Akkhima St Patty's sounds fun~!
Erin frolics through the clover fields.astralines Nate frolics with Erin!Bob Dobbs *Chris wandered outside and started walking towards a clearing he knew of in the forest behind his house. Technically it wasnt his, he was only watching it for his folks while he went to school. He heard in class that picking a four leaf clover was truly a sign of luck but he wasnt sure he was really into old stories.
Those types of things were better meant for children but it still didn't explain what he was doing out here to begin with. He wondered if he would be able to even find a four leaf clover, they were supposed to be rare and also very small. Wonderful! he thought this is like a needle in a haystack as it is. Talking to himself in annoyance.* Akkhima Erin gets down on his hands and knees and scrounges through a clover patch.astralines Nate rummages around in the weeds around his small makeshift garden, a frown creasing his brow. Bah! Clovers!astralines Nate let out a muffled groan. He had just pulled up a patch of the damn clovers, and now it seems that they had breeded when he had looked away, and scooted over about a foot and dug into the greenery again.astralines Nate does a double take at the clover in his hand.
'Hey! It's got four!' he said in amazement to himself, and held it in awe.

He put it carefully near his watering can, and continued weeding.Akkhima Erin sits back on his heels, and sighs, no four leaf clovers among all of these. He found some with two leaves, or one misformed leaf... but those didn't seem lucky at all.Akkhima He rolled back off of his heels and onto his back, laying amongst the large patch of tiny plants. He plucked several mindlessly without even looking at them from next to his head. He brought each one up to where he could see it, and then dropped it again after evaluating the leaf count.Akkhima Still no four leafers, Erin got up and moved to another patch down the hill from where he was previously. Maybe this one would have one. He got down close and searched through them carefully.Akkhima Erin doesn't want to do something else. Erin keeps looking. He's very determined.Akkhima Erin searches with renewed fervor, wanting to brink luck to Bob and his computer.Akkhima Erin gets frustrated. He takes a deep breath and moves on to the next patch, searching for that lucky shamrock.Akkhima Erin wishes that someone was here searching with him. He always felt luckier around his friends.Akkhima Just when Erin was starting to think that his luck had run out, something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. He looked away, but saw nothing, just a glint of sun, maybe? He looked back at the patch of clovers he was last pawing through, and there, right before his eyes, right in the middle, on top of all the others, was a four leaf clover! He was sure he should have seen it before and had no idea how he had missed it before. But, nevertheless, he was incredbly happy he had found it. He plucked it up, along with four regular clovers, and carefully carried them back to his room.Ferra St. Patrick's Day: Obert sat alone propped up against a large tree trunk, book in hand. The weather was especially favorable heralding that spring was just a few days away. He imagined most people would spend the day drinking in celebration (no doubt good news for the local tavern). However, Obert was hardly a drinker. He didn't detested alcohol, but he reasoned it's rather pathetic to drink alone. That being said, St. Patrick's Day was not a holiday of special significance for him, but still a decent excuse to get out of the office.
He slowly turned the page of his book; it had been a long time since he had the opportunity to read a novel (Obert's pitiful library had collected a fair amount of dust from neglect). He selected a particularly sorry-looking volume for today, one he scarcely remembered buying, but there was a slight nostalgia in reading the formerly-popular fantasy tale that enticed him.
He turned the brittle page again fondly, but a small object slid out from between the aging paper and landed in his lap. Obert snatched the flat item and examined it. "What's this?" he mused as he carefully pulled open the wax paper. A small four-leaf clover was preserved inside. "That's odd..." he thought trying to recall how it got there. The odds of finding four-leafed clover were around 10,000 to 1. He held the enclosed clover aloft for a while and shifted it around his fingers absentmindedly, not exactly sure what to do with it. Finally, he slid the charm into one of his coat pockets. Obert was only mildly superstitious, but a faint opportunity for good luck was hard to pass up.
