Far away from the Pavilion everyone else was gathering at as of late, Belial and his familiar, Poe, were visiting a place they had been to so often it was like a second home to them. Well, maybe just home. The dark Wini had always had an interest in souls, spirits, death, and how they all worked. He considered himself a bit of a soul collector, and during the war he had been.. well, very busy. While his companions Slim and Lurch had been interested in the physical aspects of victims, his interests had lain elsewhere. That is why he preferred the Barrows to other locations. He felt he connected well with its... occupants...though they came and went. And so he was about to try something most would call crazy. He wasn't sure his experiment would work, but if it did...well.... He smirked at the thought of what a success might mean.
As he settled himself in the middle of the Barrows, his familiar keeping out of the way and making sure some random intruder didn't interrupt his bond, Belial had all he needed for a summoning, except for other demons. But he wasn't looking for just any demons. He was looking for the dead and deceased. He wanted to see if, in this powerful place, he could attract the souls of those lost during the war, or some other time, to help him create -new- life. And so he closed his eyes and concentrated, calling out in his deep voice to whatever spirits might be listening.
"Oh, spirits...lost souls...wanderers. Hear me, and my plea. Though your physical forms may be gone forever, let me help you live on, in another way. Join me in this sacred rite, in the hopes that your legacies you may thought lost to time, can still continue. Lend me your energies, your power, your very being, to my summoning ritual. Help me do what others view impossible, and we will show them true power, YOUR power, to live on, even in death. Aid me, and we will prove that death is not a thing to fear." The demon started chanting, waiting, hoping his gambit worked. What might he, no, THEY, create? He wasn't sure. But whatever happened, or didn't happen, would be worth it in the end. Even in failure one gained experience.---------- OOC: Basically, Belial is attempting a summoning ritual for amulets, but with the dead. What does this mean? If anyone has demons from the shop that did NOT survive the war (not re-certed vets, not MIA, only those you consider permanently dead XD), they can 'apply' to the er, 'ad' Belial is chanting out there in the Barrows.
No gender prefs, or specie prefs, of course, he doesn't care who answers, just if it works. XD IF it's successful, and who knows if it's even possible, keep in mind there could be um..........side effects to whatever might come of it. He's messing with some weird dark magic stuff here after all! XDD;;

A strange voice floated to her, dimly familiar. Time was different, she did not know or care where or when it was. But she was bored, and maybe curious. Wandering... floating? closer but unseen, Gwen blinked away the barrow mists and peered at the intruder. Only it was not an intruder, she had seen this creature often skulking around the Blackwoods. Had even tried talking to him but the connection was weak and she couldn't seem to make herself known. What was he up to this time? She meandered closer, listening to his chanting. A sigh escaped her, if only it WAS possible to help him with this weird summoning he wanted to do... Curiously, she felt herself much more there than usual, and added her own will to the feeling the chanting was causing. Wait, was she able to show herself? Tossing her mane, Gwen grinned devilishly, as she could almost feel herself breathing un-needed breaths as she hazily formed opposite the dark demon."Hey there creepy... not really my type but a girl gets desperate after a few years alone ...." she whispered haughtily, as she added her power to this summoning nightmare he had started.

Despite the aching loneliness, Ochre was used to the quiet; even in life she'd been shy, skittering around the trappings of conversation and using Harlow as a physical shield against unwanted attention. Those days were long gone now, however, leaving her to haunt the barrows in an endless, solitary daze.
She'd long grown used to glimpses of others through the mist. Some paying respects, some simply trying to get a good scare... this one looked fairly familiar. Oche surmised she'd probably seen him wandering around at one point or another. Although she hadn't intended to get so close, the pull she felt of sheer longing for even brief contact drew her straight to the source.
Her claws flexed, digging into what she was certain was soft loam beneath wispy paws. If she focused hard enough, she almost could swear she felt it.
She didn't speak, preferring to stick to the outskirts of the ritual... but curiosity and desperation pushed her to add her power as well.

Belial was focused deeply on the ritual, hoping he would be heard. It wasn't the ideal time of year for this, Halloween was always best with spirit communion, but while other demons were so focused on infatuation and love towards those who were physically here, he was hoping to use these souls' longing for what was, and what could be, to attract them to him, here. Finally, he felt a presence, and risked opening his eyes. He could SEE someone there, and heard her whisper to him. He hid a smirk. Whether or not he was her type, didn't matter. This was an experiment. Business, as it were. If he could get this to work, he hoped to be able to focus it better in a later experiment. For he would keep trying until it reached perfection.
He continued, the elder female's power joining in, and before long he felt another presence. It was weaker, on the edge of the ritual, hesitant to join in, but he felt them drawn to him regardless. When she felt it, and added her power to the rite more desperately after a few moments, he finally did smile.
Now...to see if he could attract others. The more, the better...and, he hoped, the higher chance of this working.

Hallie's spirit moved through whatever space it was currently occupying. She was so alone and she had barely even had a life when she was still made of flesh. Sh always felt alone. The pull of power and energy was attractive and she couldn't help but move towards it. It had been so long since she had felt the presence of others. Even in life, demons had avoided her and she them. Whatever was happening, she couldn't stop herself from becoming a part of it. Whatever was left of her flowed towards whatever it was that was building in intensity and she joined it gladly, with curiosity and eagerness.

Belial was so very pleased he had managed to attract a decent number of spirits. He felt this next one join in eagerly, and he latched onto that power, trying to help it join in. He felt the summoning getting stronger, but he hoped he could manage to bridge the realms of the living and the dead to complete it, or it might be all for naught, save for a learning experience.

I am going to approve this with a caveat that since it ties in to an already planned shop progression arc it may be a bit before you guys see the results of this hot mess and also I don't know what exactly will be the result just yet but there is the possibility of failure of some kind lol. Stay tuned? MUAHAHAHA ninja
