Personally myself, I'm not involved in a lot of them, but the ones that I a part of, I figure I would leave you some links so you can explore them on your own:
1. Free Furry Art
---Just as the title says, if you have a ref pic of your Fursona and want art of them , you can request it here. Also, you can do Art Trades or do free art for other people if you need test subjects :3
2. Furry and Loving it
---This is a "safe" group and by that I mean it is PG-13 ONLY. No yiffing, nothing sexual-themed...just furries talking to other furries about safe, fury-related content. Discussions include artwork, new species people have developed, videos, fursuiting, and etc.
3. Free Furry Art 18+
---For those that like NSFW art and what-not,here is a free furry art group for that. It's not so active but there are a few people here and there that do show off their work. Requests and trades can also be made here. So it might be worth a shot for you.
4.Official Angel Dragon Community
---As the title says, this is for Angel Dragons and Dutch Angel Dragons only (as well as sub-species like the Tunnel Claw Angel Dragons). You can request someone help you make an Angel Dragon, view artwork and/or just chat with others in the community. This is "safe" place as Angel Dragons do not breed, do not really have genitalia...so everything is PG-13 at most here.

There are a lot of others out there, I just really don't want to fuss with them all and have them clogging up my newsfeed. I hope this helped some of you that were curious about Furry groups. There are some really good ones out there and they are not all sexualized, so go ahead and check them out. Just, if you do join them, just make sure you follow whatever rules they have in place.
