Hello members,

As you all know, I have made this guild to agree with the Terms of Service for Gaia Online and it should be expected that you all agree to the terms and services of this guild as well as Gaia Online.

Here is the ToS for Gaia Online and the Rules:

Terms of Service of Gaia Online

Rules & Guidelines of Gaia Online

Rules are similar to the Rules and Guidelines of Gaia Online, but I will post them on what is KEY in this guild.

[ RULES OF THE GUILD ]

1. Be Courteous - This is the number ONE rule I will be looking at when you all are chatting away in the Out of Character Thread. You do not demand respect, for respect is earned by your peers for your act. If I see any of you direspecting anyone or acting rude, you will be given a warning. If your mannerisms have not improved, then you will be removed from the guild as a whole.

2. No Spamming outside of the Out of Character Thread - Please keep all the spamming or the quick chatter in the Out of Character Thread, it'll keep the other forums clean and well prepared for all the new Roleplay. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me or an officer who is online to assist you on where your topic shall go.

3. No Trolling - Posting material that is inflammatory or intended solely to offend or provoke other members is called 'trolling', and is not permitted. Again, if you are caught attempting to troll on another member, or provoking them, you will be given a warning or possibly removed from the guild based on your behavior.

4. No Stalking - Persistent harassment of an individual or group of individuals against their wishes (commonly known as 'stalking') is not permitted. If someone asks you to stop, please leave them alone. If the member comes to us that you are 'stalking', we will step in and immediately ban you based on proof of your actions. I know this may not happen, but the Guild Master and the officers will step in to ensure that the members are safe.

5. Respect the TOS - Encouraging or endorsing violations of our Terms of Service, or illicit activities in general, is not permitted.

6. Be Constructive - When commenting on a roleplay idea, please try to be constructive in your criticism or balance criticism with praise. Try not to be too aggressive or vulgar towards an individuals idea or thought of a new storyline. If you continue to thrust negative comments towards that individual, you will be given a warning. You will be removed from the guild if you do not change your behavior.

7. No Cybering - Soliciting or engaging in cybersex is not to be encouraged in our threads. If you have the need to go further in detail, then by all means, please take it to your Private Message. If your In Character (IC) session encounters a 'sexual plotline' take it to Private Message or do a 'Time Warp' to ensure that the content stays out of the guild thread.

8. If In Doubt, Ask - If you are submitting content to The Royal Family and you are unsure if you should be posting this content, then please contact the Guild Master, or your online officer at the time. This will ensure that the rules are still followed, and that the guild remains clean.

1. No Godmodding - What is God-Modding? There are multiple perspectives of what it really is. It is very important to remember that as each sub-style is different, legitimate God-Modding may change. Each sub-style calls for different limitations and as the limitations decrease, higher levels of toleration occur. What is legal and not fluctuates. Overall, GMing refers to different things. Remember, no one is capable of dodging forever. We may be in a fantasy (or scientific for some) driven world, but we need to remember where the logic lies. Realism is expected. No, a spirit bomb is not going to exactly be realistic. But if you start using electrons, positrons, neutrons, protons, or any form of physics - quantum and not, expect that to be exposed. You can use whatever form of combat you wish, so long as you're having fun. But with the concepts of physics, there are laws that can be applicable.

2. No Auto-Hitting: Auto-hitting is basically while in a combative situation, you hit the opponent without the other person's permission. The basis on this is similar to Godmodding.

Ex. Bob threw a rock at Jim and hit him in the head.

The above situation is something that is not advisable. Please refrain from doing so, the appropriate way would be along the lines of what is below.

Ex. Bob threw a rock aimed at Jim's head.

The above situation actually provides the chance for your opponent to dodge the attack.

3. No Puppeteering - No single person has the right to control your character without justification or permission. That's the bottom line. In order to do so, you would require OOC permission to do so. Furthermore, the only way to justify an effect on someone's character without them stating it in their post is if they either ignore the attack, do not properly counter it, or if you are writing up their death post. The same applies to things attached to the character such as clothing. Another form of PTing is knowing one's location without justification and/or assuming they didn't make an action during your preparation phase.
