On the same day at the same hour, a set of envelopes were sent out to a specific group of young adults. What these people had in common was unclear. That is, until they read the letters.
Dear Little Foxes
If you have been unfortunate enough to receive this letter, then that means you have committed an unforgivable sin in your past that has in some way, shape, or form affected me. You may not remember what you have done or even know what crime you must have committed in order to be punished in such a way, but rest assured: you've earned this.
In the envelope is a location. At that location, your first trial will be revealed. There are nine trials. Each task will cause you to put both your morals and your life on the line. For each one you fail to completely, someone you care about will die. Same thing will happen if you cheat or go to the police. Do not try and test me on this. I can assure you, this is no bluff. Should you successfully finish all of the tests I have laid out for you, you will receive your reward: you will learn the truth.
Don't worry, though. You are not alone. Four of you will endure what you all have brought upon yourselves. You may help each other, hurt each other, or completely ignore one another. The choice is yours.
Remember: I am always watching you.
