vulnerable state. It will only be a matter of time until she is calmer." the nurse urged. However, the Faunus didn't listen and finally gave a picture.
Across the room, Harthwin attempted to reach to Seryn also. Glancing at the still terrified Seryn, the nurse sighed. She walked over the Harthwin and unlocked the cuffs with a key hidden in her coat- something she kept hidden. The nurse felt pity for the team. Harthwin and Felis were trying to desperately to reach out to Seryn, who remained oblivious to their reaches.
Seryn glanced over at Harthwin to dimly read his words. It seemed that she saw Harthwin as someone not as dangerous, perhaps because the nurse, who Seryn trusted, was treating Harthiwn well. Upon reading, Seryn slowly shook her head. "No.. No, I don't remember.." she whispered, her voice lost again. The nurse handed Seryn the image, which she examined. Looking at the portrait, nothing came up. That was certainly herself, looking tired. But happy none the less. There was the cat Faunus, arm in arm with her. Next to her, was Harthwin. On the far part of the image, was a young man clad in red.
The farthest Seryn could remember was that she had just was accepted into Beacon. She was trying to find a team, but the school kept changing their minds. Two years of forgotten memory. The nurse gently prodded Seryn to lean back on the bed, making sure she didn't reopen her wounds from her earlier panic. Seryn shivered, suddenly cold. What had she done? What happened? Why was she here??
After checking Seryn, the nurse walked over to Harthwin. "Seryn will need more time to recover from her memory loss. She will need to go through therapy for the next couple of months. Our staff is already working on constructing her memories together with state of the art technology from Atlas." the nurse explained, as it was too late for Felis to hear. "However, as of right now, she doesn't know whom to trust. She believes she doesn't have a team."

Harthwin didn't want to believe it but he had to face facts and come to terms that Seryn might not get thous memories back. It was a hard truth, but one the only fueled his desire for justice. It was because of the White Fang that any of this happened. It was because of that damned wolf and who he works for that any of this happened. With his hands now freed and the thoughts of his teammate Felis out in the city somewhere Harthwin thanks the nurse for her kindness and says a few parting words to his once teammate before taking off.
"I am eternally grateful for you trying so much to help my team but also for tending to Seryn and I so well. I feel confident she'll be safe in your care. And Seryn...never lose that gut instinct of yours. It's served you well may times before and I trust if you hear your intuition you'll find the answers you need." Time was short and with the police chief coming at any moment to interrogate him Harthwin couldn't say as much as he'd like to. A heavy heart of wrath following the island prince as he slips out the room and makes sure to keep his face down as he escapes the hospital to begin his search for the White Fang, Brennus or any of his superiors to exact his revenge for Seryn and Felis. His only hope is that Felis is holding up well after Seryn's reaction and hasn't gone off to do something reckless as well. Exit
