What was the best fan fiction you WROTE this year? The best fanfic I wrote in the past year still needs a title and some very minor editing (it's as of yet still unposted). I wrote it in August. It's the longest one-shot I've ever written and is an awesome introduction to a longer story that I'm working on. It's a one-shot since it's from a different character's pov than the longer story will be. One of my beta readers read it and had the reaction to it that I was hoping for. The twist is a little bigger than expected. I think it makes a good impact and I'm hoping that others really enjoy it when I do get to posting it (which won't be until I'm ready to start posting the longer fic).
What was the best fan fiction you READ this year? The best fanfic I read in the past year… oh, such a tough choice, but I'm going to go with what I said in a different thread and choose
Nexus by
HappyLeif. It was posted in the past year (as opposed to stories that were updated in the past year, but had their first chapter or more posted in a previous year). And, while it is still ongoing, the writing level is excellent, the mystery and ******** (psychological/abstract aspect to it) is fantastically written, and the suspense is tantalizing. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Heh, not to mention that it's the best characterization (most in-character compared to canon) of Clockwork (character from Danny Phantom) that I've ever read in a fanfic. He's a tough character to get right, and HappyLeif gets him right!
What was the BEST review you got all year? / What was the WORST review you got all year?I only got one review in 2015 and it was positive as well as constructive. Considering the story that got reviewed was something I wrote and posted in 2005, I'm happy with the review!

Aw! Even though they didn't admit their feelings to each other (and that made it all the better), it was really good! The concept was a really good idea, I didn't expect it to be anything like that. Maybe a little short, and you lack thought/dialogue marks. But overall, great!
How many fics did you write?I haven't posted any fanfics this past year, but I worked on a lot of them. I keep a writing log, so looking at that… I got 40 chapters completed for 17 fanfics (6 one-shots, 4 chaptered fics, 7 one-shot collections), and I'm in the middle of 28 chapters for 20 fanfics (6 one-shots, 8 chaptered fics, 6 one-shot collections) (I mean "in the middle" as in, the chapter was partially written in 2015, but not yet complete). I worked on planning for 55 fanfics (in 2015) out of the 85 or so total that I intend to complete. After I do finish them, I'm actually quite hoping to be done with fanfic! I've also dropped a number of ideas. (and if these numbers seem crazy, I do focus mostly on one-shots, and I've already posted over 40 fanfics, where only a handful are actually more than one chapter - but I'm pushing myself now to write a lot more chaptered fics).
How many fandoms did you write for?Hmm, I've got a lot of things planned for various fandoms (I did a ton of planning in the past year). I completed chapters for 2 fandoms. I wrote partial chapters for 5 fandoms. I've got stories planned for 13 fandoms total (possibly another 5 or so, but I may drop those ideas).
How many authors did you favorite?I didn't fave any authors this past year, but I have a list. When I start to post again, I will fave those authors on that list, and add stories to my faves and to my communities. Right now I'm kind of hiding in the shadows. I'm setting it up so that I'm in a position where I can respond to people if/when they pm me, and also so that there is fresh stuff on my profile if/when people decide to take a look at me (which will be more likely to happen when I'm faving them and their stuff and being more active in general than right now when I'm not). The plan is to: write the stories first, set up a posting schedule, start to post and fave people/stories on my list, etc.
The first story I posted was in 2004. The most recent story I posted was in 2013. I didn't post anything in 2010-2012 and 2014-2015, so it'll be fine if I hold off a little longer (2013 proved to me that I still have fans and people liking my stories, and I haven't gone a year without getting a review or fave or what have you). And if one of my beta partners is anything to go by, a story she hasn't updated since 2005 is still getting people following it, and she is actually working on it (but it's going through a major re-edit overhaul before she finally finishes it). She has mentioned on her profile that she's still working on it.
How many people favorited you?1 person faved and followed me in 2015, and 4 others also started to follow me.
I got 1 review, 25 faves for various stories, 7 follows for various stories (which is funny, since they're all completed), and stories of mine added to 6 communities in 2015. Not bad for an inactive posting year!
