Maybe off topic but I'm currently obsessing with Vampire Diaries!
Lately I've been dreaming of being in the Series itself, though I don't remember.
I've been waking up with two shadows standing next to my bed knowing that I just dreamed of VD.
So, first time waking up was a fright, second time was expected and I've been waking up 3 days in a row seeing two shadows then disappearing.

Conclusion - Horror is so not my Theme.
I prefer Scifi - Romance like Vampire Knights.

I once saw THE GRUDGE and ended up sleeping in my mum's bedroom for a week.

The first AVP movie isn't that bad the fighting scenes where the best part of the movie AvP2 It lacked depth for the poor human characters who were beings laughtered left and right, but we all know this movie's real star was the Predator and his hunt to contain an alien infestation, so there ya go. Better than the first AvP and Alien Resurrection, I'd say. And the predalien was a worthy addition to the mythos of the Alien'

Have you seen True Blood? I wasn't a fan of the exploding vamps when staked, lol.
I actually had a Twilight marathon, I love the Romance. I agree, Sparkly Vamps were over the top.

Weird cuz it was 3 times for me too. Why 3 though? Last night I woke up again and they weren't there.
I was kinda looking for them before I went to sleep again, weird though!
Maybe me ignoring them the 2nd and 3rd time put them off, lel.

My only and worse nightmare though! I had just visited family and I was asleep.
Opened my eyes then there was a girl in white clothing, long black hair.
She was pinned to the wall about 2 meters from my bed.
That wall though has a room behind it that we never use or go into anymore.
Anyhoo she started crawling down the wall and towards me.
I was so afraid she just put her face to my face and all I could see were her eyes through her long black hair.
They were so black but they weren't angry or sad or curious, it was like just looking at me.
I closed my eyes hoping I was dreaming then opened them and she was gone.
I tried to get up but I was in a frozen state, I could not move or call out to people outside my bedroom.
So I just rested there staring at the roof thinking if I was still asleep dreaming.
Though my heart was pounding at this time, I didn't know what else to do but TRY to get up.
I don't remember what I did now, I think I just went back to sleep and then told my story the next day.

Ever seen Inception? Has that ever happened with you?
Waking up within a dream within a dream within a dream.
It's happened to me twice and it's always in threes.

Oh yes! I have seen some Japanese horror films which are way way scarier and it gives NO happy ending, lmao.
If you're a Horror fan and Shutter scared your pants off, then I'm definitely staying away from that film.

You magically happened to mention the two films I hate! Lmao! I'll skip watching that for now.
Maybe when I'm not so spooked lol. OMG essay! Have fun reading, hehe!

I have to tell you I absolutely loved Cabin in the Woods.

The characters were great and I enjoyed the classic Joss Whedon dialogue. When Marty came back I was like "yes! He was the best character." I also like the fact that they showed us the other monsters. My only gripe with this movie, is the ending and i love the unicorn scene

No i never seeing true blood

Funny thing last night i dream that I'd wake up on my bed and get ready for the day, only to find myself waking up again on the same bed and have this sequence loop several times. In some loops I found myself waking up in slightly different places. It's was actually somewhat horrifying because I wasn't fully aware I was dreaming. Once I realised I'm stuck in a loop of dreams, I decided to jump off my balcony to try to wake up. I end up waking up in reality with my chest hurting really bad.

Oh thats a crazy nightmare i can see why you dont like the ring movie
when I was 15 I thought someone was outside my window with a flashlight. I got up and walked to the window, but saw there was no way light could get in from there. The venetian blinds were down and shut and I had rubber-backed blackout drapes on the window and they were closed. I turned on the light and I checked the house and found nothing.

Not knowing what it was, I turned out the light and went back to bed. As I lay there, I had a sense that I was not alone. The room was pitch black and I couldn't see anything.

But I saw movement at the foot of my bed. As I watched, the dark shape of something that looked like a human moved from the foot of my bed up to where my head was.It didn't just walk up as a normal human would do, but floated. And with each step, the shape stayed where it stood until it reminded me of a string of black paper cut-out dolls.

It stood there until I jumped up and turned on the light. There was nothing there. I wasn't really afraid of whatever it was because I had a strong feeling it it was going to hurt me

W sad hen i was 18 years old and just started my freshman year at houston university

I decided to stay in a dorm for school I've always had an uneasy feeling living in that dorm, One night, something pretty freaky happened

It was about 10 p.m. and I was dorm alone. I was lounging on one of , flipping though the channels on the TV while occasionally dozing off. There were two lamps on in the room: one directly next to my bed and one across the room As I lay there with my eyes trained on the TV, I noticed something shift in the corner of my vision. I had assumed it was a fly and didn't look right away... until it moved again. So I turned my head to the left and watched in amazement at some sort of shadow that seemed to have long, curled fingers (which reminded me a lot of one of those amoeba-type critters I had learned about in science class) stretch from beneath the lamp, over the side of the bed and onto the floor in front of me.

As the shadow moved, it grew in mass, yet there was nothing in the room that could cast such a shadow. The fat "fingers" splayed across the floor and crept closer and closer to where I was sitting. There was no sound (except the background noise of the television) and absolutely no object that could create such a shadow!

I rubbed my eyes, thinking maybe I was just tired and seeing things, but the shadow was still there when I opened my eyes, and it was closer still. Curiosity was rapidly turning to fear as the thing grew even larger and practically covered the entire floor. I knew I had to act quickly before I let whatever this thing was touch me. so I run out of the room .

So I totally missed this because the code was broken. Found it via re-stalking Sub-forums.

Wow, getting hurt is intense. But I've never had enough loops to want to hurt myself to wake up.
Worse thing I ever had was chest pain waking up like something fell on me but I thought it was like a mini heart attack.
I don't remember the dream though.

Dreaming of Marionette Shadows is creepy too! Just reminded me of this for some reason.

As for your last dream. I feel like it's missing half the story cuz of the broken code. Unless that was it.
Sounds to me like it could've been a Spider. Or a hallucination IF you were on drugs, lel.
Totally not saying anything, just throwing theories/possibilities.

The mind is the scariest thing we have! Believe it enough and it's there.

Though best dream ever was me visiting my deceased Grandma.
She welcomed me with loving arms and whispered in my ears that it was ok.
I woke up already crying in my sleep and I cried for hours but I was able to let go.
I've always had this guilt that I wasn't there in the end. But she made it ok.

Another good dream was when I did my essay, hehe.
Woke up annoyed because it was in my hand.
But happy that I knew what to write for it.

Have you ever controlled a dream before?

I adore horror films above any other genre, with a potential exemption for documentaries. Due to this I cannot so easily pick a favorite, but I can definitely list some great titles.
Babadook
Housebound
The Shrine
Carved(Japanese, kind of esoteric to their folk lore, but I liked it)
Fallen(unrivaled in plot twists)
One Missed Call(I cannot say this is some amazing film, but it is a nostalgia thing for me)
Orphan

Prince_Anpiel

Quotable Smoker
