About Me
Favorite Color: Silver/White
Weapon of Choice: Lock Blanc
Basically looks like a cross between a jousting lance and a rapier. About 11 ft. long, the main handle is about 1/3d of the way up the weapon. There’s one high caliber gun built into the lower part of the weapon. 4 gun barrels are built into the conical guard which can be rotated to switch the firing barrel, each fitted to give the rounds different dust effects. Rounds are stored in a large, fixed revolver cylinder just above the hilt. Holds 8 shots, she must manually reload every single round through a loading gate. The firing mechanism itself is built into the basket handguard. Rounds are powerful but the gun is slow firing and quickly loses accuracy around medium range, can’t hit squat past 40m probably. Medium-heavy damage to small grimm on direct hits. There is a small explosion for a single round with minor dust effects, damage, and knockback, probably ≤ 1 meter radius.
The tip can have the currently chosen barrel’s dust type channeled to it for nasty tipper strikes (dust effect is applied ONLY on a tipper swing). The tip also doubles as a launch able, high velocity explosive warhead, the explosion type also depends on the type of dust channeled into it at the time. Unlike the guns, this warhead is deadly accurate, effective range is probably 500m. Explosion radius in about 7m does critical/heavy damage to any enemies in that area + dust effect. 5 meters out from that would do medium damage, moderate dust effect, etc. The weapon has to cool/vent for a while after firing the warhead and reloading can take a bit too (1-2 posts?). During this period, metal plating on the weapon flares out to expose cooling vents in some areas, it's weight is off balance, and without a tip the weapon has no main striking point. It's effectively useless until it's cooled and reloaded again. Lancell typically carries 2 reloads at most.
The back end of the weapon has a secondary striking point, useful if gun boosting forward with the main tip pointed backwards, but this part of the weapon is mainly a counterweight and venting port. Lock Blanc can ‘sheath’ by twisting off and compressing the handle/bottom half, then narrowing the rest of its length and collapsing into and around the bullet cylinder to make a thick, chunky circle of metal, which she attaches to a magnetic plate on the small of her back.
Lock Blanc is a very heavy weapon, so even with Lancell's above average physical strength, it's slow. This can be partially offset by her powers, but not completely. In return, any hard blows with Lock Blanc do a lot of damage. A strength enhanced tipper strike swing will probably incapacitate and do heavy damage to small grimm, though a strike like that would take a bit of time to execute. Lock Blanc also has a constantly HUGE melee range presence, good for keeping enemies at a comfortable distance. The huge recoil from the gun can give her some good boost mobility, however the gun is slow firing so it's limited in use compared to chars like Yang or Ruby. She also tends to have problems dealing with strong ranged enemies since she has no consistently accurate way to return fire. Lancell's armor is also notably more beefy than most hunters, she can take a few good hits more because of it in exchange for some mobility/speed. In a case where she needs to take it off (eg, fighting someone with an electricity semblance), the straps can be undone in 4 steps fairly quickly.
Auras/ Semblances:
Hero's Might (Super Strength)
She's able to increase her strength for the upper and lower body generally. Upper increases melee damage and speed. Lower body gives her a higher vertical jump or a hard forward sprint. Can also be used more specifically in any situation when needed. The power's level CANNOT be passively turned on continuously and finely adjusted, instead it roughly has 2 states of power which can be hard switched on and off, mostly for bursts. She CAN keep either state on continuously, but this drains her aura incredibly fast. Generally: Level 1 = STR x 1.5, Level 2 = STR x 2, level 2 drains twice as fast as level 1. This is a sub power of Berserk (the strength aspect of it). If she uses the strength enhancement to the point where she drains to red she starts slipping to Berserk mode, visual effects and all, until she stops fighting and rests a little bit.
Berserk
Equivalent of being in a drug induced battle rage. She get's stronger, faster, can take more damage, etc. etc, at the cost of a good chunk of her sanity for the duration. She never learned to control this, so there's only really the 'full speed ahead' option for her. It would ideally last until all enemies are defeated. If not, probably about 4-5 posts maybe? I don’t know what general factor to increase her combat prowess by, maybe x3? The semblance also has the inexplicable effect of giving her some creepy dark shadowy outlines, wide glowy bloodshot eyes, occasional maniacal laughter and growling/shouting. Lovely. (Basically, think of the Fate/Zero Berserker version of Lancelot). She would probably be sane enough not to attack allies on sight as long as they hang back far enough.
Downsides, she’ll be unconscious/recovering for a day at least after she does this, meaning she'll definitely be out of the battle (if it's still going) after the semblance duration is over. If she got beat down or took a bunch of hits, she’d be out longer, maximum 3 days. She also personally HAAAAAATES this ability and wishes that she had another semblance. So it's kept secret and she only uses it as a last resort in a desperate situation. Like REALLY last resort. If she could win in a spar with this semblance, she wouldn’t use it.

Bio
Lancell was brought up living in a foresty part of Mistrel in a mansion, she had her scar carved there at birth. Never saw anyone but her family, and she had no siblings or other children her age around. They brought her up saying she was destined for greatness as a hero, and the mark on her face would be her symbol. Of course, to prepare her they trained the s**t out of her. I mean, it was pretty grueling, but they weren't horrid neglecting parents, they did love Lancell and cared for her. In their own, special way... anyways, thanks to them, she was a kick a** fighter by 12, and got basic schematics for Lock Blanc from her grandfather. Finally gonna be the hero yeah! Then... a month later her family was incarcerated, branded as cultists. Lancell’s never seen or heard from them since, and social service quickly plonked her in a low tier Hunter academy after ability assessment. After all that s**t, transition probably felt like walking facefirst into a field of cactus's that were on fire. She got moved around a couple schools, eventually ending up in the Atlas hunter school system.
When she was 17, in her first year at Atlas Academy, Lancell worked her way out of her slump, and decided to make a name for herself by claiming she was a great hero. Just, complete personality overhaul into maximum over the top "BEHOLD! THE HERO HAS ARRIVED! AHAHAHAHAA!!!" mode. Easily could've ended up being a laughingstock if she didn't promptly start going toe to toe with some of the strongest trainees in the academy with Lock Blanc. Hero training paid off I guess? That kind of behavior got her pulled from school (again) by social services, suspecting a mental breakdown. They couldn't find it, but even so, she was told she couldn’t return to Atlas Academy indefinitely. Lancell decided to enter Beacon academy as a transfer student when they offered to take her in. Whatever, she’s the goddamn hero of her story. "AHAHAHAHAA!!!"
Favorite Fairy Tale: She's kinda based of Lancelot.