A nearby clover patch swayed slowly in a gentle breeze and caught Obert's attention. It hadn't really occurred to him the connection between clover and St. Patrick's Day before then so he glanced acquisitively at the patch in case his good fortune would provide yet another lucky plant. However, he quickly determined there were none and felt a bit foolish for his miffed childish desire. The book was still open to the page where the wax paper previously rested. Obert plucked a large ordinary shamrock from the bunch and slid it between the graying pages. He leaned back comfortably against the tree trunk and picked up were he left off. Pi-sama Eden this going for a walk for the forest that was her house during a long time but without losing of view the road, she doesn't want get lost again. While she walks she believes to see a clover and she come closer to check if it is of 3 or 4 leavesPi-sama ooooooooooh is alone a three leaves clover, catches it and she rotates the clever between her fingers

He let his eyes wander a bit while walking, and he spotted what he thought was a nice place to sit. He stepped off the path, walked carefully to the spot he had his eye on, and sat down. He stared up at the sky for a while, trying to think of what the few clouds in the sky looked like, but when his neck got tired he looked down in front of him. What he saw, brought a tiny smile to his lips. A patch of clovers were right there in front of him. So, without hesitation, he began digging through the patch.SomethingGood Eiten picked a three leaf clover and put it in his pocket. Might as well have at least a three leaf one, right? He then continued digging through the patch.Pi-sama Eden sat down under the tree finds a cloud in particular amusing, the cloud resembles a rabbit and the one of to the side surprisingly to a carrotSomethingGood Eiten kept searching, every now and then pushing his hair out of his eyes. He picked another three leaf clover , thinking that he'd seen a fourth leaf. When he saw there were only three, he sighed, and tucked it in his pocket with the other one.Pi-sama Now she see a clound that resembles a dog and other a cat, she thinks is funny find resembles in the cloundsPi-sama Eden has gotten tired of being alone in the forest and she puts on in road toward the parkPi-sama already in road she finds to see another clover near and she will see if it is four leaves cloverSomethingGood Eiten stood once he had looked through almost the entire patch of clovers. He rubbed at his forehead with the back of his hand, then walked over to another patch of clovers. He got down on his knees and resumed the search.Pi-sama it is another three leaves clover, she catches it and she has already two, she follows her road
Pi-sama Eden can see the park in the distance, this almost arriving but before arriving she checks another clover of the roadSomethingGood Eiten pushed a two leaf clover out of the way, to discover beneath it, a tiny bug resting on a three leaf clover. He blinked, then carefully moved it out of the clover patch so he wouldn't hurt it.Pi-sama before cutting it she realizes that alone it has three leaves and she leaves itPi-sama Eden arrives at the park and to not very far you see a boy and she comes closer with a charming smile to greet him. Hello I'm Eden and youSomethingGood Eiten blinked a few times, still looking down at the patch. He slowly looked up, and saw a girl standing there. His hair was in his eyes and face, and he had to squint because of the bright sun. "Umm..hello." he said quietly.Pi-sama s he looks amusingly at the boy, he seems that he is looking for something and for the dirt in his knees, she thinks that to state looking for for the floor, and with some curiosity she asks him: What do you make in the park? you are looking for something She says innocently Okoyk Looking up at the sky, Alex shadded her eyes. She had decided to take a walk, what with the weather being so nice and all, but this sun was just so bright. Shrugging her shoulders, she continued to walk through the park, hoping to find something of interest.
SomethingGood He blinked, looking confused. "Err, I'm just looking for four leaf clovers..." he answered her, feeling a bit foolish now that he thought about what he was doing. "Uh, I'm Eiten." he then said, remembering her previous question. He stood quickly and wiped his hands off on his pants, then reached out a hand to shake hers.Pi-sama Eden notices the confusion and then some shame in Eiten, but she doesn't give him importance, when hearing that he is looking for clovers of four leaves, she show him both that has of three leaves. I was also looking for but alone I have found these two of three leaves she tells him calmedOkoyk Alex stopped. Straight ahead she could see two figures talking, one seemingly showing the other something. She grinned and ran up to the two. "Hey guys." She smiled, "Im alex" she continued, whilst waving at the both of them. Her tail swishing about.
