Hey there! I can't say Im any expert and do think the best option for you is to talk to a family doctor (especially if any pills such as Ortho Tricyclen made you feel uneasy) but I just switched over to the patch and let me tell you its been a dream! Im on Evra right now and the only problem Ive had is redness from the adhesive. I do suggest very highly to speak with a doctor before going on the patch though, just because as far as I can tell its a stronger and steadier stream of hormones coursing through you at all times, and a whole bunch of estrogen in your system makes it easier to get blood clots.
If you are just in it for the contraceptive and simply aren't liking condoms (trust me, I have a latex allergy and its the literal worst) try using things like spermicides to curb off the babies for a bit longer! There also is always the option of the injectable Birth Control, but you need to keep in mind that if you do wish to have children that could compromise it for at least the next few years and will not protect against STI's.
My words of advice with whatever route you choose to go, invest in a blood pressure monitor and check every few days. This way, if you Birth Control starts to mess with you or if your arm starts hurting and you get paranoid you are as in the know as possible.
