Legit Information Dudes.
The city this story takes place in is Washington D.C.
It has been a year since the apocalypse started. Patient zero happened around a year and a half ago.
Therefore your character has been dealing with the undead of about eight months.
There are different types of Survivors. Healthy and Immune. I don't require you to tell us this in your character profile, but once you pick one, stick to it!
Corpses are not uniform. There are different types.
Undead that are bred in the darkness (bit and turned in Metro Station, dark tunnels, yada yada) are fast zombies to make up for their lack of sight. These zombies are called Flash Mobs, due to their usual pack style of hunting.
Undead that are bred above ground (not in Metro Station) are slower, but stronger. These zombies are called... Zombies. They can travel in packs or solo, and tend to be less aggressive than Flash Mobs, but will never turn down a kill.
Undead that are bred between two zombies (Oh yeah. I went there. Creepy Zombie on Zombie action, they are still human! Sort of...) are called Monsters. Monsters are mutated versions of zombies and/or Flash Mobs, some with missing/extra limbs, extra speed, or extra strength. Monsters aren't born as babies, in fact they develop faster than human fetus' and when born eat their mother's for protein. A.K.A- don't give birth to a Monster. Monsters are unpredicatable and much smarter than the average Undead. Monsters can leave booby traps and lure in humans with mock screams.
Undead that are bred in the desert are just corpses. There is literally no one in the desert. (For now.)
Flash Mobs are afraid of fire. This being said, the only thing that can kill a Flash Mob is fire or decapitation.
Zombies feel no pain and fear nothing. A simple shot to the head will end your fight with a Zombie.
Monsters feel pain and fear. Who knows what other emotions they feel? They can die the same way a human can, which begs the question; What are the Monsters?
