Welcome, young trainer! Welcome to the wonderful world of Pokémon! This world is inhabited by creatures called Pokémon! For some people, Pokémon are pets. Other use them for fights. There are many kinds of Pokemon in this world, all having their own strengths and weaknesses. Each Pokemon has their own personality and individuality, just like people. There are a lot of people in this world as well. There are trainers, Pokefanatics, idols, Breeders, even just every day people. Everyone has a story and everyone has their own path to pave way for their own future. No two paths are the exact same. Each person has their own journey to follow.
You, dear trainer, are in the region of Kalos. This is a region chock full of all kinds of Pokemon. Every route holds new surprises and new kinds of Pokemon to find! With every new route and each new Pokemon you encounter, you're likely to meet other trainers. With each trainer you meet, you continue to grow and learn more about the world as we know it. So tell me dear trainer, where are you beginning your journey from? Are you starting at Laverre City? Dendemille Town? Lumiose City? Geosenge Town? What town do you call your home, trainer?
Well, would you look at that! Your very own Pokémon legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams and adventures with Pokémon awaits! Let's go!
1. No Godmodding. None. Zip. Zero. Everyone has their character, don't play someone else's character for them. Your character is also not all powerful. Neither are your Pokemon.
2. Please post at least 2-3 sentences a post. People need stuff to go off of in posts otherwise they won't have much to write in response. It's really hard for someone to respond to a single action.
3. We're just going to make this a rule in general, no owning Legendaries or special event Pokemon. It's really unlikely that your character would have one, so we're going to say that there is only one of each legendary/event Pokemon. This list includes pokemon such as Diancie, Meloetta, Genesect, Shaymin, Arceus, Manaphy, Phione, etc.
4. On that note, rare Pokemon are rare for a reason. We can't all have super duper rare Pokemon like Dragonites and Milotics. Please keep that in mind!
5. Keep swearing down to a decent level. Swearing is fine, just keep it in moderation.
6. In regards to breeding, in the games, most people use breeding as a method to get shinies in game. Since it's a little bit impratical to breed 10,000 eggs, let's just cut that all out. Now, if your character is a Pokemon Breeder, sure! I don't mind you breeding them. However, I'll just point out, a Pokemon Breeder isn't very likely to just have 20 eggs and just constantly churning them out. Think of it like breeding dogs or cats. You only breed and take care of maybe around 3-5 mostly from a litter at a time, raise the animals, adopt them out, then breed your next litter. So, we'll take it down that route.
7. People can turn you down for a battle if they so choose. In games, you can't turn down a battle, we know. But, it's a much nicer system here if you are able to turn down battles and allow people that chance.
8. It's perfectly acceptable to take on a second character if you choose. However, in order to take on another character, it's asked that you use both characters actively and only take on a second character if you can handle having a second character to play.

Once upon a time, Kankri and Cronus were cooking spaghetti. "I really d9 enj9y c99king," said Kankri as he poured 69 metric shittons of salt in to the pan of spaghetti. Cronus nodded. Suddenly, Cronus remembered that they had forgotten to buy tomato sauce at Publix. "Babe, I gotta go," Cronus urgently told Kankri. "The sauce." Kankri's eyes widened. They had forgotten the spaghetti sauce. H9ly s**t. Cronus, avoiding the advice of Professor Oak, pulled his bike out of his backpack and pedaled all the way to the local Publix while Kankri sat in the tiny little basket at the front of the bike. In the real post, this would be aligned in the center, but due to technical bugs, it cannot be displayed here.
Cronus gave a hum as he busied himself around his facility, a facility dedicated to the keeping and rehabilitation of abandoned Pokemon. He had began to dedicate his life to the care of Pokemon that were lost from their trainers or outright abandoned by their owners a few years ago. He'd settled down in Geosenge Town and made himself a home here, getting along quite well with the other residents. After he'd settled, he had set up a large facility and began the long laborious process of collecting supplies and making sure his facility was big enough to handle the amount of Pokemon he guessed would be coming in. After collecting how much he needed and bringing it up to a decent size, he had began to put out word and let word pass by ear and listen for stories of abandoned or abused Pokemon before going to collect them.
For now, he was more concerned about the various Pokemon wandering about his facility and playing together. He had a variety of Pokemon there, ranging in all kinds of types. All of them only had a home with him, so it was up to him to take care of the lot unless someone came along to give them a home. He moved around, greeting the various Pokemon running through the inside, as he worked on his chores for the day.
"Cronus, I'm so pleased that I could stop by at your residence for today in order to assist with the many endeavors of your work. I truly do appreciate the opportunity you are allowing me to experience, granting me the honor of working with Pokemon in such unfortunate circumstances."

