Her father let her train, but only after she was done with her other lessons. Recently it has been noticed that she has abilities most of her kind don't, most likely from her mother. Her mother, a goddess, left when she was young. Her father doesn't talk about her much, but he promised to explain things once she got to school. Apparently it was too difficult for him to talk about face to face.

(Normal powers are things such as: Valkyries have the power to create doubt, confusion, and intimidation in their opponents. When using the power of confusion the Valkyrie's true form is seen, which resembles a gaunt skull. They can also restore consciousness to a comatose person, and can cause someone to die by willing it. They also have slow aging abilities, can sense when someone is about to die, enhanced conditioning, and probability manipulation.)

Name: Adam
Age: 22 (At least in looks. Not much older really.)
Race/Rank: Vampire
Description: He has bright blue eyes and short brown hair. His skin isn't too pale, despite what people like to think about his kind. He has a tattoo of a snake on his back. Adam is about 6' and muscular.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Bio: Adam got sick in early teenage years. The disease slowly ate at him, and just as he thought death had him a woman came to him. She made him a deal, promising him a healthy life full of happiness. He accepted, thinking she had some cure. She turned him into a vampire, and made him kill for her. If he didn't she would threaten to kill his mother and sister. When he found out his family was already dead, he finally snapped and killed his master. He has spent the last few years going from country to country, trying to find a home. He was found by the head master of a school, one that promised to teach him how to control his powers and hunger.

Willow sighed softly, her golden hair mostly covered by a long cloak. Her bright green eyes scanning over everyone. The witches that saw her all parted ways for her, knowing of her powers and how extensive they were. They didn't want to be near her. Sighing, she pushed her cloak back off her shoulders and looked around, her tight skirt and top showing off her perfect figure. Walking through the grand castle she headed to her assigned room, one of the best provided.

Walking into the grand room she noticed two full wooden desks, ornately fashioned, and two grand beds, both in a double size. Willow smiled, putting her things down on the floor by the windows, wanting to talk to her roommate about what bed she wanted as well.

Kevin moved through the crowds of people, knowing that he knew where he was going. He walked up, looking around for Willow. He was tasked with keeping her safe while she was here, she was very important, and needed to be kept safe. He wasn't excited about the new arrivals, none of them peaking his interest. Perhaps next year he would meet some woman who would peak his interest. He wasn't only looking at witches.

Elsbeth was in her room, reading a letter her father had hid in her baggage. He said that he would send her a letter as often as he could so she could understand everything. The man had let her come here after her powers had seemed to go out of control. Not only that, but she was having some odd powers. Powers she shouldn't have. Just as she finished reading the door opened. Her eyes went to the girl, noticing how happy she seemed to be here. Lucky her. Lately it had seemed like Elsbeth had nothing but bad luck. She stood up from the chair she was in, fixing her top. The girl was in a dark blue shirt and a brown knee length skirt. She normally had boring, conservative clothes on when she wasn't in her armor. "So, you must be my room mate. I'm Elsbeth."

She wanted to reach out to shake the girl's hand, but she didn't want to accidentally hurt her. Although she was trying to be nice right now, Elsbeth wasn't going to make this girl her friend. With everything that had happened she couldn't stand getting close to someone. They might think she was a freak, someone that wasn't going to accept her for the strange girl she was. All the people back home already thought she was a failure as a Valkyrie. Why wouldn't others?

Adam sat under a tree, glad that vampires didn't really die in the sun. He was reading a book, trying to ignore the fact that he was hungry. The headmaster had promised him this would get easier in time, but it didn't seem like it was. The hunger was getting worse every day, and he didn't know what to do. They were letting him have animal and human blood, but he didn't actually get to feed from the source. It was always gotten for him. It was like they were trying to tame him, and he hated it. It was something that needed to be done though, right?