SomethingGood Eiten smiled when Eden showed him her three leaf clovers, and was tempted to pull his out of his pocket, but he wasn't entirely sure what else he had in his pocket, so he decided against it. "I have two three leaf clovers too." he said with a small smile.
When he noticed the other girl, he almost jumped. People..he didn't like being around a lot of people...and they were girls, too.. "Hi." he said, sounding a bit irritated though he didn't mean to.Pi-sama Eden smiles brilliantly to Eithen when he tells her that he also has two clovers of three leaves, then she hears a voice and she meets with a quite tall girl that comes running and greeting them, when she is the enough near to answer her without screaming Eden greets her: Hello I'm Eden Nice to meet youOkoyk Alex tilted her head to the side. "Whats the matter? Scared ya?" she chuckled referring to the boys' reply. She looked over and down at the girl. "Hey Eden nice to meet ya, Im Alex." She smiled.. pausing she put her finger to her chin in a thoughtful manner, "Did i say that already? Oh well, nice to meet ya! ... again" She laughed. Glancing slightly at the ground to see if she could spot a four leaf clover
SomethingGood "Nothing.." he mumbled to Alex, his eyes now stuck looking down. He was scanning the ground, looking for four leaf clovers, but he also didn't want to look up at the two girlsPi-sama Eden giggle for Alex's attitude and then she notices Eithen a little shameful looking at the floor, then she asks to Alex: Are you look for four leaf clover too, Alex she giggle again for see Alex looking at the floor too. i want a four leaf too!! she start to look for a four leaf tooOkoyk "Yup! Im looking for one aswell." Alex says kneeling on the groud a few steps away, searching through the clover patch. She plucked one up from the ground and examined it. "Aw shucks, it only has three leaves." She frowned yet still she placed it in her pocket "Close... but no cigar" she laughed.
Alex looked back over at the boy, "Oh, I didnt quite catch your name earlier.."SomethingGood "Eiten.." he mumbled, messing with a handfull of his shirt. He reached down and picked another clover, shoving it in his pocket without looking at it.Okoyk Alex jumped up. Smushing the poor clovers beneath her feet. She held up the four leaf clover triumpently over her head. "I got one!" she yelled excitedly, stuffing it in her pocket and quickly kneeling back down.
Alex looked over at him, "Eiten! Nice to meet you, Im Alex" She smiled //I have the strangest feeling Ive said this before...// she thought to herself as she shifted through the clovers trying to find one she really liked.
SomethingGood Eiten looked over at her four leaf clover, feeling a bit jealous. "You're lucky.." he said quietly, still looking at the ground for one of his own. "Nice to meet you too, I guess." he said with a small sigh.Kuyalu A greenhaired girl in a white shirt and blue pants scuffs across the park area, hands shoved in her pockets. Aivva has a lot on her mind... pretty much like usual... and the thought of digging around in the lawn for stuff is the last thing she's likely to do when she's thinking.
Except there's already people doing it, which is at least enough to get her attention. For a moment or two, she watches Alex and Eiten, brows slightly furrowed, then walks over towards them. "....What're you doing?" she asks, once she's close. Her tone sounds somewhat skeptical about the whole process. "Did you drop something in the grass?"SomethingGood Eiten blinked and looked up at the girl, his eye twitching. Three girls...weren't there any boys around here??
"No...we're looking for four-leaf clovers." he answered her. He couldn't really see too well, since his hair was stuck in his eyes and hanging in his face. He slowly looked back down to the clovers in front of him, and picked another three-leaf one, shoving it into his pocket. He had a feeling that by the time he got back to his room, he would be able to make his own army of four-leaf clovers out of three-leaf ones.Kuyalu Aivva looks kind of skeptical at that, then looks down at the clover-strewn grass at her feet. ".....Why?" She must've missed whatever rumor spawned this little project, though....now that it's been brought up, she's dimly curious about it. What makes a four leafed clover any different than a three leafed one? "If you pick it, it'll just die anyway," she adds. "Why don't you let them grow?"
