A bright yellow light shot across the vast area of space as it darted towards a belt of meteor rocks that orbited around a foreign and undiscovered moon. As it landed on a rock, the light dimmed and revealed a female figure with long hair slowly flowing around her. Her squinted eyes flared the yellow power that was no one with her as she examined her power ring. She waited, for a couple seconds before the ring began to educate her of the history of the Corps.

"There was a time, long ago when the Sinestro Corps forged alliances with the Manhunters, the Anti-Monitor and a warrior known as Superboy-Prime in a major attack against the Green Lantern Corps and Earth. It was all part of our Master’s plan to make the Guardians afraid enough to enact new laws. One of the laws were to authorize Green Lanterns to use lethal force, which meant the had to adjust a few laws in the Book of Oa. The Corps engaged in huge attacks against Oa, Mogo and Earth. We killed many Green Lanterns in the process, but in the end, we were driven off and some were captured including our leader Sinestro himself. The Green Lantern Corps hounded us in the aftermath of the Sinestro Corps War. The corps was scattered and being pursued by Green Lanterns. The power rings looking for new candidates were also being chased down and later destroyed on Oa. On top of that, female members of the Corps were being taken by the Star Sapphire Corps and converted. Without leadership, the Corps was disorganized and on the run. This changed when a ring found and selected Mongul as its new bearer. He took advantage of sinestro’s absence to position himself as the Corps’ new leader, invading the planet of Daxam and calling all members of the Sinestro Corps to meet him there. He declared himself as the new leader and defeated Arkillo when challenged. Meanwhile, others still loyal to Sinestro freed him from the Red Lantern Corps. Then, the Corps was divided between two leaders. A lot has happened between the Sinestro Corps War and our current date, also a lot has changed since then. But you, Calypso, are chosen to do great things through the power of the Qwardian yellow power ring. You were found with nothing in a damaged escaped pod 10 years ago, now you are ready to begin your journey as a Yellow Lantern."

The ring interacted with her as a normal AI, it became her first friend and the only one she was able and willing to trust. All others were prohibited to get close unless they wanted a blade through their brain. Lia Mars was fierce but she was well disciplined. She still remembers her training and how horrible and painful it was, but it all worked out for her. Her emotions were balanced and control and her skills were as sharp as her tongue. She had been allowing her AI to educate her more about the corps, and the planets, the stars, the sectors, the lanterns and one special planet that sticks out like a sore thumb in this universe... Earth. Sector 2814.

"Everyone's favorite Sector" Calypso curiously asked her power ring , "Who is the lantern assigned to that sector?" the AI immediately replied that it was Green Lantern Harold Jordan. She grinned.

A faint glow began to flicker upon the man's right index finger, but it would remain unnoticed as his eyes were solely focused upon the television in the small diner. Fingers tensed, eyes filled with hatred as a yellow glow seemed to cascade over his pupils ever so slightly while the man began to crack the mug without realizing. His mind was funneling all his attention to the sight of green lanterns once again saving the day, giving hope to those of this polluted nation. This curly haired man who hated every light of ray that flickered through the truth of life was Jackson and he truly despised the justice league for every emotion they gave to humanity besides fear. The yellow irises flickered towards the counter where a woman cowered behind it once more, limp bodies could be seen flung against the walls. Jax took care of anyone who possessed the possibilities of a challenge to him to incite fear into the rest so that resistance would seem obsolete to the rest. "Hope... Safety.. Security! These things are what brings fallacies into the true nature of life, no?" The smooth voice questioned around him as his right hand moved from beneath the black coat that draped his shoulders, touching upon the table. As Lia's ring became more active, Jax's began to grow brighter, illuminating the back of his hand now in an attempt to get his attention. "Just like you ma'am! You had hope that those men would take care of me... Safety that they would protect you and yet I shattered your security. I'm glad you came to your senses and paid me what you owe the big boss because now he is happy... and now you are insured for the meantime." He remarked before placing the mug upon the table and using his left hand to cover the blinding yellow light. "I do this not for my own protection, but to keep the flow of fear and despair alive and so that the community never forgets. Big boss is but a small fish in a very large and yellow pond.. Now if you excuse me, I have to take this." The nonchalant young man stood up before bowing and placing a few bucks from his coat pocket upon the table and stepping over a slumped man to exit the small diner. Jax raised his ring in the air before the illuminating light began to ooze down his very form. The collar upon his jacket sprung to life in a bright yellow, the darkness in his shirt gave way to a more golden hue, as did his weighted wrist bands. "Time to head out I believe and find this mysterious lantern." Jax muttered before running his finger through the ebony locks that graced his head, moving the strays from his forehead before his knees slightly bent and he was off into the skies. It seemed as if a golden light bursted from the ground, rocketing into the atmosphere in search of the foreign ring and its owner.
