We do try and stay up to date with prices on the MP, but sooo much changes so fast when gaia introduce new Alchemy quests and bundles.

I've seen a lot of the "values" vary from person to person. It really depends on what you're doing with the item, as well as how much you've got to spend getting it.
I deal a lot with the MP, buying items and then selling them to a private buyer in bulk for profit. So, I've got my own idea of how much they're worth, and my buyer has a completely different idea. In all honesty, I see a lot of the Game Item Exchange as moving up through "values."
For example, You'll see a crumpled paper in the MP for 60. Someone buys it, sells it on the MP for 1,000. Someone buys that one, sells it for 10,000. Etc, etc until the item gets put into a hoarders inventory. When deciding upon a value of the item, you gotta think of a few questions: Can I sell it for this amount? Is my profit worth the effort? How quick is my turnover? Are the risks worth it? I usually go through a few questions before buying that item (usually refreshing the values of the items once a week).
