In glistening red paint written in small, direct print along the side of a clean white skull from some animal or another, are the words...

I wish to create offspring.
Younglings who lean toward the macabre that I may guide and teach the ways of shadows.
Only those who walk the side of darkness need apply. Male or female is of no importance.

The gleaming white skull catches Shade's attention. She wonders if it's someone she knows. Intrigued by the request, she runs off to find something to write on. Returning, she drops a leg bone (best not to ask where it came from) next to the skull.

On the bone it reads..

Your words of red have drawn me out. The darkness is my friend and I do not fear it. I have danced with the devil under a pale moon. Will you dance with me?

Shade wonders if she should have used red paint like the seeker. No matter, she muses, it was short notice and blood is red too.
