This city was once known as the Home of the Golden Sands, that was before it fell to famine and disease back in the 8th century and became a city of ghosts. It was the capital of Albanoch for the duration that it existed and adventurers from far and wide would come here for rest, treasure, and pleasure. It was one giant oasis, fresh water ran through, towers stood several storeys high, palm trees at every corner. But not any more. Every street is deserted, every building falling apart, foundations still existing, some entire walls even. the architects of the past took no short cuts. The waters run almost dry, contaminated. The bones of the dead can sometimes still be found if not taken by the rats or creatures of the sea nearby. Each year, Ar'bek-Zul suffers a fearsome sandstorm, too dangerous for anyone to venture in.

"Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones. But you still have to choose"

They all managed to escape the palace, take the elevator back down and avoid the guards a second time before coming to the TARDIS. The Doctor took no time in opening the locked door to the contraption, and with a hum the reverberating sound of the technology within echoed out. He stepped in and instantly ran towards the control panel in the middle, where he turned around and waited for Euphemia and Arwren to come in. Euphemia was faster to come in, she already caught a glimpse of it before and didn't seem to surprised, something the Doctor was slightly disappointed for. But Arwren's reaction was what he wanted. The Lord Commander of Asmodius slowly approached the doorway. He felt the pace of his breathing become irregular when he first took a look inside from a few feet away after Euphemia walked in. He felt as though everything he knew or understood was a lie, even in this universe. He crept closer, and took a single step inside, before taking a step back. No, this can't be real he thought, looking in and then out a few times. Outside - no hum. Inside - he could hear himself think like he was in a glass bowl. Outside - small. Inside - big. He caught the Doctor staring at him whilst leaning against the console. Arwren gasped. "Its-" he began, eyes darting around the door frame, "bigger on the inside"
"I know" the Doctor replied in glee, "now, come along prince I can't get this thing moving if you've got the door left open."

Arwren finally stepped in, closed the door behind him and walked along the raised platform towards the console. He stopped beside Euphemia. The Doctor then looked at Euphemia, there was something so familiar to him about her in this setting, to which he had to ask "Euphemia. Have I ever met you before?" with an inquisitive stare like a curious old owl. If eyebrows could kill, she'd be dead, or at least stunned - or distracted. He asked her as if she should know and not him.

After her reply, he proceeded to tell them to "hold on" as things were about to get quite bumpy. He pulled a lever that hit the console hard and shook its frame, sparks lit up as the Doctor looked to the ceiling as it began to circle. the engines began to groan, backwards and forwards, in and out, louder and quieter until it seemed as though it was getting further and further away. The sound of a heavy metal surface being lifted from the ground could be heard too. The Doctor seemed impressed, and pulled a face as he announced "well, that was surprisingly smooth! Give it a few, I'm sure it'll get shaky when we land soon!"

Meanwhile, Cardy was still away, even after an hour or so. She never went to sleep she just remained staring up at the ceiling for some time thinking to herself. Then she began to hear that same sound from before, the aching, groaning sound of something disappearing in the distance with the glowing blue light turning on and off outside the window. The TARDIS' glow stretched out across all areas of her room, and made her sigh out loud before muttering "I would kill a man to stop that bloody light". The glow lit up her dusty wooden floor, highlighting a deeply scratched city of circles and markings in the middle. She rolled her eyes again, the sound was getting further away but that blasted light was still flashing! She grabbed a crystal knife on her desk and with her short stubby arm flung it back at the glass window, causing it to smash but not fall apart, and instead turn black and block out all of the light. she breathed out and let go of the dagger, it firmly stayed stuck in the shattered black glass.

Euphemia

All of them left the palace undetected and fled into the streets towards the concealed TARDIS. The Doctor unlocked the door and the humming from the inside filled the air as the machine activated. Euphemia rushed in, her soles pounding against the metal grate flooring, as Awrwen took his time to explore. No one was pursuing them, but now wasn't the time to be awed by the whimsical box. The Doctor began pressing buttons on the control panel in the middle of the room, but was unable to finish due to Awrwen's continuous curiosity. The leader of Asmodius stepped in and out several times trying to comprehend the fact that the TARDIS was bigger on the inside than the outside. This baffled her too at first, but the excited on the machine dies rather quickly. The Doctor leaned against the control panel patiently as Awrwen confirmed his findings. Of course, this amused the old man immensely before he shut the door so they could be on there way.

