Hello all!~ What do you guys think of having a contest huh? It's been quite awhile since our last one, and we've got some pretty talented people in this guild so why not show it off?
SO! The contest will be to create a dream you've had recently in a visual format. You could draw it, make a video, paint it, photographs, etc. Really anything goes as long as it visually conveys the dream.
The criteria I will judge your entries by:
1) Is it interesting? Sometimes our dreams will be boring, and that's not your fault. But try to make it visually interesting to look at. Or maybe you've had a craaazy dream. You can totally go with that, and even make it into something abstract that no one understands but you.
2) Is it skillfully rendered? If your piece looks like you threw it together in 10 seconds it will show. It doesn't have to be a detailed masterpiece by any means. This is just Gaia after all. But the more thought you put into it the better it will look, and the more likely you will win.
3) Keep it PG 13. Okay, I know some of us will have a more...graphic dream from time to time (*raises hand guiltily*) Just try not to make something pornographic since Gaia is friendly to all ages, and I know in this guild there are a few people who are younger. (Not many, but we don't want to scar them forever)
Post your entries here, I also allow multiple entries if you are feeling particularly creative. No more than 3 though, but that's usually not an issue.
Oh! Gosh I almost forgot the deadline...how about in 3 weeks? Friday 21st will be when the contest is over, so be sure to post your entries by then!!
Now here is an example if people need a little help getting started with ideas. I painted this jellyfish after a dream I had where I was basically a mermaid, and I was exploring the depths of the ocean. I found Jellyfish fields (like in spongebob) except it looked really fiery and volcanic? I remember having to dodge the mini volcanoes that were erupting underneath the ocean floor.

I had this dream few weeks ago... I was at my old home. I was tired, but there isn't a free room for me; so my mother told me to go to sleep to the old castle (of course it was raining outside -.-'). I took my little pink blanket and went out. However, outside there were a lot of kind of monsters, like the robot (a super normal, old-fashioned robot) and the bat (Yeah...it's a kind of Zubat.....). I and my little sister (who had reached me, because she loves me heart ) had to defeat them. Each monster the robot gave something like exp or dropped object (I confess....I'm a kind of gamer); we had to defeat all of them and then defeat also the final boss, the dragon (it was quite fat ...) of the castle (the tower it was a lot like Merlino's tower in Disney The Sword in the Stone lol). On our balcony there was a black figure who was helping us to defeat monsters by trowing them bulbs. I don't know the meaning of the little purple van :-S I've used a different style, because the whole dream was like a video-game/cartoon.....  OMG....I've wasted 2h to make this shitty draw -.-' I'll put more effort in the next entry (-v-') 7

Zangrien I had this dream few weeks ago... I was at my old home. TwistedxJuggalo GailQueenOfFire neutral Dreams are weird. That's Pyro. He's from a game I play. He was being a lumberjack and Amethyst kept trying to get him to fuse with her and he kept telling her "I have to chop all this wood! I can't!!"

i guess im late but imma put it here anyway.. emotion_yatta i want to make it look much more better but i guess im out of time.lol. I was really bothered by this dream for a quite a long time now..and it still bother me now.  since, I'm not a fan of sci-fi I don't know where my head gets this idea..and it was soooo surreal. I was floating in a vast purple bluish sky in a vehicle that resembles a boat..and I was with a bunch of few people..there where floating majestic lands with all sorts of trees..waterfalls here and there..its probably the most beautiful sight I have ever witness even in real life.. the grass sparkle like as if its overflowing with life energies.. I even saw the old house I often visit in my dreams...its felt really really weird..like all my dreams got all connected somehow.. that small concrete house with a red roof and a vast open front yard where I always hang out with other kids I can't remember. While floating on air, we did travel for quite a while like for about 5 min or so, and I was dropped off at this barren rocky mountain. However, there's a some sort of rail way made of wood and metal attached to the mountain..again, hanging on the air.. I see people walking by and floating vehicles of all sort..it was a pretty busy place..and there's a shuttle train moving towards the end of the mountain.. and what makes it even more weirder, is the houses located just above the railway, I tried drawing it but it was really hard. lol. The houses was all painted white and it looks like the one found in Greece..I can't remember most detail soo im gonna end the story here.

yeah...feels like this would fit here..lol. I made drawing months ago.. i guess i don't have words to explain the details.. but dream does gets hell of a dream if its a dream within a dream.. dreamfantastic yeah!