But that doesn't stop her from looking. SomethingGood "Uh...because they're lucky." he said, a bit shocked she didn't know about it. "I think they give you advantages in battle.." he said, tossing another three-leaf clover aside once he'd counted its leaves.Kuyalu "Not very lucky for the clover," she points out. "And anyway... you can't rely on trinkets. You should rely on yourself, and your friends." Her nose wrinkles a little, but then she shrugs a bit and shakes it off, offering Eiten a somewhat apologetic smile. "Uh...sorry. I'm Aivva."SomethingGood Eiten blinked and just stared up at her, not sure if he should feel attacked or confused. "It's okay.." he mumbled, going with the confused for now. "I'm Eiten."Pi-sama Eden this looking for a four leaves when another girl comes and she greets Alex and Eithen, she seems that she didnt have seen, good she will have to present her, hopes patiently she finishes speaking with Eithen and then she is presented her. hello i'm Eden and i look for a four leaf clover too she said with a smileKuyalu Aivva really isn't -trying- to make him feel cornered... it's just her force of personality. She frowns faintly for a moment, then tries to look reassuring, "Hey, relax... I don't bite... honest." But then there's a newcomer; a smallish girl with snowy hair. Aivva quirks a brow at her for a moment, but eventually adds her to the conversation. "I'm Aivva. Wow, with all these people out here looking for them, there must not be hardly any -left-..." Again, she looks at her feet with a vague frown. Hnnnh... maybe there -is- something to all this? You never know. She scuffs at the clover with a toe. Pi-sama Eden smiles brilliantly to Aivva and she said: Yes a lot of people looking for four leaves clovers but they are very difficult of finding or at least to my, the most common are the three leaves clovers I already have 2 Eden show her clovers so proud of her for find this cloversOkoyk "Lucky? I guess..." she mummbled looking at Eiten, "I'd rather consider it pure skill myself." Alex said light-heartedly with a silly grin on her face. She then looked over at the new girl. "Hey Aivva, mm yeah were looking for four-leaf clovers." She answered, agreeing with Eiten.
Alex looked back at the ground, "Im sure they are lots of em left." She nodded reassuringly, "Their just hiding.." She smiled, "By the way, Im Alex" She waved happily at Aivva. picking up a three-leaf clover and stuffing it in her pocket with the others.Pi-sama While she speaks with Aivva a clover gets her attention and she comes closer to see how many leaves it hasPi-sama another time a three leaves, this time pick up the clover, and she sustains it next to both that had already, she turn to see if she finds some morePi-sama It seems that she isn't very lucky, she isn't able to find a four leaves cloverPi-sama Eden a little disappointed, she looks absently to their surroundings, when suddenly she sees it, it is a four leaves, she got it, she had found a four leaves, quickly pick up four leaves clover and she keeps it carefully, then she begins to jumps and to hug all of her happiness. I got one! i got one!SomethingGood Eiten noticed that the girls he had been talking to had sort of wandered off or were doing something else, so he decided to sneak off. He walked a bit away and sat down, starting to look through another patch of clovers.SomethingGood Eiten was getting tired. He'd been doing this all day, and almost all the girls he'd been talking to had found a four-leaf clover. One didn't even look that hard. I must have really bad luck, he thought with a sigh. But he wasn't going to give up...yet. When it got too dark, he decided he would go home.SomethingGood Eiten blinked and looked to his right. He thought he'd seen a four-leaf clover, so he picked it before he lost it. Sadly, his eyes had been playing tricks on him. He sighed, stuffed it in his pocket and rubbed at his eyes. He re-positioned himself so he was laying on the ground, on his stomach, and continued looking.Britain Seon wasn't a big fan of people, in general. He didn't like company. He preferred to be by himself, if at all possible....so while the rest of the apparent WORLD was off playing in the woods and such, he found a quiet patch of garden alone to enjoy the spring. Crimson hair was loose, trailing around his body where he sat in a wide patch of clover. He picked one, holding it up to the sun to look at the three leaves that were so soft under his fingers. Other clover had tangled in his hair, but he paid them no mind- after all, he was alone, right?Ogre The garden smelled