 Zoe, an Australian Shepherd puppy, was sleeping in her mama's bed for her nap. Zoe was so small but was the only surviving puppy of her litter. Poor thing was the runt of her litter but was well taken care of, even though she was very frail and didn't eat much because of her small size. Though she was the runt, she was the sweetest puppy anyone would know. It was hard to believe that she was so small when she was born. She was however a little lonely because she didn't have any siblings to play with, but her mama made sure she was never low on fun. She loved her mama and daddy, but wondered why they had to live in a kennel at the pound.

 Hannah was sitting near the front of their kennel, next to Zoe's father watching a family taking home a dog that had been in the kennel right next to theirs. They had been there almost since the puppies had been born. When they had been found and brought to the shelter, Hannah didn't have much weight on her, and as a result, the pups weren't getting much to eat. The people tried their best to save the pups while Hannah was regaining some of the weight she had lost, and they were doing well at first, but then it was found that they had worms and even though they were getting the medicine they needed, not all of them pulled through. It pained her that she lost most of the pups, but at least she still had Zoe.
She glanced over at Zoe, before glancing over at Zoe's father. "Do you think we'll ever get out of here?" she asked him. She didn't want Zoe to spend her whole life at this shelter, but she didn't want the three of them to be separated either one day. The only good thing was that they were in a no-kill shelter.

Parker looked around as he was leaning on the cage door to the 'room' they were in. He barked a bit to get some attention but got down and moved to Hannah, "I don't know but I promise everything will be okay." He said kindly and reassuringly as he gently nuzzled Zoe to let her be reassured. He didn't like what happened with their pups but he wanted to keep Hannah and Zoe safe.

"I sure hope, so." Hannah said to herself, before walking over to Zoe and laying by her on the pet bed. It was a rather comfy bed and big enough for all three of them to lay on together.

Zoe woke up a few seconds after she was nuzzled, with a big yawn and a small puppy noise afterwards as her mouth closed. Her little, nub of a tail started wagging. They were all purebred Aussies so Zoe was of the finest Pedigree lineage. SHe then went over to Parker before she nuzzled her daddy's leg. "Dada!" She said in a sweet puppy bark before she looked over at Hannah, wondering if they would find a home soon. She went over to Hannah and started to play and pounce on her mama's tail, playing with it and trying to be cute.

Hannah looked at Zoe and smiled watching her play with her tail. "I see someone's awake." she said turning around and nuzzling Zoe playfully yet gently. "Did you sleep well sweetie?

Parker looked at Hannah when she went to Zoe but he sat and was happy to see that Zoe was playing with Hannah's tail. He wanted her to be happy as he had seen that she had gone to him and barked dada to him. He knew she was a fighter even though she was so small. When he was about to walk over he heard a noise of someone coming which he protectively went to their sides. Cody looked at the woman who worked at the shelter. He began to wonder about how their were dogs that were in their pens. He was lead around till he noticed Zoe, Hannah and Parker. He was surprised that Zoe was so small but he thought that they were cute and gently went by the pen, "Hey there." He said gently smiling to them, knelling by the cage door.

Zoe hid underneath Parker knowing he was protective of her and Hannah. She whimper and started shaking a bit before she saw Cody's smile. She sniffed at him from a distance but looked up at Parker, not wanting to be separated from her parents since she was too young and because she wanted to stay with them.

Hannah walked over to the front of the kennel and put a paw up to the cage letting it stick out a bit, as she looked at Cody, hoping this would be the chance they were waiting for. The woman working at the shelter walked over and explained Hannah, Zoe, and Parker's story. "We'd rather not separate them since little Zoe here is still so young, and they came in together." the woman said basically explaining that they had to all be adopted together.

Parker protected Zoe as she had gotten under him, but he gently kept his guard up as he made sure to keep an eye on the human male. Parker watched as Hannah had went to the cage and put her paw up and out a bit. Cody watched as the male protected the pup but then noticed Hannah. He heard what the woman said about the dogs and had looked around at the others. He had liked their breed and thought that maybe they could have a nice home, "Alright, I'll adopt them, I have a big open yard thats fenced up, they should be just fine." He said thinking that he would have plenty of food for them as he gently pet Hannah's paw, "How would you all like to have a nice home?" He asked curiously.

Zoe then barked at Cody, after coming over to Hannah on her wobbly legs. She then darted away from Hannah and Cody, playing some. The man whose house they came from gave her a lot of human contact and so did the ASPCA workers. Zoe then hid behind Hannah, barking at Cody cutely, trying to be like her daddy.

Hannah wagged her tail and barked happily at Cody's question. Finally they were going to a good home. "Great, i'll just get the paperwork that you need to fill out for them, and they'll be yours." the woman said smiling as she walked away, to go get the papers. She had grown quite attached to Hannah, Zoe, and Parker, and was a bit sad to see them go, but was happy that they were finally able to go to a good home.

Parker looked Zoe as she had begun to bark and dart around on her wobbly legs. He saw that she was trying to be like him but gently nuzzled her as he thought about how she shouldn't do too much. Cody watched this and smiled, he was happy to have them come home with him but soon he looked at the woman and nodded, signing the papers as he read over what he needed to sign for them.

Zoe stopped what she was doing when Parker nuzzled her. Her tail began to wag as she said "Dada!" with a small giggle in their language. She loved Parker and Hannah very much. She knew they would love her no matter what. Though as Zoe looked over at Cody, she hid behind Parker with a small puppy bark, trying to be playful. She began wagging her tail at him as she went over to Hannah, and sat between Hannah's front paws as she looked up at her mama with the sweetest brown eyes.

Hannah looked down at Zoe as she looked up at her and smiled. "Looks like we're finally getting a good home, Zoe." she said as the Melinda, walked back over to the cage with the leashes and collars and a small box of some of their favorite toys and dog bed. "Well guys it looks like this'll be the last time i'll see you all here." she said after opening the kennel and kneeling down. She petted each one of them on the head as she slipped the collars around their necks and hooked their leashes. Hannah licked Melinda's face as she hugged them all goodbye. Melinda was the first person who was on the scene to rescue them, and had been there to help take care of them ever since. Standing back up and holding the leashes, Melinda handed the box to Cody. "I'll help you bring them and their things to you vehicle." she said smiling, even though she was a little sad to see them go. She would've adopted them herself, but she lived in an apartment where pets weren't allowed. "I hope i get see you guys again some day." she said to the dogs. Melinda was actually the same age, if not a little older than Cody. OOC~Sorry i've taken so long to post.