At some people, the Doctor turned to her randomly and asked he him and her had meet before. Instantly, she shook her head and replied, "As I said before, I meet a man like you. He was traveling with a woman named Clara. I'm not sure why they came to me or the exact time of out encounter. I don't even know the reasons why I went with them." her past memories were running dry no matter how hard she tried to remember. Abandoning his intense gaze on her, he warned them to grab on to something. Pulling a lever, the child gripped a nearby railing as the TARDIS rattled as if it were about to fall apart. Above her the ceiling rotated and the machine whined. She couldn't tell if it was ascending or not until she heard the metal scraping off the ground. It was taking off and Euphemia thought the Doctor was crazy if he acknowledged this departure as "smooth". Euphemia looked to the Doctor and asked, "What will you say to the prince once we get there? An apology isn't going to cut it." she stated bluntly. Throughout this whole trip she was wondering what Cardy was doing or if she even noticed that she was missing.

The Doctor could only respond with "how peculiar" to her explanation. Many things were starting to wiz through his head but many if not all seemed impossible. Why would he or she remember encountering one another even if not in this exact life but not remember each other at the same time. He simply left this one quiet until later.

When most of the groaning and shaking of the TARDIS stopped, Euphemia took the time to ask the Doctor what he would do about the prince, and how simply saying sorry wasn't going to be enough to make it up for him. He returned her with a stare, and even he knew that he couldn't apologise to the prince for accidentally leaving him for several hundred years. His voice trailed in a he said "I... don't know yet." but then he perked up as if to be in denial as he added "But I'm sure he'll be happy once we get him back to the city hm?". Arwren then asked him something, still bewildered by the TARDIS. "Do the wizards of Entei know about this? Do Merlin make this?" he asked, as though the Doctor actually came from this world. He shook his head and almost chuckled, "no" he replied thick in a scottish accent. "No they do not. Frankly I don't really know who they are, but I think you'll find most of this wizardry is really just complex mathematics and science that you lot can't understand so just call it Magic." he gestured with his hands like a jazz player to emphasize the magic. "But you're a wizard yourself?"
"No no no no no. No. I'm a Timelord, from the planet Gallifrey, last of my kind. Very different but I guess the same thing at the same time."

And then the TARDIS began to shake, "Ah!" he held up a hand and looked between them, "you might want to hold on, the city doesn't seem to like unwanted gue-" but he couldn't finish, sparks were flying from one end of the room to the other, the TARDIS was being tossed voilently from one side to another. The Doctor lashed out to a railing and held on for dear life whilst also running to the control panel whwnever he had the chance to flip a switch or press some buttons. Arwren meanwhile was thrown to the floor, pulling himself back up he was tossed to a different railing which he held onto tightly. The flying machine groaned and creaked, the lights above them circling the room faster and faster. The Doctor was yelling "IT WILL BE OVER SOON- JUST. UH- HOLD ON. DON'T GO OVER THE- RAILINGS ITS A MESS DOWN THERE"

Euphemia

The Doctor questioned her answer and she was sure he knew something she didn't. Or maybe, she just assumed that he knew all the answers in the universe due to the fact that he is a "doctor". Although, he never specified that he excelled medical terminology and quantum physics so she just drew all speculation from the name he had given himself. She was diving to far into thought at this point and allowed the old man to explain him plan of winning the prince over. He admitted that he hadn't thought that far ahead, but knew he would readjust to his royal lifestyle. Surely if he adapts to a long forgotten environment, he won't be as cranky and forgive the Doctor for abandoning him. Euphemia felt like the idea was far fetched, but then again, doubting the Doctor's abilities will backfire on her. For now, she agreed with her childish way of thinking before Arwren interrupted. He wanted to know if the wizards of Magic Earth had knowledge of this invention, and much to her surprise they didn't. It would be a ground breaking discovery if they did and she could only image how they would harness the technology.

Besides, the Doctor said he didn't know who they were and indicated that magic was a form of mathematics. If that were true, then how was Cardy able to fire off multiple without ever running out? Or, how is her sword able to transform into a bracelet? This confused the Corps leader because he assumed that the Doctor was a wizard himself. Instead, he turned out to be some strange life form from some unknown planet and not human like she pegged him to be.

