Nure-onna (literally "wet woman") is a creature who allegedly dwells in bodies of water, mostly in seashores, rivers, and springs. It has a head (and mostly upper body) of a woman, while the lower part of it is of a huge snake. It initially pretends to be an innocent, beautiful girl who is drowning, but then it lures its victims towards the water and paralyzes them using its snakelike eyes. Afterwards, it either: 1. uses its snakelike tongue to suck all the blood out; or 2. snatches its victim using its long, sharp claws and drags them towards the depths.