alive. Winston carefully pushed a cluster of low hanging branches aside as he weaved his way through the forest surrounding the well-kept garden inside. He stepped out onto the soft grass, eyes widening as he took in the sheer beauty of the place. "Wow..." He looked around, smile crossing his features. The grass was cut low, long enough to provide a soft cushion.. but not over grown. He slipped out of his shoes and socks, carrying them along so he could move around barefoot. His tail swished along behind him as he made his way towards a cluster of brilliantly colored flowers. "How pretty." As he stopped infront of the first bush of bright pink flowers, he looked up and spotted Seon. He'd seen him before.. at the strawberry patch. He looked so peaceful sitting among the clover. Ah! Lucky clover!! He could use one of those. He glanced around, seeing that no one else was around.. small crowd of two wouldn't be bad, right? He sauntered over, tilting his head as he called out softly. "Hello...?" Britain The other boy turned sharply, eyes flashing as he opened his mouth, ready to tell the intruder to take themselves somewhere else and out of HIS bit of garden-
-oh. It was that boy again, the strange one with the strawberries. He'd already made conversation with him once, it would look a bit...uncivilized if he made a menace of himself now. "Hello," he replied warily instead, shoving his hair over his shoulder. "Winston, isn't it?"Ogre "Yes! You remembered," Winston flashed a smile, pleased that he'd made a friend after all. "Can I come sit with you... ? I'd like to pick through clovers too." He didn't move forward, waiting to be invited or turned away first. His tail wagged nervously, waiting for Seon's reply. Britain Well, at least he had manners. Seon felt his temper cooling, receeding back into something more managable- Winston hadn't really done anything to make him overly angry, and it wasn't his fault he'd stumbled upon Seon's little corner of privacy. Until he did something stupid, he wasn't even bad company.
One hand reached out, beckoning gracefully for the other boy to take a seat. "It's very warm," he said calmly, nodding his head once. "I do prefer quiet company, so if we can manage that- I don't see any problem."Ogre Win's ears dropped a bit, laying back in his hair as he nodded. "Oh, I won't be too loud, don't worry." He walked over to a patch near Seon, setting his shoes down before sitting down among the clover. He reached out to run his fingers over the tiny little sprouts, picking one randomly to see if it had four leaves. He glanced at Seon, wanting to chat... but not wanting to anger him. He sighed, flickering his eyes back to inspect the clover. Britain He was....really sort of cute. Like a puppy waiting for his master to come and play. That association made Seon glance over at him as he picked another clover- he was working on a chain of them to put in his hair. Even if it did seem sort of stupid to do so now.
"I won't just lash out at you for no reason, Winston," he said quietly, still watching the other boy. "You may speak to me, you know- you haven't made an enemy of yourself as of yet. You should at least believe in yourself enough to think that you can avoid such a situation."Ogre "Well, I don't mean to be rude at all-" Winston tossed the three leaf aside, looking towards the one Seon had plucked. "You..." His eyes lit up suddenly as he rushed forward, crawling up to him until he was nose to nose with the other boy. "Oh look!! You found one! So lucky!!" Britain Eeeek?! Why was the other boy suddenly so CLOSE to him, he didn't like people in his- oh. Again. Seon froze, looking first to Winston and then to the fragile set of leaves in his hand- it DID have four leaves! By pure accident, when he hadn't even been paying attention, he'd found a lucky clover!
That was enough to let him ignore how close Winston was for a few minutes, and he stared at the clover in awe. "I didn't think they were real," he whispered, holding it so that his companion could see it better. "I just wanted to be outside...look! It's so much more balanced than the ones with just three leaves."Ogre "See, imagine what else you can believe in now. Isn't it wonderful!" Winston smiled, leaning forward to sniff it. "It doesn't smell any different, that's for sure." He glanced up at Seon, eyebrows lifting. "What you gonna do with it?" Britain "I...don't know." Seon stared at it, then looked up at Winston's eyes. "I didn't know they existed, so I didn't plan for this. I suppose I'll press it in glass, and frame it...you should keep looking!"