Willow smiled, looking at the girl when she stood. She couldn't help but think there was something familiar about the girl. When Willow looked at her she smiled, and reached out to take the girl's hand, shaking it gently. "I'm Willow." she said with a smile. When she took the girl's hand she frowned. "You aren't strange.. well no stranger than me anyway." she said softly, letting go of her hand and then moving to look at the beds. "Do you have a preference?" she asked, trying to act like something strange hadn't just happened. Willow had gotten used to knowing what people were thinking, especially when she was touching them.

Willow brushed her hair behind her ear and took her cloak off. She was happy that she was here, and at least her roommate also had problems with her powers. "They probably put us together on purpose.. I can't control myself sometimes either.. I'm a good witch.. to good." she said simply. "And much to strong.. that's probably why they sent you here." she said with a smile, walking over to the window. She opened it and took in a deep breath and gasped. Death, death was hungry, she could smell it, sense it. Looking around she was confused, no one seemed to be hurt or dying, which was her normal problem. Looking down she only saw a man sitting under an apple tree.

Kevin realized what room she was in and walked in, the door was already left open, most people did that on the first day, in case they needed to get more things. It was easier to carry things in and out. When he walked in he glanced up as he walked through the door and just stood, staring at the beautiful woman before him. She was magnificent. He stood there like an idiot, looking over her perfect frame and face, not to mention the color of her hair and how it accented against her skin. "I..." He looked at her and then shook his head. "Hello. I'm Kevin." he said finally, remembering his name. "I'm supposed to look after the princess here.. and keep her safe." he said.

Elsbeth looked at the girl's hand and shook it briefly. When Willow mentioned her not being strange she wanted to question her. How did she know what the girl had been thinking? Looking at the beds she shook her head and shrugged. "They are the same. I'll just take this one." She grabbed her bag of bedding and threw it on the one to the right of the door. As the other girl spoke she listened. When she mentioned not being able to control herself either she had to say something. "Listen, I don't know if you can help telling what I'm thinking, but it has to stop. I don't even talk to those close to me about everything. I don't need a stranger to know my thoughts." She wasn't trying to be rude, but she couldn't help it. "If you do get anything from me, just keep it to yourself."

The girl opened the bag with her bedding and took out a couple things extra she had brought. Another pillow and a blanket from her grandmother. She looked at Willow when she gasped. The smell of death had been too obvious to her since she got here. "I'm fairly sure he's a vampire. I've smelled this before, and it was a vampire. If he's here, don't worry about him." She was about to sit down when someone spoke. Her eyes went to the man, her stomach knotting a bit. A princess? Of course there was something special about Willow. Her mind focused on the guy though, remembering his name. Kevin. "Well, I won't get in your way." She was going to leave it at that, but couldn't. "And...I'm Elsbeth."

Adam felt so relaxed until a sweet scent hit his nose. His eyes looked up to the dorms, seeing a girl standing by the window. Just from how she smelled he could tell she was special. Who was she? Part of him wanted to get closer to her, but he knew he shouldn't. Being close to someone that was tempting him from this far would only cause issues if they became closer. Thankfully, he would be able to get use to the smells of everyone today. Classes didn't start until tomorrow. Not only that, but he probably wouldn't be in classes with this girl. Why would they put a vampire in with non-vampires?

Willow looked at her roommate and nodded. "Yes sorry... I just wanted you to feel like... well I get it is all." she said simply, picking the bed beside the windows. She liked the windows anyway, the outdoors having always drawn her. When her roommate mentioned a vampire she locked eyes with the man under the apple tree. Willow let out a gasp as she looked at him. There was something about him that drew her to him, it was like she was supposed to go down there and meet him. He also seemed sad, and slightly angry. Willow wondered why.

When Kevin came in she rolled her eyes. "Well I don't need protection." she mumbled. "And don't call me princess.. I'm nothing special my father is just leader of the witches. That means nothing for me." she said quickly, not wanting to talk about her status in the group. She watched the vampire and then sighed softly. Of course she would think a vampire was handsome, she didn't care for wizards. They were all to full of themselves.

