Veronica awoke in a bigger cage, one she wasn't familiar with. She didn't know how long she had been unconscious, but it seems like it she had been out for a long while. Eerily, she could hear nothing but the sound of her own breathing and if she listened more closely, her heart beating. Her last master had sent her back, disappointed and outraged at the fact that Veronica had manipulated him into letting her escape his castle grounds. He sent his guards to go looking for her when she escaped and unfortunately, she was caught. When she was brought back, he slapped her and cussed in a foreign language then gave her back to the market he had bought her from. One of the men had given her a drink, which was probably spiked with herbs to make her sleep, which was why she was in this current predicament.