Kankri Vantas perched at the edge of an arrange of scattered bowls on the hardwood floor of Cronus' facility, carefully pouring the contents of a hefty bag of dry pokemon food in to the empty dishes. In a gentle sweep of the hand, he brushed the fringe of his messy chestnut coiffure away from his face, expression relaxing as the sack progressively lightened.
That brief interlude of self-satisfaction was the interrupted by the quick scuffling of tiny paws against the ground as his Vulpix, an energetic kit, scurried to the open feast, pouncing at the plastic dishware. Kankri scooped him up in to a soft hold as he pressed the little fox Pokemon to his oversized red sweater, petting the curled tufts of hair adorning its head.
"My apologies, Vulpix," Kankri muttered to the warm kitsune, which was now pawing at his loose sleeve. "This food is meant to be distributed to the less fortunate Pokemon that reside here, if you do recall."
The vulpix responded with a little peep of "Pix!" and Kankri smiled.
"I believe that now would be the appropriate time to inquire Cronus as to if he requires further cooperation and support in regards to his facility. I promise you that lunch shall certainly be personally prepared for you soon, Vulpix."
With that, Kankri propped himself up and exited the room.
Cronus hummed as he shuffled through the facility. He moved around various Pokemon running through the facility. He was in the middle of greeting a small Mareep, petting the small sheep Pokemon on the head before a little Misdreavus appeared behind him, screeching loudly in his ear, making Cronus jump a bit in surprise. He rubbed his ear and sent an annoyed glance over his shoulder. "Was that necessary Loki?"
The little Misdreavus screeched again, almost sounding like a laugh. It flew around Cronus's head a few times before flying off through the facility. An Umbreon charged through the halls, chasing after the small Pokemon, chittering after it. Cronus heaved a soft sigh, shaking his head a little bit as the two ran through. Some things never changed.
Cronus moved back towards the feeding room, grinning a little bit at the sight of Kankri already there. He gave an idle wave, happy to see the other already there. His neighbor was a truly kind person, always willing to lend him a hand around the place and help keep it all running smoothly. He appreciated the help and always liked when the other was around. It gave him someone to talk to.
In the midst of his route to exiting the room, Kankri was surprised to see Cronus already at the doorway, sporting an amiable grin as they saw each other and exchanged small waves.
"Hey Kankri. You already got everyone fed?" the larger male asked, tilting his head slightly as he observed the array of scattered plastic bowls.
Kankri nodded with a light grin, the vulpix in his gentle hold sniffing at the familiar trainer.
"Of course. I had just put out fresh dry food, seeing as how the scheduled feeding time should be occurring in approximately five minutes or so. Pardon my questioning, but may I inquire as to if you need any further assistance for today? I am also rather curious regarding the status of your own Pokemon, but if you want to respond to that later, I completely understand. Rather, I am just concerned if there are any other tasks I could potentially help with."
It was a warm sunny day in the city of Lumiose, in the center of this grand city stood the Prism Tower, the cities greatest landmark. On top of this tower sat a young man by the name of Dave Strider. Dave was a chilled out cool kind of guy up to his daily dose of Irony, and what not. He sat at the top of the tower bobbin his head to his newest sick beats.
Dave: Good s**t, yo Krookodile check out these sick beats.
Dave said as he tossed a Pokeball into the air a light emerged from it an the sound of something materializing before him taking form. The ball landed into Dave's hands an shrunk back down to size an placed it back onto his belt. The oversized pokemon known as a Krookodile stood next to the young strider, an took a seat next to him.
Dave: Sup Krook.
Dave said as he fist bumbed his poke companion, as said he placed his headphones onto the Krookodile, and started to play some wicked new beats. Soon the pokemon was bobing his head and swaying said to said move with the groove of the beat. Dave: Another success right buddy!
Dave said with a grin on his face, the Krookodile roared in aggrement to his trainer.

- - - Roxy Lalonde - - - - - - team:
It had been a long while since Roxy had last step foot on the streets of her favorite city, which was also her hometown. Looking up at the buildings towering overhead she took a deep breath, inhaling the familiar scent of lattes and roses. Oh how she loved Lumiose.
Pulling as much air as she could into her lungs she soon yelled into the city air. "hellooooo lumiose!! rolalonde is hooooome~~!" This got her a good amount of distressed looks from nearby tourists.
After a quick run by the hair salon to get a trim, because darling, it'd been months since she'd last been to a respectable hairstylist and she wasn't going to let just anyone touch her hair, Roxy was heading towards her favorite building, smack dab in the middle of Lumiose.
Cronus gave the other another bright smile, gently brushing his fingers across the tufts of hair on the small vulpix's head and petting the little Pokemon. It was always with Kankri and he held affection for the cute little fox Pokemon. It was always so mild mannered and well behaved that it warmed his heart to be able to interact with such a sweet little Pokemon. He turned his gaze back to Kankri again as he gave a small shrug, looking around at the other Pokemon ambling around inside.
"I don't know, actually. I've got mostly everything taken care of chore wise.. Only thing left is to fill up all of the bowls of water I think and that takes care of most of the work for today. After that, it's just time to run them around in circles until they tire out."
He gave a small laugh waving around to the rest of the Pokemon. "I actually have no clue where most of them are. Loki's causing mayhem as always and screeching so loud he could deafen everyone in a mile radius. As Misdreavus do I suppose. Shade is chasing after him to make sure he stays out of trouble. Nott is likely out teaching the younger Pokemon how to fly properly. I haven't seen Hope or Eri today, no clue where they ran off to. And.. Well."
Cronus paused for a moment, rubbing the back of his head as his expression softened, gesturing to a sleeping Absol nestled underneath a table and away from all of the other Pokemon, keeping to herself and staying silent as she normally did. "Then there's Isis." He left out a slow, soft exhale, shaking his head a bit. "She's doing better than she was when she first back with me. She's still distrustful of a lot of people though. It's taken months and she still won't let anyone else besides me or any Pokemon near her that isn't smaller than her." He puffed out his cheek before giving another soft sigh.
It took a moment but Cronus eventually shook it off, and turned to look back at Kankri with another smile and a nod. "If you'd like to help me with the water bowls, then you're free to do as you like and play with the other Pokemon."