Suddenly, the TARDIS was being shaken up by a force from the outside. The ceiling went into hyper driver and sparks ignited from one side of the room trailing over to the other. The Doctor did all he could, pressing buttons and pulling levers to get the machine to safety. Euphemia gasped when Arwren was flung over the railing, but managed to get back up. Like the Doctor exclaimed, it was a mess down there with all the documents and books. The child held onto the railing as best as she could, but eventually her tiny frame was thrown downward as well. She laid in the pile of papers and books for a few as she tried to get up. However, she could reach the railing and when the TARDIS jerked again, she impacted the wall hard. This practically knocked her unconscious and she laid among the mess lifelessly.

Arwren managed to lift himself from the railings he had attached his body to in the shaky landing. It was worse than any earthquake he'd ever endured in the mountains north of Asmodius. During the fray, he wasn't aware that Euphemia had been thrown down and knocked out. As soon as the TARDIS landed firmly, there was a silnce after the humming stopped, but outside it sounded like the walls of the machine were being scratched and brushed. The Doctor ran over to Euphemia, faster than a bullet could brushed through leaves of a dying tree and stopped right on top of Euphemia. This old crow was waving his hands over here eyes but to no avail, he sighed and firmly pressed his fingers on her temples. After a few seconds she was coming-to. "Ah, there we are!" the Doctor said, as if relieved but not fearful of any real danger upon Euphemia at all. He put out his hand to her, wanting to help her up, "Come on" he said, a raspy voice as he lifted her to his level. They stood beneath the metal bridge that led from the entrance to the control panel. The Doctor said "We're here!"upon twisting on his heel and going up the metal steps up to the bridge.

Arwren stood at the door and was staring out of the windows, but he couldn't see through them, no one ever could. It would be like cheating the Doctor thought. You could look outside know what was there and be scared or relieved before you even step foot on the fresh soil. No, he liked a challenge, a bit of excitement! "I wouldn't step to close to that if I were you" he said, looking at his computer screen that extended from a metal arm from the panel. On the other-hand, sometimes he needed this to make sure he won't die if he steps out... "We're in the middle of a sandstorm, pretty strong one at that"
"I did tell you" Arwren replied, some cockiness in his reply as if to say 'I told you so'. He turned around, "It happens ever year this month, devices are knocked dead outside, the sand is like sandpaper blasting against your skin and leaving you as a husk of what you were before. We can't go out in that". The Doctor seemed silent at first, not out of fear or worry, but of disappointment. "Reuphemia" the Doctor shouted, "do you mind wearing this?" he threw an bright orange space suit at her, and then a plastic head-piece that looked like half of a fish bowl followed it. "Well, unless you want to die i'd wear it, be stupid if you didn't to be honest". He then threw a pair at Arwren, who left them at his feet in surprise. The Doctor turned to Euphemia and said "You still want an adventure?"

Euphemia

Sifting through the dead shrubbery, he found Euphemia laying there peacefully. As if by magic or some form of telepathy, he was able to wake by touch her temple. The child groaned and sat up slowly so she wouldn't get dizzy. There's a chance that she could have a concussion, but for now she felt a bit disoriented and nothing more. The Doctor smiled delightfully at her waking, and offered to help her to her feet. Once up, she rubbed the back of her head sensitively and processed to follow the Doctor up the metal bridge. He seemed far to eager to arrive in the middle of a devastating sandstorm. Meanwhile, Command Awrwen stood close to the door trying to view the elements outside through the non-transparent windows.

The old man warned him that it would be dangerous to step outside at the moment which concerned Awrwen further. He was a little to superstitious for his own good when the storm outside just happened to be a coincidence. However, the Doctor's methods always seemed unorthodox so she could see what Awrwen feels the way he does. The Doctor walked over to the control panel and concentrated on a screen that showed the hostile terrain of the desert. He explained how they wouldn't last five minutes out there which calls for some type of protection. Turning to her abruptly, he handed her a putrid orange suit and told her that it would be unwise of her to reject it. Even though the helmet looked a bit silly, she took the Doctor's advise and slipped it on over her clothes. Due to her petite frame the suit was baggy on her, but still functional. Finally, the Doctor wanted to know if she still wanted to go on this journey or turn back like a coward. She had come to far to give up now so she wasn't backing down! The girl shook her head enthusiastically and signaled for Awrwen to hurry or he'll be left behind.

