When you walk through the door you find yourself inside a large, circular stone room, decorated to the nines with banners, floating lamps, crystal statues of various animals, and endless snacks. This is an ancient tower belonging to the Witch's Council that has been opened up and connected to the world of Gaia for this joyous occasion! Upon your entrance you're almost immediately greeted by two young and ecstatic witches, and their friends.
"Greetings! Salutations! Welcome!"
In the Supernatural Realm, magic users are lead by a council of three. The Crone, The Mother, and The Maiden, so that the opinions and wisdom from all ages can be heard. The Council was very happy to hear of the doors being opened again and eagerly agreed to the celebration of the realms being joined, especially as they just appointed their new Maiden. They openly embrace any new magic users from Gaia, and encourage absolutely everyone to learn from each other's different lifestyles and magic practices. It is the hope of everyone that under Willa and Mouse's guidance, everything will go smoothly, but magic can be tricky and accidents are known to happen. Be wary!

NEVER give your password out to anyone. A couple years back we had a problem where a popup would show up saying that you had 'timed out' and needed to enter your password to log back in. This is NOT a Gaia generated pop up, and is a hacker using Java pop ups to get access to your account. If this happens, I find it best to force close your browser and re-open it again, to avoid having to click on any part of the message. Then please report that post immediately!
Nicknamed Willa. Appointed as the new Maiden of the Witch's Counsel, she's entrusted with the responsibility of hosting this party, which she is very excited and humbled by. While certainly not new to magic, this is the first time she is being permitted to perform it while unsupervised. She's chipper and excitable, her emotions run quite high, so be careful not to get on her bad side. Her magic is tea-based; She can mix magic into tea leaves to have different effects when burned or steeped, essentially allowing her to create potions and incense out of tea.
About Cadenza of the Heart: I go by the nickname Denza and I have a lot of feelings about a lot of fictional characters. This my 4th or 5th AURB, and this my 2nd year being a Main Room Host. I roleplay on Gaia in my free time, as well as play video games, watch Netflix, and draw. I am going to university to study theatre, with the hope of becoming a designer for costumes/hair/make-up. If you have questions, I'll be happy to take them!

She is generally a grown up and intelligent lady who performs her role perfectly, but she is often subject to mood swings and her personality always reflects the age she is currently appearing. She often spends her time looking like a child as it is the closest to her true personality, but on official business, she will always look like a calm and collected 20 year old witch. Her age is unknown to most witches as she does not let people know about her past and because her age is always changing, noone can guess. Her abilities include being able to change age, though she always remains youthful, she will often change herself into a young child when pulling pranks or confusing people. Other than being able to fly on her broom, she is able to make objects float when her emotions are unstable. Though usually when she's calm, she will limit herself to one object.
About Mahou Shoujo Usako: I am a freelance graphics maker and webdesigner in my free time, I have had a presence on gaia for longer than I care to admit. I have been a follower of the ball for many years and like to bounce around the different rooms. I obsess with anime and even run a review site to review and share my love to you all

Although Ari has been training for years, she can't seem to use her abilities perfectly, as she can be forgetful and clumsy. She loves animals (duh) , usually having one by her side and she has an almost child-like personality. Her mentor is her older brother, who she adores, and she was quite upset he couldn't be at the ball. She can only do magic involving animals (animating animal statues, transforming things/people into animals), but she can mess up every once in a while, as she is still in training.
About Araceli_Angel: Heyo! I'm Celi, a total bookworm and theatre geek, and I love it. I'm still in high school (currently on break) and am an active thespian. Along with that I draw, play violin, and play on my 3DS a lot. I don't have a set plan of what I will do for college and such, but I aspire to be an actor. If that doesn't happen, I'm thinking of being and architect and interior designer. That's pretty much it, but as a fun fact; my height is 5'10"

Claudius comes from a prestigious line of witches and wizards, including many famous witches who served on the Witch's Counsel. His skill as a dark wizard is widely known and feared, and it has been several years since he's last shown his face in public. Claudius' family don't mention him much, he's very much the family black sheep, and it has been quite a while since he was last invited to any sort of important even. Receiving an official invitation to the Annual Ball has him elated, though it may be hard to tell. Curses are the only thing he's ever been good at. His attempts at white magic always backfire on him. Over the years, he's found that he has a bit more luck with newer spells, especially ones he's created himself.
About Backstroke For Days: Yo, you can call me CBK. I've been on Gaia for a number of years {almost ten, omg}, and started getting back into the roleplay scene this past November, though I've been roleplaying for much longer. I'm an anthropology major entering {hopefully} my last year in college. I like sports anime, sharks, and bad Scifi movies. This will be my first year participating in the ball, but I look forward to chatting with everyone~