Garland forgotten, Seon tucked his other clover into his pocket and moved back from the other boy. His eyes were alight with curiosity, scanning the ground as he cradled his lucky clover carefully. "Perhaps we'll find another one, if we keep looking!"Ogre "Oh, I hope so!" Win's tail was wagging as he crawled around the clover patch, picking at little sprouts as he went. "Have you never found something special before?" He lifted a clover, looking at it carefully. Britain "It isn't so much of finding something special," Seon replied, pausing to glance at Winston again. "It's more that...I didn't believe in them. Now that I know they're real, they're quite a bit more special- you see?"
He picked another clover, looking it over carefully, before finding it deficient and slipping it absently into his hair. "It's the same as finding....oh, a flying cat or a fairy. Stories are interesting, but when you find that they have truth in them- it changes everything."Ogre "Don't you believe in anything, Seon?" Winston sat back on his legs, hands resting on his thighs as his ears lifted. "I mean... just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there... just means it's hiding a little better or maybe you're not lookin' in the right places... just like these clovers. Lucky ones hidden among a lot of ... uh, normal ones." He plucked another, looking it over. Britain A strange thought. Of course he believed in things- just not usually the extremely light-hearted things that didn't ever seem to come true. "I try to believe in many things, Winston," he stated with a touch of reproach. "But I can only believe in so much at a time- and it's a bit dissapointing to have one's beliefs disproved over and over again. I'd rather believe in human willpower and courage of heart, than luck and wishes."
He smiled slightly, glancing at the clover in his hand. "It is nice, I will admit, to have a bit of sparkle where there were only ordinary things before."Ogre "You should believe in wishes more, Seon... you'd be suprised how much really comes true if you give it a chance." He looked up, pushing another clover around in his hand. His ears flicked forward as he peered down at the sprout, tail curling around him like a fluffy brush. "Fairies tell the best stories." Britain "Have you ever ACTUALLY met a fairy, Winston?" Seon asked skeptically. Magic wasn't his strong point, so he tended to not have as much faith in it as he should. And yet...there was a four-leaf clover in his hand. He wasn't stupid enough to think it wouldn't WORK, now that he'd found it.
"I've heard a great deal about fairies, but never seen one myself. it's hard to believe in something you can't see, when everyone ELSE says it's real."Ogre "Do you believe in air? Can't see it can you. Do you believe in the cold? Can't see it can you. Do you believe in animals you haven't seen before, or places you hear about at school?" Winston shook his head, tossing another clover aside. "It's all about faith, Seon." Win flopped down into the clover patch with a grunt, tail flopping over to lay beside him and thump the ground. "Course I believe in fairies, I told you they tell nice stories.. I heard em before." Britain "As long as you don't believe in the wicked things, they don't exist," Seon pointed out. "Who is to say the so called 'nice' things aren't wicked as well? I really don't know, Winston. It seems like a very confusing subject."
He sat back on his heels, pulling another clover out of the ends of his hair. "It's terribly easy to believe the bad things," he said softly. "Particularly about yourself, I suppose. I left home to get away from the phrase 'no, you can't.' That...is somethign I really don't believe in."
His head came up, and his fire-colored eyes were cold. "No one could make me believe that."Ogre Win glanced at him from where he lay, watching him for a long moment before replying quietly. "I suppose we should talk about more pleasant things, hmm?" He picked at the clovers idly, thinking over happier things they could chat about. "Did you make anything with your strawberries?" Britain Somehow, being around Winston made Seon feel too serious- as if he brought a dark cloud wherever he went. Or maybe, it was just that Winston made things a little brighter, so he could see how dim his vision was. He lay on his stomach next to the other boy, frowning slightly as the clovers under his hands. "The strawberries....? Oh, no, I didn't. I liked them by themselves, with a little sugar- they were really too good to put into anything else.