Arwren quickly chucked on his suit, but the faces he pulled as he put his arms through the sleeves and zipped it up his front showed that he didn't particularly like it. The Doctor in his bagginess ran to the door and opened it, air flung in and outside sand was flying around the TARDIS. Arwren put on the helmet to his suit and felt like a goldfish, he followed on after Euphemia. It was strange, Arwren knew it should be hot out here, the orange glow piercing through the sand storm above them should be melting their skin... so-to-speak. But the suits seemed to be keeping them relatively cool at the same time as protecting them from the grating sand. "Come on!" the Doctor called, making Arwren jump, "uh" he began, looking around his helmet, the Doctor's voice came from a speaker, they were all hooked up with mics to stay in contact. The three of them battled their way through the sands.

After some minutes Arwren finally spoke up, and to Euphemia and the Doctor he said "We really shouldn't be here Doctor..."
"Yes yes i know you don't want to be here but do you want-"
"No, we really shouldn't be here!"
"And why is that? Scared of some sand getting in your pretty golden hair?"
"The Mummy Boy!!!" Arwren finally admitted. "Everyone's heard the tale of the cursed Mummy Boy! I didn't want to say it before, its bad luck!" Suddenly the Doctor was standing right in front of Euphemia and Arwren, he looked confused and slightly frustrated, "What do you mean a cursed mummy boy?! Look they're not-" he paused, remembering that time on the Orient Express, there was most certainly a real mummy on that space train... Arwren shouted "rumours say he destroyed the city! That's why every year this place is consumed by a sandstorm and mysterious happenings, its the echo of the Mummy's despair!"

And just like that, the sandstorm stopped. The sand fell to the ground like fine rain and the sun got brighter like the crack of dawn over the horizon. Everything became clear, and all around them buildings tall and low were being revealed. Dead trees torn down, buildings with corners rubbed away by the air and sand, a dry river bed nearby, destroyed bridges... but aside from that. Everything else stood still, as if everyone just died.

Euphemia

Awrwen played the princely part very well because his expressions on the suits fashion sense said it all. He looked like he is accustom to the finer things in life and would rather die then have someone see him wearing this hideous gear. Once the Doctor was dressed, he opened the door to the TARDIS allowing the sand to invade. She rushed out into the harsh terrain before she was scolded and looked back at the others. Euphemia couldn't see a mile ahead of her, and the Doctor seemed like the best tour guide for this adventure. To lighten the mood, Euphemia put the sides of her hands up to the helmet and acted like they were fins on a fish, and forming squeezed in faces. She caught a small chuckle from one of them through the monitor installed in her helmet. Trudging along, the albino couldn't help but gaze at the orange glow of the horizon and the sparkling flakes of sand that drifted by. The environment was beautiful but obviously dangerous if they couldn't walk a few minutes without protection.

Only a couple of minutes in, Awrwen began to regret coming to the desert and was trying to convince them to leave. The Doctor assumed he was being melodramatic until he brought up someone called the Mummy Boy. The old owl stopped them in their tracks and looked irritated as he questioned the realism of this tale. He tried to argue with Awrwen, but instead let him continue with this supposed tale. Apparently, this boy demolished a whole city out of despair, but it seems likely that someone would go so far over something so trivial.

Euphemia rolled her eyes when suddenly the sandstorm ceased magically revealing a desolate city around them. Most of the buildings were still intact with some minor corrosion on the sides. Trees were uprooted and the river bank probably dried up years ago from the intense heat. Her eyes widened in excitement and she turned to Awrwen. "He destroyed a city, huh? Your tale sounds a little far fetched, Sir. It sounds more like this boy was misunderstood." she responded cheerfully before spotting a dried up, architecture fountain. Without a second thought, she ran over to the fountain wanting to get a closer look.

"Sometimes the only choices you have are bad ones. But you still have to choose"

The Doctor's ever-growing guild was beginning to take a firm hold like setting cement in his heart, did he cause this? He had his thoughts, the very boy he was going to be saving could infact be this Mummy Boy they're talking about. "No, no, no, no" the Doctor began, not evidencing his ideas so they had no idea why he would disagree with either of them. He pointed at Euphemia and said "you" with raised eyebrows, "Your good" he then pointed to the Lord Commander and said in a hoarse voice "don't be stupid, a boy couldn't possibly have done this..." He liked to believe so anyway. The boy must hate him, he left him in a cage, a box... no... it was a sarcophagus. Told him he would fix everything, he was the sorcerer that would finally release the boy from his curse but instead he's woken up 800 years later and possibly destroyed the city.

