I'm really curious about how people have determined (or is deciding) their own style biggrin

What have influenced your style ? Who's your favourite artist??
How do you have started to draw human figures?

I'll talk about my traditional-art style (with the Digital I'm still no good and my style is pretty different..... )

I've draw dragons for great part of my life; when I started to draw human figures, I used as model Marvel style, in particular Mike Deodato jr. and Stuart Immonen (I still love them!!). I've copied a lot of their draws ><
Then, I tried italian comic style (Corrado Roi's art is amazing! I love how he uses shadows to describe human figures).

However, in the end, I think my style is enormously influenced by japanese manga, in partucular some yaoi artists like Natsume Isaku or Zaou Taishi (for female figures).
Obviously for chibi style, my Muse is Nendoroid~~

So my final style (traditional art) is a commingling of all these artist and style.
(well....Sometimes I use only Occidental style, sometimes only the oriental one)

I definitely prefer a more stylistic type of drawing style. I really like anime/manga, so a lot of my art is derived from that. I also grew up on Disney, and animated movies so I think I've got that 'princess' type of female drawing style. Don Bluth is huuuge influence. The animators from Beauty and the Beast did an amazing job there.

My favorite artist is a lady by the name of Jubilations on the internet. Here is a link to her main tumblr account:

I copy her art style quite a bit. She's just so expressive with her characters emotions, and her line work is great.

I have a folder on my desktop full of other artists work so I can study how they do things and try to further my artistic style.
I draw in a lot of different styles and all of them have been influenced by one thing or the other.

Hell some of the things I do where inspired by how my girlfriend draws.

My style is pretty much entirely based off anime, I don't really have a favorite artist tho.

Drawing was my mother's hobby, and it rubbed off on me. I started with a realistic drawing style. Although, I found my anatomy was always wrong (ie. eyes were to big, legs too long). Once I was introduced to manga, I decided to give it a try. Now I draw in a manga style.
When it comes to my favorite artist, I would have to say it is Mark Crilley. I love his mangas and follow him on youtube. His drawing books and videos are amazing.
