Has anyone ever had a WIP be a WIP so long that you forgot what it was supposed to be?

Ha ha. Not at you, but this would make a great QOTW. smile

I can usually recognise what stuff was supposed to be - figuring out what hook I was using or where I found the pattern is the problem.

I've lost pieces of a project altogether - which is just weird. >.<'

ohh boy. I hadn't even thought about the issue of which hook.
I started something, but then I decided I wanted to make something for someone (I am pretty sure it was my year long project of the beanie) so I put it away.
And now I can't remember what it was supposed to be.

I haven't done that, but I've put away a blanket before (for years) and then when I got back to it I didn't recognize it as my work. cat_rofl I didn't even remember the pattern. cat_rolleyes

I hope it works out for you KittySong. And Dana's right. I'm going to add that to the QOTW list of questions.