He whipped out his sonic screwdriver and began to scan the riverbed he ran over to. The buzzing kept going and going until it rang like a spring as he flicked it up. The green light glowing at its tip like a dull star. He stared into it, holding the screwdriver sideways and inspecting the silence it emitted. "Aha!" he exclaimed, standing up again and dashing over to them, "You" he pointed to Arwren, "your wrong". Arwren narrowed his brows at him in frustration "stop calling me that, i have a name! We have a name!"
"Names are really just quite pointless really" he mused, still fixated on the sonic screwdriver as he paced around them in circles, he even scanned a wall there and a dead tree here along the way during his mumblings. He spoke in an almost fractured way, like, excitable, bored breaks or breathes between some words in odd places. "they're just symbols, tags, a way for someone to lazily remember you. Whilst in the grander scheme of things, you are, just really, too unique for a name to realy identify you as. ANYWAY. Look. AHA. See, this place was dead around 700 years ago (if i remember my own lore correctly..) WHICH, means, that, this place could not have been killed by a silly, mythical Mummy Boy. No, see" he held up the sonic, but nothing could be seen on it. "this shows disease running through too, famine, completely naturally causes." he stared at it again, "Well, not entirely, something intruded, ah, the disease intruded. I see."

Arwren was growing impatient, "you'r rambling on! You don't make sense, your the worst sorcerer I've ever come across"
"don't be silly that was just another pointless name gave you"
"then who are you!"
"the Doctor!"
"but that makes no sense!
"you don't make sense" he eyed Arwren up and down. Arwren then turned to Euphemia and said "do you really think the 'Doctor' knows what he's doing? I don't see no prince."
"You" the Doctor said, looking at Euphemia, he asked "want to go exploring, hm? there's fresh scents in the air, he's nearby i'm sure"

Euphemia

The dried up fountain wasn't a grand spectral like she thought it would be but at least the engravings were decent. She shouldn't expect so much from a barren desert and thought of herself as childish. Being childish wasn't necessarily a bad feature, but it will get her into trouble one way or another. Anyway, she walked back over to the Doctor only to have him point at her saying that she is good. Euphemia tilted her head in confusion because the Doctor was never specific on anything, so she has no idea why she's good. In Arwren's case, he was assuring him that one boy couldn't terrorize and destroy a city even though its a high possibility. She guessed they won't find out why the city still stands unless they find some kind of form of human life to communicate with.

Euphemia observed the old owl pull out his sonic screwdriver and scan the riverbank for something. He never said exactly what he was looking for, but a piece of moss could help them at this point. The device began to buzz and glow when it detected something which caused the Doctor to run over and announce that Arwren is wrong. Yet again, she had no idea why he was wrong. Obviously, Arwren's temper got the best of him because the Doctor didn't even bother to address them by their names. However, the Doctor retaliated by saying that names were pointless and personal uniqueness is what really defines a person. She didn't know how to respond to this concept as she continued to watch the Doctor recon the city. His mumbling concerned her, but finally he spoke up. He informed them that the city is only 700 years old meaning this Mummy Boy couldn't have drove out its residence. He also explained that the disappearance of the people was do to natural causes for the most part.

This information to the commander though was the last straw and he confronted the Doctor head on. Like herself, he wanted to know whom the Doctor truly was and why he never made sense. Ironically, the Doctor simply told him that he doesn't make sense so his last resort was to turn to her for support. As Arwren interrogated her, the Doctor interrupted insisting that they go exploring sensing that the boy is close. Euphemia took a deep breath in and calmly looked between the two of them. "Mister Arwren, I believe the Doctor asked us to join him for a reason. Sure he doesn't make sense something, but he hasn't let us down yet, right?" she glanced at the Doctor, "Yes, I would like to go exploring but before we go with you we need to know that we can trust you. You have to start communicating better with us. Okay, Doctor?" the girl reached out her hand for a handshake.

Arwren gawked at first, he didn't want to believe that this 'Doctor' could be making any sense right now. Sure, he hasn't really let them down yet but he hasn't given them anything to go on either. Arwren closed his mouth, knitted it together with imaginary string as Euphemia continued. The Doctor's face lit up for a moment, but then he looked like he was scolded. He was quick to look away and tut as if he wasn't the one that should be scolded. "Fine" he said, giving in. He shook her hand firmly and smiled back, as if he was proud of her, "The heir is around the corner, he should be safe inside a sarcophagus. Don't worry Lord Commander, he's not dead he's very much alive. Nothing can touch him".

