Name: Sylvaine Beauchene
Alias: Sylvi
Age: 57 (appears to be in her late teens)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Centaur
Personality: Sylvi is, to put it simply, not all there. Airy, clumsy and naive, she has a tendency to land herself in troublesome situations, often without even realizing it. Some of these situations she simply wanders into, and others, she helped set up. Pranks are a bit of a hobby, as long as nobody gets hurt. Unfortunately for her, she has a bad habit of forgetting the ones she set up, and stumbling into them by accident, or being simply too curious for her own good. Her cheerful and lovable nature has lets her gain friends quickly, and become quite popular with those already close to her. Some, however, may get tired simply watching her. She can hardly sit still, and though she can be jumpy at times, her spatial awareness is vague at best. The one thing that can set her off from her normal bright nature, is fire, though she doesn't fully remember why.
Appearance:
Centaur Form (normal)

Human Form (rarely used)

Height: 5'2" (centaur); 5'5" (human)
Weight: 133lbs (centaur); 126lbs (human)
Eye Colour: pale pink, darker around the rims
Hair Colour: mint green
Distinguishable Markings: she has the bottom half of a green deer
Biography: Sylvaine had lived with her mother and younger brother, in the middle of a large forest outside a town much smaller than her wooded home. She was close to her brother, and most of their days were spent running around playing. They were rarely apart, never seperating when they were out unless it was part of one of their games.
Sylvi would often sleepwalk when she was a child, and though she didn't often make it out of their house, there were times when Emile or their mother would find her somewhere nearby. This would end up saving her one unfortunate, and quite traumatic night. Sleeping deeply, Sylvi got up and began to walk. She went out to a place she enjoyed during the day, and as she was wandering back a cracking and rumbling sound paired with a heavy scent in the air woke her up and snapped her out of the almost trance-like state. The home she had been in all her life was burning brightly, and there didn't seem to be any sign of her family outside. Frozen in fear and staring forward, she briefly saw movement by the front door. She saw the small shadow in front of the flames, but only for a second before the roof caved in at that spot. A combination of the heat, the smoke, and the simple shock caused her to faint.
The large amount of dark smoke rising from the woods was reason enough for some people from the nearby town to investigate, and when they finally made it to the center there wasn't much to see. The remains of the home, and the child on the ground partially covered in ash. When she came to, she could apparently only remember her own name, refused to turn around, and couldn't give much of an explanation as to why. The best thing they could do was take her back with them. After a bit of searching for anyone she knew. Nobody knew her, nobody knew if she had family, and in fact nobody had ever seen her before save a few who visited the woods often, and even then they had their doubts if they had in fact seen her before. Eventually it was decided she would go to the orphanage, and there was where she would stay.
For a long time she would hardly talk, staying away from the other children and sitting along in the garden for as long as she could. This lasted until a catty girl lost a fight against a baby skunk. The girl was ready to attack it back to get her revenge, but Sylvi snatched it away first. She calmed it down, putting herself between the rotten smelling girl and the tiny animal. Before she could get the girl to calm down, though, she would have to get the smell off. Luckily she knew exactly how. Mixing a few plants together with some water was all she needed, and before much time had passed all was well, though the little skunk still hid behind her back. The girl finally introduced herself as Y'vehna, and the two quickly became friends. Sylvi finally started being as bright as she had been before, and Veh started to drag her into trouble. Well, Sylvi dragged Veh out of trouble when she got into fights. The same continued with out much change until Veh left, disappearing entirely. Sylvi wasn't far behind, and when she left she began working in a flower shop in another area of town.
Another few years passed without incident, Sylvi was cheerful and friendly, though still nervous around flames. Attending the school was suggested by her boss at the time, who thought a change of scenery would be good, and someone there would surely be able to sort out Sylvi's memories of her early life.
Relations:
Ophélie - Pet skunk; often seen riding around on her back
Y'vehna - Best friend; partner in crime; gets Sylvie out of plenty of situations
Emile Beauchene - Brother; deceased
Ophelia Beauchene - Mother; deceased
Abilities: Being a Centaur, Sylvi has the usual ability lineup. She's fast, strong, has a high stamina, accelerated healing. She also has a way with nature, more specifically an affinity for plants (specifically flowers, though this may just be her preference), and the ability to communicate with most animals. She can change into a human though she strongly dislikes being on two feet.
Weapons: A sword made of plant material, as long as she is somewhere near living plants she can create it in her hand. It is relatively large, nearly as long as she is tall, and quite heavy, though she can swing it around with ease.