He glanced at Winston, thoughtful. "You are a kind person."Ogre How very random of him, Winston thought to himself. He offered a smile. "Uh, thank you... you're uhm..." He paused, glancing back down at the clovers. "You're nice to.. a bit scary at first.. like you don't want to make friends." He looked back towards him, ears lowering. "Are we friends?" Britain "I suppose we might just be," Seon replied. There was a smile lurking at the corner of his lips, though he was obviously trying to hide it. He'd always wanted a puppy- Oh! That was a terrible thought. Besides, Winston seemed a bit more like a lovable stuffed animal than a puppy-comforting.
"I'm sorry if I seem distant. I don't usually like to spend much time around people, in general- but you make good company. Perhaps we could...meet some other time, when we are not busy?" He ventured, shocked at himself. "I have a room at school right now, so I'm afraid my hospitality isn't the best, but I'm working on getting a place away from the dorms."Ogre "That sounds fun," Win nodded, picking a few more clovers to look through... he really wanted a lucky one. "I made some strawberry cakes.. we should have tea sometime and I can bring them. They're pretty good." Britain "That...would be nice," Seon replied, and sat up. His hair was starting to get tangled, and he carefully laid the clover on his lap while he combed the other leaves and twigs out of his hair. He pulled out another clover, setting it in his pocket with the others he was keeping.
"Ah.....it's gotten later than I expected. I should get back to my studies." He cast a look over at his companion, and for once did somethign entirely selfless- so odd. He picked up the four-leaf clover, and set it in Winston's hand. "Take care of that for me, will you? Perhaps it will be more helpful to someone who has an easier time believing in it."((NOTE: Giving my lucky clover to Winston heart )) Ogre crying Winston slowly blinked, looking at the four leaf clover then up at Seon. "You can't, it's your luck.. I can't take it.. what if you need it." He sat up, frowning softly. "What if I just borrow it until tea.. and you can have it back then...?" Britain "Don't be silly, Winston," Seon replied, getting to his feet and digging a tie out of his pocket to get his hair out of his face. "It would be terribly rude of me to make such an offer, then withdraw it. Keep it- since you and I are now friends, then you will be my luck ,and I won't need it. YOU will need it, because I have no luck to give back."
His smile was a little bit lopsided, but not too much. "I shall expect you at tea soon, then- enjoy the weather! It never really lasts."
With that, he darted off back to his books- feeling surprisingly good about the whole encounter.Ogre [ ok, I'll just stick Winston somewhere randomly and ... anyone around can reply. o_o ~ ] Winston was sitting in the library, looking through books for a school project. He gave a sigh, staring off into space since the book he'd been scanning through wasn't very interesting. He tapped his pencil on the pages idly, tail curled around and in his lap to keep it from being stepped on or tripped over behind him. "Hmm... " Akkhima Erin entered the school library, looking to check out a book on paper airplanes, if the library had one. He had heard that such books existed, and thought it would be really fun to make some fancy planes to fly off of the roof of the building.
Inside, he saw a boy who was now beginning to seem familiar to him. He had seen him in passing before, but had never had a chance to strike up a conversation with him. Erin thought this might be a good chance.
