Ｉ ＤＥＭＡＮＤ. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ As the blond man who'd been sitting at the table stood and approached, Vince eyed him suspiciously, but only a moment later, a sensation of calmness seemed to wash over him, pushing out the nervousness and fear he felt. For a moment, Vince allowed himself to enjoy it. To feel this level of calm around a bunch of strangers was surprisingly nice. He was so used to the way things were, but was this not better? Was it not better to be able to relax around new people? How else did one make friends, after all? Was this not the better way, as a hero, to be able to make friends and have backup if he should ever need it?
As these thoughts came to him, another one rose in the back of his mind, telling him this wasn't how it was supposed to be. He didn't trust people this easily, he was never this calm and relaxed around new people. Something was wrong, but he didn't know what it was. What was going on? Was someone using magic on him, making him feel calm when he shouldn't be? Despite the suspicion about the situation, he couldn't force himself to feel anything but calm. Whatever was going on, he no longer seemed in control of his own emotions.
As much as he tried to, he couldn't be suspicious for long. Perhaps he could use this moment to prevent them from thinking him an enemy, at the very least. Flash had mentioned Professor Zoom, and while Vince didn't know who that was, he could honestly answer that he wasn't this Zoom guy. "Kid Flash," he said. Surely they would know the name. The city had had another Kid Flash before, even if Vince had never met him. Hopefully it would be enough for them to stop chasing after him. He wasn't a threat, he just wanted to be left alone.