Kevin smiled at the woman and tipped his head in respect. "Nice to meet you Elsbeth." he said, his voice rich and soft as he said her name. He didn't know why but there was something about her he found extremely interesting. "Well then princess." he said with a shake of his head. "I'll leave you alone." he said. He looked at Elsbeth and smiled. "Perhaps you would like a little tour around the campus... students that already know their way around are supposed show new students around." he said with a smile, clearly trying to get her alone so he could talk with her.

Elsbeth sighed and shook her head. "You don't need to act like you understand me. It's fine." She listened to the exchange between the two other people in the room, slightly amused. When Kevin turned to her and asked if she wanted a tour she thought. It was a rather large area, and it would be nice to not get lost. "Sure." She moved her bags closer to her bed, wanting Willow to have room to move more. "Let's go." The girl left her room, checking her watch to know what time it was. It would be lunch time soon, and that explained her hunger. Maybe after the tour she'd go get something.

As she walked down the hall, Kevin at her side, she could feel the presence of death. It was different than the vampire though. That could only mean one thing. She started to walk by the old janitor of the school, the presence of death even stronger. He was going to die very soon. Most likely in the next few hours. The thought made her frown. It wasn't fair. She wanted to save so many of the people that were going to die, but she couldn't.

Adam looked back at his book, trying to ignore the girl in the window. It was like he couldn't get her out of his thoughts. He sighed lightly and stood up, shutting his book. After a quick glance at her he headed towards the pond near by. Watching the water and fish calmed him, and he needed that right now. He sat down on a bench there, a tree over him. Although he didn't burn in the sun he hated it. He had never liked the bright light, having it hurt his eyes slightly.

The vampire crossed his legs and closed his eyes, focusing on the sound of the water and birds around. The girl invaded his thoughts once more. He imagined her by the water, dancing and bathing in the sun. Adam opened his eyes, trying to not glare at the water. If he didn't have such great senses being a vampire wouldn't be as bad. Of course, nothing could be simple.

Kevin smiled at her and nodded, very good, she was coming. He watched her look at the older janitor and wondered what she was sensing. Noticing she was clearly upset about it he looked at the man and then shrugged. He started to explain where things were as they walked around. "Anything you like to do.. a hobby or anything? I'm sure there's an area here where you can do it." he said with a smile. "I also know a bunch of secret places too." he said with a nod. He often liked to just sit in the woods quietly, gathering things for his potions. It gave him time to think, everyone needed time to think.

Kevin looked her over and thought for a few moments. "If you don't mind my asking.. what exactly are you? I can't quite get a read. Most of the time I can.. anyone like us can." he said softly. "I'm just not familiar with your.... presence." he said, trying to figure out how to describe it. There was something about her that was very powerful, that he could feel, but he also knew she wasn't just a witch either. It almost reminded him of Willow, but obviously not a witch.

Willow watched him look at her, and then watched him walk off on a path. Pulling her cloak back on she rushed out of her room and down onto the grounds. Once she found the path, Willow followed it slowly, wondering why he was out here all alone. Once she got closer to the pond she noticed he was sitting there with his eyes closed, hopefully day dreaming about something nice. Walking softly she moved closer to him, and then stopped when she was about fifteen feet away, close enough where she could see him clearly and would be able to hear him clearly if he wanted to talk.

Brushing her cloak off her shoulders she stood there, her eyes moving to take in the sites around her. "This place is beautiful." she said softly, wondering if this place had been found naturally, or had been magiced to look this way. Willow assumed the latter was the case, because she had never seen a place more beautiful than this one.

