It is rare for any being to look up at the night sky without wondering if somewhere among the stars is a world like their own…. If they are truly alone in the Universe…. What mysteries may hide beyond the dark void… Eyes often look far into the horizon forgetting to think that sometimes the biggest discoveries are waiting right under their nose.
Science and rational thinking, although one of mankind’s greatest gifts, is also one of its greatest inhibitor. For it to exist it must make sense, or at least somewhat understood.
Magic… mystical creatures…
There are no rational rules to justify the existence and as a consequence humans turned away from them. Over time these truths faded into myths and legends, stories to tell children at night. Unwanted and unused, magic left the world changing it forever. But… where could it have gone? Could magic truly disappear without a trace?
The truth to that question, if anyone were to wonder, will soon come to pass. Forgotten and lost things have a tendency of coming back, sooner or later. The true question that should be asked, is if the world is ready for magic to return?
The clock is ticking. Nothing can be contained forever. Those wise enough to see the signs will know that magic will be once more. Somehow it has found a way. One can only imagine what chaos the unknown will bring to this world of “reason”, yet, nothing happens for without purpose.
The world is in for a change, but will it be for the better or worse?

Magic has always been a part of life, of the world. It is everywhere in the Universe, just not everyone is open enough to feel it. Humans have always been stubborn creatures and in time neglected magic. Wither it was out of fear or misunderstandings, it was labeled as evil, unwanted, unneeded. It is unclear how magic vanished from Earth, but it did. Some say humans locked it away. Others believe magic hid itself out of self preservation. No one knows for sure, at least the ones who care enough to ponder if magic ever existed.
There is a select group with some insight on the matter for they have been the secret's guardians for centuries. However, they don't hold all the answers either. The only thing they know, is where it has been hiding. It never left Earth, it merely took a different form, a book. As long as it remains closed, magic will remain on its pages. To keep the book safe, these guardians never live long in one place. Over time they have been called gypsies. Even among them, only a handful know of the book. For a secret to be kept, it is easier the fewer know.
They have been forbidden by their ancestors to ever open the book. The reasons for why aren't well known, just the fear great chaos would fall on the world if it was done so too early. They believe when Magic is ready it will open itself.
Hopefully, no one thinks of opening it before it is too soon.
