Hey there; I'm Desi, and I'm looking for a few roleplays to help pass the time! I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet, so if you're also in the mood for some roleplayin' and you feel like giving me a chance, read on!
The Rundown
- I'm looking for something casual with a relatively frequent rate of posts, at least once a day, though I won't go berserk if you skip a day here or there; hopefully you'll extend the same to me?
- I'll likely be typing 2-3 paragraphs a post, though I won't expect my partner/s to mirror if I post longer; in fact, as long as you can make at least one solid paragraph per post, I'll be happy!
- I'm female, but I can play male or female, M/M or F/F or M/F. Similarly, what gender you are doesn't matter to me, but I'd love a M/M or F/F RP!
- In romance, or just in character-interaction, I tend to play more dominant types. Some people specifically say they don't like "ukes"/submissive types, but super-ukes are welcome! :3
- I generally use anime-style pics or, if we're RPing through PMs, I'll just describe my character. If you use references, I have no preferences! xD
- Speaking of which, I'm available for thread-based or PM-based RPs. I prefer PMs and thread-based RPs will take place here in the guild. I'm afraid you can only expect a basic format from me! ^_^;
- I'm looking for small group or 1x1 RPs! Feel free to link me to group RPs outside the guild and I'll consider them, but please don't just link me to your own search thread.
- I'm looking for someone who can share the creative load, so please don't leave me to move the plot/relationship forward on my own. Be active! Make things happen!
- I'm always up for making changes if the RP is getting stale or just isn't working, but I'm also good with cutting it short if we can't work things out. I won't hold it against you if you ditch me, but I'd appreciate a heads-up!
- I'm generally not comfortable playing canon characters, so for fandom-based RPs I'll almost always be playing OCs. Feel free to play OCs or canons as you prefer!
- We can also mix and match the ideas below, combine them, or do something else altogether! If you have plots or pairing you want to try that aren't listed here, let me know!
- Romance optional: If you want to RP a platonic relationship, especially something family- or surrogate-family related, let me know! Example: Sorcerer + Apprentice where the the Sorcerer is a surrogate parent instead of a love interest.

Hey, I'd be interested in trying Priest/ess x Criminal they're attempting to reform pairing with you! ouo I figured, since you don't have a plot idea yet, we could glance over the plots you already have listed and see if any of those would be compatible?
Like Best friends in a fantasy-world set out on a quest could work in which the priest/ess and criminal have a history together as close friends previous to their current lifestyles and the priest/ess is attempting to reform the criminal during the course of the quest?
Or the pair could be a set in Non-zombie apocalypse (or after the zombies are gone), in which the population is small so the priest/ess is unwilling to give up on the criminal (or maybe the criminal and/or the priest/ess are the first humans they've encountered after the apocalypse so they stick together?)
Or anything at all. ;w; Just chucking ideas out.

I'd love to RP with you, not to mention those suggestions are great! Immediately upon reading them an idea popped up for both variations, at least in rough-idea form:
ver. Best friends on fantasy quest
The characters were childhood friends (either from similar backgrounds or from vastly different ones, like an orphan and the child of a rich family) but lost touch with each other due to a calamity that befell their hometown, one that killed many and scattered the survivors. They believed the other dead and one became a priest/ess who, years later, takes up a post in a large city. There the church works in tandem with the government, meaning that the priest/ess is there when a strangely-familiar criminal is brought in, slated for execution. The priest/ess recognizes their old friend who stubbornly pretends not to know them, but later admits to their identity when the priest/ess visits them in their cell. They won't say anything about the crime, but the priest/ess is convinced they're not guilty and persuades the higher-ups to change their punishment. The criminal is given a dangerous task to complete instead, and the priest/ess (voluntarily or as punishment) goes along to see it carried out.
I'm thinking the quest has to do with the crime, ex. stealing something invaluable requires getting it back or finding an incredibly rare duplicate (both dangerous), or murdering a noble places the criminal in service to the noble, who assigns them a task they believe to be suicidal. Maybe the criminal, instead of being sentenced to execution, is instead going to be handed to the noble/s as an indentured servant, but the noble/s are brutal enough that the priest/ess intervenes? The crime might also have something to do with what happened to their hometown, like it was attacked by an enemy power/warlord and the criminal is now accused of being a spy/assassin/otherwise working for that enemy.
ver. Non-zombie/Post-zombie apocalypse
A settlement has weathered the apocalypse due to its remote location and resources (underwater farms, water source, etc), but its population has slowly dwindled; they regularly scout for other settlements but have found none. One day a stranger arrives claiming to have found them "by chance," but the story breaks down when they admit to having forced the location from a dying scout. Most believe the stranger killed the scout (they might have) and want an execution, but the priest/ess argues that the stranger might be valuable to their shrinking community and the criminal becomes their responsibility.
Honestly, both ideas have so much potential I'm having a hard time choosing between them, and of course I'd love to hear any more input/ideas you have, but I gotta admit I'm leaning towards the former: I love the dynamic of old/childhood friends taking different paths, and the disparate backgrounds provide different skillsets for use on the quest. (I'd also be willing to play either role in this case, if you'd rather play the criminal.)

Both ideas feel exciting now, but I'm leaning towards the former too since I feel it has more direction and more things to work with than the latter. Plus, admittedly, the relationship seems more complex and interesting with a history like that between the two.
I'm pretty cool with either role, honestly, so you can pick, if you have a preference? ='D I'm pretty indecisive on things like that so I don't know if I could come up with a decision in a timely manner to be honest.

Haha, thanks, and the former it is then! If you're good with either role, I'll stick with the criminal as in the original suggestion. Would you like to plan some/most of it out before we get started, like things about their background/the event/the world/etc, or just sort of throw stuff in and discuss it as we go?
Did you have a preference for M/M, F/F, or M/F? As mentioned earlier I'd prefer one of the first two at the moment, but I'm really starting to look forward to RP'ing this idea so I'd maybe do M/F if you really wanted to. Also, are you good with PMs or would you prefer to make a thread here in the guild? If it's the latter, I'm not exactly good at post-formats or character pics, though like the intro says your own formats/pics are up to you! xD

I think discussing an overview of their backgrounds together would be nice and a bit on the world? Not super detailed, but it would help in understanding the characters to know what they grew up in. ='D
And then we can just get it started and discuss other things as they come up. ouo I may ask a lot of questions/want to discuss a lot of details with you, and I hope you don't mind it, but I like to make sure we're both on the same page and stuff.
I think PMs are fine with me! ='D And, hrm, I'm pretty cool with all m/m, f/f, and m/f. Do you have a gender figured out for your criminal? ='O I can match whatever it is no problem, since you're interested in the first two.

Planning in PMs seems like it'd be most convenient since we'll be RP'ing through there, so I'll send you a PM with the (really basic) ideas I have for my criminal/the plot/the world and we can flesh it out from there! Don't worry about discussing the details because I love talking things out with RP partners, not to mention it saves a lot of trouble if we're coming at it from the same POV. xD