Elsbeth looked at him when he mentioned a hobby, not sure what she should say. It wasn't like she had a lot of free time back home. She looked around as he continued to explain things, hearing him mention secret places. That could be useful. Could there be area he didn't know about yet? If so, she'd find them. Having a nice place to go to and hide would help. It wasn't like she went and hid all the time. She simply needed space from everyone, especially Willow. The fact that the girl could pretty much read her emotions wasn't something she enjoyed. If she couldn't find her own spot then she would simply ask Kevin to have one of his.

"Oh...I'm a Valkyrie. Most of my people stay back home, but...I'm different. they remind me of that all too often." Elsbeth crossed her arms and reminded herself that no one would care. It wasn't like she was the only one that had ever dealt with problems. That was something most people here dealt with. She glanced at Kevin, wishing he wasn't so nice. It would make keeping her distance more difficult than she liked. Still, she was a fighter. Fighting the attraction she felt towards him was something she had to do.

Adam knew the girl was there before she even spoke. When his eyes opened they landed right on her neck. He let his eyes take in the rest of her, his hands in fists. What should he say? The part of him that was hungry wanted to flirt, to get her somewhere alone. Then he would feed. That was something he was trying to stop though.

With his eyes back on the water, he spoke quietly. "It is." Hopefully this girl wouldn't be stupid enough to stay near him for too long. Adam wouldn't want her to end up with his fangs in her throat. The thought made him tense slightly. Why couldn't he get his mind off of this? That was a stupid question. He never should have agreed to have this curse. He had been tricked into being turned, and he always regretted it. There was the option to let himself be killed, but he was too much of a coward for that.

Kevin looked at Elsbeth and nodded when she said she was a valkyrie. "Wow I've never.. that's amazing." he said with a smile. He was genuinely so excited. He had never met someone like her before, and perhaps that was part of the appeal. Looking at her he shrugged. "I like different." he said with a smile. He kept showing her around and then motioned to her. "You really should see this.. you'll like it." he said with a smile. "It's one of my favorite places but you can use it if you want." he said.

He took her out into the woods and walked around for a while, showing her a bunch of different places that were pretty private. Then he took her a little farther and showed her the place he liked to go. It just felt so peaceful. He smiled at her and nodded. "Feel free to come here whenever.. it has a lot of herbs for potions and... it just feels nice." he said with a smile.

Willow looked at him and tipped her head to the side. She seemed so drawn to him, and she wasn't sure why. She never had this reaction. "I can't read you." she said softly. "It's refreshing." she said with a smile, taking a few steps closer. It was really nice because she wasn't used to that, always being able to feel everything from everyone around her. He was like there was nothing there, and it was so refreshing.

Not even realizing it she found herself taking another step closer. "How did you get to be a vampire?" she asked with a soft smile, wondering what his story was. "I know they aren't born naturally are they?" she asked him, wondering if maybe they were.

Elsbeth looked at him, surprised by his excitement. Was it really that great to meet someone like her? "Well...different isn't always good." That had been made clear to her. Not everyone, but some people treated her like she was a monster back home. It wasn't fair, but there was nothing she could do about it. She followed him to the woods, looking around. It really was beautiful. Still, she couldn't let her walls down.

The girl sat down and relaxed a bit, running her hand over the grass. "This is really nice." Elsbeth was worried that staying here too long would make her open up. It was like this place was meant to calm you down. To make you open up and share things you tried to hide. Neither of those were things she liked.

Adam looked at Willow when she took a step closer. Most people ran from him. Why was she moving closer? "I'd rather not discuss that. It's not something I really enjoy. It's a part of my life that I wish hadn't happened." If it hadn't then he wouldn't have hurt anyone. He wouldn't be a monster. His eyes went back to the water, trying to ignore the temptation running through her veins.

"You're either brave or stupid to get closer to me. You don't seem stupid." Adam looked at her once more, his eyes lingering on her neck. He knew that he could get in trouble for drinking from an unwilling student, but right now he didn't seem to care. Everything was telling him to grab her and bite into her neck. He wouldn't. He couldn't. It wouldn't be right to do that to her.

