Mithril City. The largest central hub in all the land. Home to nearly Eighty million denizens of all shapes and sizes. From humanoids to spirits from the astral plane, all have come and found home in Mithril City. It is a bustling metropolis of life, around each corner, a new horizon of opportunity awaits those who seek it. It is here that anyone could start a new life, a new chance to reinvent themselves, or even to continue one long forgotten.
The city itself is broken up into 5 sections, known as the Divisions. Each division acts as its own mini city, but supports the whole mega city in their own unique way. At the center of Mithril City is the grand palace, known as the Mithril Spire. It is here that the earliest beginnings of Mithril City began, as a lone crystal golem is the sole denizen of the Spire. The being never speaks, as it spends it eternal days tending to the Spire, watching over any of those that visit its glorious features. As the city was built around it, the new citizens decided to make Mithril City about understanding each others cultural beliefs. No citizen shall be repelled from living in Mithril City, so long as they do not hinder on other denizens own right to live there. Do you have the ambition to live here? The oldest division in all of Mithril City, it is within its confines that you can witness the true expansion of society. Buildings alone seem to transition from newer to older the closer you get to the heart of History. It is here that the oldest knowledge can be found. Museums, libraries, ancient shrines, and much more can be located in this relic of divisions. Though new sections have been built, the most prominent buildings here have seen the decades pass.
The Mechanized heart of the city, this division is by far the most densely populated area of the 5 divisions. It is here that all of Mithril City's manufacturing, mining, and industrial work is done. From miners to engineers, corporate officials and construction workers, this division houses them all and then some. The very inner sections of DoC is very well kept, as they serve as the first impressions for those who do business in DoC. Company buildings, larger shop fronts, and show piece shops reside here. Past the inner section you find the slums, the very heart of DoC. This is where most residents live. Overcrowded, damp, dark, and foreboding, it is not a very hospitable place here. Crime rate is high in this section, but millions call it home, for there is nowhere else for them to move to. Past the slums you find the mines and construction factories. This is where most of the slums denizens work. They spend hours upon hours of their lives working here, extracting minerals and ores from the land below the surface.
The smallest division in Mithril City, Governance makes up for his size with its importance. Housing the courthouses, various government buildings, the mayor's office and the head police station. This is is also referred to as the 'strictest' division in all of Mithril City. Various political figures live here, as they are safer here than having to travel from the other divisions for work. The innermost sections are filled to the brim with the government offices and courthouses, with the police departments right behind them. Just past all this is the military base stationed inside of Mithril City. The cities militia gathers here regularly to undergo routine training. Past all of this is Mithril City's maximum security prison, Paolou Prison.
The most technologically advanced division of Mithril City, Servitude is a metropolis all in itself. The epicenter of shopping, fame, fortune, & wealth, nearly every denizen of Mithril City has spent their fair share of time in Servitude. From shopping malls, dance clubs, social eateries, parks, schools, universities, you name it and Servitude will have it. Despite all the attractions here in Servitude, it is the least populated division as far as living denizens go. Most of the population live in the other divisions, but travel there daily. Servitude has a few different sections, as the innermost section consists of the shopping centers and most of the attractions. Just past that is the universities and various research centers. As you pass by those, you find the lavish section known as Han'ei Hills. Mostly just houses, this is populated with hundreds of mansions, owned by the wealthiest of families in Mithril City.
The largest division in Mithril City, Prosperity is the most rural of all the divisions. Consisting of mostly countryside, rolling hills, and luscious forests, this is the heart of all food sources in Mithril City. Having cultivated the land during early development, Prosperity grows produce and all forms of food, from grains, fruits, vegetables, to livestock. The rivers in Prosperity provide the fish they need. The innermost sections of Prosperity is where the distribution centers are located. All of the food gathered in Prosperity passes through these buildings, as they are packaged and shipped to the other 4 divisions. Further into Prosperity is where most of the populace here lives, in small rural styled villages. They sustain themselves like a small country village would, but provide the overall crops for everyone. They spend their days harvesting the crops, raising the cattle, and so forth. On the outermost reaches of Prosperity is the vast forests. These forests provide the lumber for all sorts of uses in Mithril City. It is also inside this forest system that the Sacred Grove can be located. A place of worship, it is home to various shrines of the deities and spirits of Mithril City.

This Role play is intentionally left rather open ended, as this is a beta testing for a book I have been writing. I wanted to see if others would enjoy the setting as much as I have. I will be playing the role of the main character I wrote into the book, but aside from that, the only real things being brought over from the book will be some events I will unleash later. If anyone would like to take over a role of any small minor characters, feel free to message me about them. I have a few I have concepts done on, but nothing further into their backstories or how they respond to the character.
If you also would like things explained better, let me know, as I said, I'm writing a book around this and still am working out kinks in the story/plot.