He grabbed a random book off of the nearest shelf and went to sit across from the dark haired boy. He set down his book and introduced himelf, "Hi there. Studying hard?" he asked, "I've seen you before. My name's Erin. You're Winston, right?"Ogre Winston glanced up, snapping to attention since he'd almost been half-asleep. "Oh, yes! I remember." He offered a grin, sitting up and closing his books. "Are you studying for the tests as well?" He looked down at Erin's books, ears lifting slightly as he leaned forward to peek at the cover. [ eek o_o ; ] Akkhima "Yep, I am." he stated with a smile. "I'm studying for..." he looked down at the book he had grabbed to determine the subject. His face paled when he realised he had picked up a copy of Myxomycetes: A Handbook of Slime Molds. "Uhh... biology."Ogre "Oh, interesting..." Win's lip curled slightly at the idea of slime molds as he sat back in his chair. "I'm working on history things, all very boring... really. Do you know what time it is.. I've been in here all morning." His face turned red as his stomach gave a low rumble. "I uh.. think I need some lunch." XD;; Akkhima "Yeah, it's almost one o'clock already! I had a late breakfast, so I hadn't eaten lunch yet. I wasn't even really hungry, but now that you mention it, I could use something to eat." He thought a moment, "Do you want to go get something together? We could go to the cafeteria, or we could go out to a restaurant in town."Ogre "Have you been to town to eat?" Winston tilted his head, gathering the books he wanted to take with him together. "I've only been a few times, but never to eat there. I would like to go if you know a nice place." He tucked the books into his bag and stood, waiting for the other boy. Akkhima "Honestly, I have no idea what's good in town. I haven't eaten out in a real restaurant before. But, my parents sent me some spending money, and I thought it would be fun. What do you say we just head into town and see what we can find?" He put his one book on the reshelving cart, and headed for the door.Ogre Winston nodded, hefting his backpack over his shoulder and darted after him. "Alright!" An adventure into town, to get lunch. Exciting. "So, what sorts of things do you like to eat?" He walked up beside him, hands in his pockets. Akkhima "I like most things, I'm not too picky except that I can't stand too much chocolate or pastries. I'd rather have a nice sweet fresh apple than a candy." He smiled at the thought, "but that's not too important for today's lunch. I'm kind of in the mood for a nice warm toasted sandwich. I think I've seen a sandwich shop in town... shall we go see if we can find it?"Ogre "Sandwiches sound delicious," Winston followed along beside him, nodding. "I like deserts... but you're right, it's not very good for a lunchtime snack. How far away do you imagine it is from here?" He glanced back at the school, wondering if they should tell someone... in case something happened. Not that anything would happen- that would be horrible. He blinked, attention snapping back to reality. [ The Fool ] Scratching the back of her ear, Cybille strolled down the path in the local park. It was time to pick a few clovers and hopefully manage to find one or two four leaf clover, which would be time consuming but she really did have nothing to do. Four leaf clovers were very rare to find and brought luck to whoever was observant enough to see one. Mom used to tell me stories of how she was a kid who believed such stories. The elf let out a sigh and looked over to the right to see a healthy little clover sticking up proudly. "Oh, there's one." She scuttled over to carefully pluck it. It turned out to be just a normal three leaf clover. Well, not everyone is able to strike at the first try.[ The Fool ] Craddling the clover in her hand, she continued to look for others and reached down to pluck yet another one which barely escaped from being stepped on. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks as she reminded herself to be more cautious. And it would not be nice to step on other small creatures.. though that could not really be helped. Yet again, it was just a normal three leaf clover. Perhaps this will really take up my entire day.. She thought quietly, in search for another.Ballentine A few feet away was a boy with red hair, a pair of ears pressed tight against his head. The boy was down on his hand and knees as he brushed his hands through the grass. Was he looking for clovers? Perhaps that's what it looked like to anyone else. Truth be told, he lost his glasses. He had snagged his sandle on a rock randomly placed in the field, flailed his arms as he fell forward and the next thing he knew the world was all a blur with his glasses lost from their place on his nose.
He let out yet another frustrated growl, sitting back with his feet curled under himself. Where were those blasted glasses? Reaching up with one hand he gave a small rub to his eye, taking a glance around. Perhaps a lucky clover would have helped him find his glasses.[ The Fool ] At the sound of a noisy batch of children, she muttered and walked towards another direction. There was nothing interesting about listening to such youngin's talk about the latest toy model in the shop. Though, it was nice to remember back when she was just a small elf girl. Anyway, back to picking. Cybille shook her head from left to right and suddenly found herself looming over a boy crawling all over the ground. It appeared as if he too had been searching for clovers but.. he seemed awfully frustrated about it.
"Um.. are you alright lad?" She bent down to have a look at his face and tilted an eyebrow upwards. Well, he had two fluffy ears and a tail.. along with wings. Then for a split second, Cybille wondered what it would be like to have wings.. It was somewhat common for the citizens of this town to have those flapping things on their backs.. Jake has them as well. Curse my train of thoughts.(End on pg. 786)
