--------
How long has it been since she has been on this strange planet called Earth? The woman with long blonde hair and oddly orange colored skin could not recall. Her concept of time was pretty lacking, or maybe she just didn't care enough to bother with such and trivial concept? Having no knowledge of Earths geography the woman also had no clue as to where she was. She just felt fortunate that she did not have to kiss anyone to figure out what they were saying, although their accent was different from where she had been before.
Many things have happened to this Tamaranean, leading her to be sitting at a random poor, staring at various shots of vodka wishing she could drown her thoughts in alcohol like humans seemed to so easily manage. However, her alien body just had to come off resistant to the stuff. Nothing occurred to her dismay, her mind still as clear as ever, if not more. It seemed the more she tried to think of absolutely nothing, the more her brain forced her to recollect every little detail.
Amar'e had no one to go to, no one she really belonged, even if she were to go to where other Tamaranean's were she doubted she would fit in. The life she had lived was not one she was proud of, not one she wanted the others of her race to know, although they were a race that prided themselves in their warrior skills. Being sold, treated and used the way she was like nothing more than a doll for others entertainment angered her in a way she could never forgive. Despite being far away from the forsaken place, the anger still burned inside her, controlling her reaction to everything regardless of no one around her meaning her harm like they did. Amar'e just couldn't bring herself to drop her guard and trust anyone. Well, she could she just didn't want to. She had tried here on this planet once. The woman had been offered a means of making a life for herself here, but that was nothing more than a far off dream. The man had seemed to vanish taking whatever "job" he was willing to give her with him. Once more, Amar'e found herself to be nothing more than lost, a being with no purpose.
All her time on Earth had been spent doing the only thing she knew how, fighting, be it with her fists or through her words. Amar'e had done nothing more than shut down anyone that approached her, especially a certain male in a red suit. She would still used to her defense that he was the one that started it with his comments. Let us just say, this Tamaranean didn't really understand the concept of teasing another, or "throwing shade". She took everything seriously and too the extreme. Half the words that ever left her mouth never meant more than air, yet she still spoke them. She acted before thinking.
With all this talk about hero's from the former superman and the Flash, she had actually begun to perhaps consider such a thing. It seemed ridiculous, but what else would her fighting skills be good for? Actually, she was just wanting to feel that she could do more than shed blood needlessly. Was she seeking repentance? If so than for what? Nothing she did during those gladiator days were through her own will, she was force... wasn't she? The ones who died by her hands... if she hadn't done it, she too would have been killed. Deep down, the thing that ate away at her poor soul, was the knowledge, the concept of good and bad, that she indeed had a choice, had a choice not to do as the others pleased, even if it meant her death. Amar'e was nothing more than a selfish being, concerning herself with no one else's safety other than her own.
She was no hero.
Leawood was no more, it had been destroyed. The Tamaranena female visited it after the occurrence, the memory haunting her until this very day. She didn't need to see the news or to be told what had transpired to know the culprit. Amar'e recognized the markings from one she had fought previously, refusing any outsider help. The male had vanished, disappeared. For a moment, Amar'e had allowed herself to feel a false since of accomplishment, of meaning, that she had actually protected something (although it was more so done out of pride due to the words he had spoken towards her). She assumed he was no more of a threat as he was gone, she thought wrong. Amar'e had done nothing but cause Leawood's doom, its transformation into Torchwood. No longer could she face any hero, especially not him. Oh, how she had left that city before he could ever known she had been there again. Amar'e wanted nothing more to forget, nothing more than to bury the thought it was her fault, it was her pride, her stubborness that lead to anothers suffering. All she ever did was care about herself, fighting him had never been a matter of protecting Central City, it had been about protecting her own damn pride. The one thing, she swore no one would ever take from her. The one thing, she constantly had to prove to herself she still had.... something, she no longer was sure what it meant anymore....
Her head feel onto her arm which was laying on the table. Her eyes staring blankly into the glass in front of her, filled with that clear burning liquid. She didn't touch it, she didn't even notice it was in front of her. Her mind was baring down on her hard. She had nothing to give Earth, and it surely had nothing to give her either. It was best if she left. It was best she took "their" offer. 5 days ago, she had received an undesired visit from alien bounty hunters. They were there to take her back to her "prison". It was a consequence of being such a prized gladiator. What came as a shock, was neither of the two hunters in front of her engaged her, instead they put up and offer, leave with them in a week and no one would be harmed. Refuse, and Earth would suffer until she did. She had at first debated just killing them then and there to put it to an end, but them, knowing she would consider such an option made it quite clear they were not alone. They were numbered in a way she could never take them on all on her own.
Amar'e didn't want to go back.... she didn't want that life anymore. She also didn't want to stay here. She could leave. The blond woman slowly sat up in her sit. Yes, she could leave without the bounty hunters knowing. So what if Earth and humans were harmed in the process? What were they to her anyways?
