Notes: Blackguards are in most human lore, those villains and rogues that strike fear into the heart of hero and reader alike. They are usually aggressive, armor wearing, weapon wielding magic users that work with demons and devils and other unsavory spirits. They might have been a hero who fell from grace, or they might have just been evil to begin with - but one core tenant remains - they tend to work with or for demons or devils, or at the very least curry their favor. They seek them out to gain the one thing they desire - power. As such, Blackguards tend to favor demonic type magics and demonic familiars. Blackguards without familiars tend toward bladed weapons, usually inscribed with demonic runes. Lars comes from a line of for-hire muscle, as such, he has learned what magic he can from his family line to assist in the regard. They prefer to work with demons and the like, but if the pay is good they'll do about any job that comes their way.

Natural Ability: Commune with Demons - Once per day, Lars can learn the contact information of a demon who might receptive to offering up a contract for work or another boon. He does not know the name of this demon, only how to go about contacting them. As such, they might not actually be as receptive to giving him work or doing him a favor, but he has their contact information all the same.
Personality:

[+] Dedicated – Lars likes to see things through. He grew up learning you must finish what you started. Whenever he begins a project or an assignment you can expect him to see it through – pouring in however much effort is required in order for him complete it. He can get quite upset if he’s unable to complete a task, especially if the lack of completion is the result of his own actions.

[+/-] Strategic – Lars views the world from the strategy table. He views situations as conflicts that must be resolved in order to move forward. This helps him remain organized and able to focus on tasks and complete them, but it also colors his view of the world. Everything is a conflict – every encounter is a win/lose situation. People are markers to be moved around on the battlefield of life – and it’s up to him to come up with the tactics and strategies to see himself – and his friends – through with the greatest advantage. Even if it means not doing the right thing.

[+] Supportive – Lars will stand behind his friends and those he finds important in his “strategy of life.” He will have their backs when they need help – or when they don’t. He wants his friends and “allies” to be prepared and ready for whatever might come their way – so he’s not above supplying them with things they need if he is able – even if they really don’t need it.

[-] Aggressive – Lars is not one to let things stand in his way, though he’s more the kind to go through obstacles than over or around. He is not above resorting to violence if he thinks it’s required – be it in an argument, or to prove his worth. As a reaper, he’s always been looked down upon by other creatures – and he has become pretty aggressive because of it. This aggression can be channeled toward beneficial means if he has the time to plan it out – but he can easily fly off the handle and lash out if he’s poked and prodded enough.

[-] Rough – Lars never really got a lesson in manners. He’s spent the majority of life doing what he’s needed to do when he’s needed to do – without ever having to apologize for it. He can get pretty rough with his affections with friends – who might see his actions as bullying or even harassment if they don’t know him well. He’s not one to hold back his thoughts or his words, so he can have a hard time making friends to be affectionate with in the first place.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?

Lars is attending Amityville because his father has decided that he needs to be around creatures his own age. Lars has been living with his father ever since his mother left. His father felt it was time for his son to settle down for a while instead of moving from place to place as he looks for work. He is hoping that the time at Amityville will help Lars mellow out and maybe start being more civilized with others, instead of the rough, aggressive boil he is now.

FEAR Ability: Y1 - Weakening Smite (The Bite) – Lars pours his fear into his Rune Axe, imbuing it with a weakening curse to smite his opponent.

Nat ability > This seems pretty cool, except maybe just a tiny bit OP - I know you said it disappears when he falls asleep, but how strong is this servant? How long can they stay there if he never sleeps? Remember, at Y1, students tend to be pretty wimpy, so just a bit of clarification is needed!
