Appearance: The first thing one might notice about Aisling is that she is absolutely covered in freckles from head to toe. This is no light dusting, either. Her dark freckles are set against warm tanned skin. Her hair is a shocking shade of ginger red, her bangs a mess that require constant pushing out of her vibrant green eyes to be able to see. As for the rest of it? Just as messy. It sticks up on all sides, as if an explosion's just gone off.
Her nose is small and pointed, slightly upturned. Her cheekbones are high, and her eyes constantly full of mischief. Aisling has an exceptionally thin, bony frame. She may eat her weight in food on a daily basis, but her high level of activity keeps her from ever putting on a pound.
Aisling favors baggy clothes with draping fabrics. She's at an age where she feels her scrawny, awkward body should be hidden, so her choices of clothing often conceal her body type to an extent. She loves colors of all varieties, so her clothes are often bright and vibrant, with colorful patterns. Tie dye is a favorite! She also will commonly wear jewelry made out of things she's collected from the woods around her home. Feathers, stones (her mother helps her drill holes into them), bottle caps, or shells from the lake.

Personality: Aisling has more energy than she or anyone else knows what to do with. For as long as she's been walking, she's been running. And jumping, and climbing, and doing anything she could possibly do with all of that energy. Most of that energy she's spent outdoors, and will spend every waking hour outside exploring if she can, until the sun goes down and her mother's calls bring her running back home with Moose at her tail.
But where she was given too much energy, Aisling wasn't given enough of an attention span. Her focus can't be kept for more than a minute or so, and even that can be a blessing at times. Her mind jumps from one thing to another no matter how hard she tries to keep it steady. Being home schooled helps, but even so she still finds her studies difficult because of it, no matter how much she loves to learn.

History:
Aisling was born first, she's sure of it. Not that their parents ever told them, or if they did the story was changed so often with a teasing smile that neither twin ever knew who was the "oldest". Aisling and Aednat, identical twin sisters, born to _____ Brogan and _____ _____. (Mom) knew from the start that the girls would be just like her -- psychic.
(Dad) was aware of his wife's...gifts. He tried, at first, to consider them as such. He didn't agree with any of it, but where was really the harm in anything she was doing? She spent her days singing to plants that grew visibly faster than they should, and sometimes earned a bit of extra cash doing readings for others. She was a kind and gentle individual, and he loved her dearly.
He tried broaching the topic with his own parents, casually mentioning the existence of psychics. Their reaction was less than kind, and he was reminded of all the things he'd been brought up to believe. They were nothing more than heathens. Why was he even bringing this up? Did it have something to do with that wife of his? The seeds were planted in his mind and things began to slide downward from there.
When the twins were born, a rock settled in (dad)'s stomach. He knew as well as (mom) did that they would likely be the same. By the time they were three (mom) was already trying to coax them into showing some sort of gift. (Dad) tried at first in more casual ways to convince her to stop. They're so little, why not wait? But when she didn't stop, he grew angry.
They kept the fighting behind closed doors. Aisling remembered very little of it. Raised voices, but nothing more. It would be many years later before she learned what was said between them. (Mom)'s psychic powers were rooted in something much deeper. It was her upbringing. It was what she believed in. Why would her husband try and rob her of that? But he had his own beliefs, and he couldn't continue to live in a house that insisted on pushing this.
Aisling and Aednat were four when (dad) left. Crushed by the abandonment of her husband and determined to shield her daughters from further rejection, still certain they would one day be the same, she schooled them from home. The three of them became as close as could possibly be. (Mom) continued to
