So with the passing of Samhain and the end of the harvest comes the cold winter, and the battle of the Holly King and the Oak King for the rebirth of the sun. Do you have plans for the Winter Solstice (or Summer Solstice)? We have our usual Christmas celebration, but I don't know if we'll do anything special for Yule.

Time to ramp up the gift making. I have four ounces of wool to spin for a gift, and another ounce to ply with thread, and I'm running out of time. Eek!
Also, they can't be birthday presents because both the recipients have birthdays early January. Hope I get them done in time! *chews nails*

I haven't even thought about presents...my thesis is due on the 1st of December and that's all I really care about right now.

I love getting letters in the mail, and I'm talking real letters. I have a couple of family members who still send them to me and it's the highlight of my festive season. To have someone sit down for an hour or so and pen a long letter once a year is seriously the best gift I could ever ask for. It's one of the reasons I love writing letters too. whee

Making some dresses for my daughter for giftmas. If I have time I'm gonna make fingerless gloves for my mom and sister, too, though those might be for next year, along with other things planned,

I'm also thinking of printing up a boatload of her baby pics and arranging a nice album for my gramma. She is the one who is mostly taking care of her still (post partum depression/psychosis doesn't ******** around) and she is sad she doesn't have a lot of pictures of her on her own camera. So I thought that would be a nice gift.

Well, now that my thesis is finished I can spend a little more time actually getting my Xmas gifts in order. Or letters rather...because I can't be bothered buying gifts. I'd much rather hand write a bunch of letters.