Kevin went and sat next to her and smiled softly, looking around. "Yeah I found it about halfway through my first year." he said with a smile. "Sometimes you need to have a time to sit by yourself and think." he said, laying back in the grass. From this angle he got the perfect view of the side of her body. She was perfect every single part of her. "Are all of your people pretty as you?" he asked her, being completely serious. She was amazingly beautiful and he couldn't understand why he was so drawn to her.

Kevin smiled at her and then let out a sigh and a shake of his head. "Sorry that was pathetic.. not very smooth I'll admit." he said, shaking his head once more as he laid there. "I'm not used to trying to be smooth around women." he said with a shrug.

Willow started to move closer, starting to get some things from him like stabs. Monster. Unwilling. Moving slightly closer she shrugged. "Well I'm not either one of those." she said with a smile. Looking at him she closed her eyes and shook her head. "I'm not afraid of you." she whispered. "They don't let you drink from people anymore do they?" she asked, tipping her head to the other side. Biting her lip she thought about all the tales about how much vampires liked witches blood. "Have you drank from a witch before?" she asked. She was curious if he had. "I... it wouldn't kill me would it?" she asked softly.

"Because if it wouldn't.. you... I would be willing." she whispered, not sure why she was so interested in letting him drink from her. "It pains you to eat from bags." she whispered. "I can feel it." she said, wrapping her arms around herself.

Elsbeth was caught off guard when he called her pretty. "Oh...I don't know. I've never really considered myself pretty." She knew she wasn't ugly, but the way other treated her made her self esteem lower. It was stupid, but it couldn't be helped. When he said it was pathetic she shook her head. "You're fine. It's not like I'd know if it was smooth or not." When it came to flirting, guys liking her, or anything involving relationships she was a bit dense. As far as she was concerned Kevin was just being nice.

The girl moved onto her back, relaxing next to Kevin. There was space between them, Elsbeth not wanting to get too close. As she looked up at the sky she thought about stretching her wings and flying. She would love that. Her mind went back to what Kevin said about her being pretty and held back a bitter laugh. If he only knew what she really looked like...

Adam looked at her when she mentioned not being able to drink from people. Either she knew they wouldn't let him or she could read minds. "They said it would be too dangerous to let me. Now that I'm around all of these students." Her question about a witch made him frown. What was she getting at? Then she dropped the bomb. She would be willing to let him drink from her? She was crazy! Who offered themselves as food to a vampire? "It...it wouldn't kill you. I'm fairly sure it would be frowned upon though." He had heard how wonderful a witch's blood could be, and it frightened him to think about drinking it.

What if he became addicted to it? He couldn't do that to her. "Why are you offering something like that?" It made no sense to him. Adam looked at his hands, wondering if he would be able to stop once he got a taste of her blood. He should have told her it would kill her. That would scare her off.

Kevin looked at her and shook his head. "Well you should.. you're amazing." he said with a nod. When he noticed her looking up to the sky. "Hey you can fly right?" he asked with a smile. "I always wished I could fly." he said, looking up at the open blue sky. "I can only imagine that it's pretty amazing." he said, not mentioning her flying now. He wouldn't want her to think he was only interested in her because she could fly.

Looking around he glanced at her. "So what are you planning on studying here?" he asked, tipping their conversation back towards school. He personally was studying everything to do with wizards, and also focusing in potion making. That was really his favorite thing to do.

Willow shrugged when he said it would be frowned upon. It didn't bother her. She had been following rules her entire life, doing something different would be really fun and exciting. When he asked why she would do that she shrugged again. "I don't know.. I feel drawn to you." she whispered. "I just.. I want to help." she said. "And it would be an interesting experience." she said lightly.

Moving another step closer she took a breath and then looked at him. "So if you want to.. we could sneak off to the woods." she said lightly. "And if I don't like it.. I won't offer again." she said, wondering if it would help him feel better. There was something about him that she just couldn't help but want to help.