--- Dave Strider ---
It was almost noon, and Dave had spent spent most of his morning on top of Prism Tower, he was feeling a bit peckish and his Krookodile could say the same as its stomach growled.
Dave: Yeah me too, lets get somethin to eat.
Dave said, his Krookodile shaken its head in agreement. Dave got up from his spot, and his Krookodile followed after. The two reached the first floor of the tower, and walked out the front sliding glass doors.
Dave: So whatcha in the mood for, I was thinkin that new pl-
Dave stopped in mid-sentence, and noticed that his Krookodile had stood in place an began sniffing the air.
Dave: Hey whats up?
Dave asked before Krookodile could respond it ran off in another direction, Dave then gave chase following after.
Dave: H-Hey!! Where are you going the place is this way!
he shouted as he began chasing after his pokemon. After a minute of chasing after it, he lost sight of it, and stopped in his tracks. Turning his around trying to find sight of his friend.
Dave: Dude c'mon im hungry.
He said to himself, he turned his head to the right an saw his Krookodile holding someone an shaking them all around. He released a sigh and said
Dave: Oh god not again, do I need to get a leash and collar for you or somthin?
He said he moved his way towards his pokemon and the person. Dave wrapped his arms around the persons waist an began tugging hoping to losen the grip Krookodile had on them. Dave pulled once, twice an on the third try got them loose, both of them fell back, onto the ground Dave's shades falling of his face. He quickly got up an looked over to the person who was lying face first onto the ground.
Dave: Oh s**t, I am so-so sorry
He said as he gave his hand out noticing the person was a she. She turned around an both made eye contact. He knew the familiar face and was surprised.
As she approached the large tower she barely took notice of the stomping coming her direction. Glancing up just in time for her vision to be clouded by a certain red and black Pokemon. Feeling the arms of the creature wrap around her in a tight hug she couldn't help herself from laughing.
Soon feeling another pair of arms wrap around her waist and pull her body away from the beast, the two humans lost balance and fell to the ground. After the events that just occurred she was barely paying attention to anything other then making sure she wasn't in pain before she heard her name, glancing up at the male she was met by a familiar face. A grin soon spread across her face.
"my my my, well idnt it dove strudel, looks like youre friend here jus wanted to get up close n personal with lil ol me" Another laugh escaped her throat as she allowed Dave to help her to her feet, adjusting her clothing.

--- Dave Strider ---
Dave pulled Roxy up, and onto her feet, it's been awhile since he's seen her, last he could remember her was when he and Roxy's little sister Rose were kids, that's when Roxy left, and started her journey. Few years go by, and here she is all grown up, if Dave could guess he was probably a year or two younger than her.
Dave: its Dave Strider, Roxy not "dove strudle" or whatever hell you said, anyways its been awhile, what brings you back to good ol lumiose.
Dave said making conversation with one of his long time friends, he met Roxy and her sister Rose through his Bro. Dave noticed his Krookodile tried to move in for another embrace, but he caught on an tried pushing Krookodile back.
Dave: Ahhh, come on man stop, you've already your one on one contact with her.
Dave said as he still continued pushing Krookodile back. Dave never understood why his Krookodile liked Roxy so much, ya she was a pretty cool chick, but still he didn't get it.
Dave: (sigh) If its gonna be like this guess you'll have to come back out later.
He reached into his pocket to pull out a small orb, pressing the button on top an enlarging its size. Dave pressed the ball against his pokemon, and in a flash of light it disappeared into the ball.
Dave: Sorry about that, don't really get why he likes you so much.
The blonde female watched as the Krookodile disappeared into his pokeball in a flash of light. Her gaze soon returning to the male.
"nah, its ok, dovey. i have that effect on people and pokemon" she said with a wink of her eye and a sly grin on her lips.
"and ya know, same ol same ol , got all my gym badges, yadda yadda, decided id stop at home for a bit before continuing my travels, sides, mutini was feelin all sorts of homesick" she patted a pokeball at her waist where she kept her faithful companion.
"so whatve you been up to, sweetie? you sure got tall, i swear you were half my size last time i saw you!"
