Ereos hadn't expected it to have taken so long to arrive. It had been some time since he last swam through this river, he needed to properly protect what technology he did carry this time, along with keep water from slipping pas the sheath of his blade. If it rusted it would cause him many issues in the future.
He sighed, combing his fingers through his wet hair as he climbed out of the water. He closed his eyes for a moment to allow his features to return to a more human like shape, then he adjusted his clothing appropriately. He knew he needed to hurry to his brothers club before Kries did something or someone had stumbled in and seen something they shouldn't.
He exhaled the breath he took in, and called Kries to check on him. He was at the halfway point after all.
"Kries, I'm calling to check on you, I'm at the Riverside now."
"They'll be dead by then! What do I do now!? Fetchlings don't have endless blood!" A Fetchling? That wasn't good, if he remembered correctly the Fetchlings had a gang in the city, hopefully it wasn't one of their members.
"A Fetchling just walked in and collapsed?"
"No! they looked like they got beat to s**t before hand!" He sighed inwardly.
"Didn't you check to make certain the doors were locked before you called me?"
"Is this really the time to criticize me about door discipline?" Actually it was one of those times were his lecture was appropriate. If the persons condition was related to a fight among the gangs or with one of the monsters Cleka is known for, then it was a big problem that one of them collapsed in Kries' club.
"It is, do you know just how bad this could look if this Fetchling belongs to the Gang?" He knew how paperwork went, monster attacks were one thing. Gang attacks were something else. He sighed inwardly again.
"WHY DO YOU THINK I'M PANICKING!?" Kries had screeched in his ear which caused Ereos to frown deeply, his ears were still sensitive from changing forms twice.
"Don't Yell at me." He hissed in response, his voice having darkened. "I wasn't in the water that long ago."
"Ah... sorry..." He sighed softly at that, grateful the screeching had stopped.
"I forgive you. I'm on my way, it'll still take me some time to get there, so just..." There was a pause as he took in a breath, before exhaling it. "Be careful." He hung up the phone after he said that. There had been concern in his voice but he didn't think his brother would really hear it.
He tucked the phone away and began making his way to Sirens Song.