The Doctor had taken then a few blocks away, as if he remembered the streets precisely, like he knew it before it's decimation. "I remember this place like it was yesterday!" the Doctor began, but then he raised hsi old brows and added "well, it was yesterday". It wasn't long before they came before a tall building, it was quite narrow and at the back there was an extension added on. The corner of it had been torn down like an explosion threw it all out into the streets. The Doctor stopped suddenly and exactly what he hoped didn't happen looked like it had. Arwren stopped beside him and looked at the destroyed extension, he saw the sarcophagus in the corner opposite it, open with it's lid hanging beside it. Then Arwren asked "D-Doctor" hesitation in his voice, but at the same time the confidence and solidity you'd expected from a leader of a great army, "are you telling me the heir to the throne of Asmodius, to Occulas, was inside that?". The Doctor nodded, and as Arwren pushed through the both of them to get a closer look at the room, the Doctor began looking around for clues in the sandy floor. There had once been a beautiful pavement here, the sand had gone crispy and solidly covered most of it. Arwren called out "where could he have gone?! It looks like someone broke him out!"
"Or... he let himself out..." the Doctor murmured, looking to Euphemia with an astonished gaze.

Euphemia

Arwren saw that there was no sense in arguing and allowed her to take care of all the affairs. At first the Doctor arrogantly turned away, but after some thought he agreed and shook her hand enthusiastically. Now that the formalities are pushed aside, they can focus on finding the sarcophagus the prince is trapped in. Around the corner they went, more like a couple of blocks, and the Doctor assured Arwren that the boy is alive. The sarcophagus attacks as a barrier, but she was sure that could have been something more comfortable for him to rest in.

The Doctor obviously knew the way and even claimed that he was there the other day, but how is that possible? Why didn't he take care of this matter when he was here!? He's so unorthodox, yet he's tons of fun to be around. When they arrived at a narrow building with a destroyed extension, the Doctor was mortified. It looked like the sarcophagus was shoot through the wall like a bullet and is barely in one piece. What kind of monster raids the sight of a defenseless boy!? Arwren shook with fear when he saw the defiled compartment and questioned how the boy slept in that for so many years. Both of them began looking on the ground and inside the building for some sort of evidence and so did she. After a while, Arwren demanded his whereabouts and assumed that someone broke him out but the Doctor thought otherwise. As Euphemia searched, she found a trail of unraveled bandages that lead to who knows where. Without thinking, she followed it wondering what was on the end.

Osirys Ah'Mumu
The Curse of the Sad Mummy

Every child in Ar'bek-Zul has heard the tale before
About the cursed mummy boy who felt his heart no more
So sad and lorn, the helpless lad, Osirys was his name
He ventured out to find a friend and learn about his bane

But then the curse began to whisper in his ear
And would confirm what was Amumu's biggest fear
It pledged that never shall someone become his friend
It pledged that he shall be alone until his end

The astonished Lord Commander was searching the ruined extension through and through, hoping to find clues about the boy's existence. He would occasionally through insult at the Doctor for keeping him alone in such an awful place, with a cursed mummy. The Doctor would simply throw back his own petty insults without really moving around too much, he was still hiding back his suspicions about the young boy. The boy is the mummy he would tell himself. They all hate him, even years after he's ever truly existed.

But Euphemia had found the biggest clue of them all, and all alone she had tracked it down until its end. The trail took her down past a few small homes, their empty windows bare and dusty. It took her over one bridge covering what must have once been a river. It stopped at a rather large building, long and wide with several stories. Although the top corner had withered away and crumbled. Half a wooden door hung off a single hinge on the top of the doorway leading into the sandy abode, and before the darkness within knelt a boy. He was hunched over his knees, as if he'd fallen down at the doorway. But his back was flinching, like someone's chest would if they were upset. His whimper's could barely be heard under the cloak he wore to protect him from the sandstorms.

"Euphemia" the Doctor began, looking around with wide eyes, "great, you lost her" Arwren said, chucking his arms up as if to give up on him. "No, don't pin this on me I should be pinning this on you"
"You brought her not me"
"shut up shut up shut up, you're not helping. Euphemia?!" he shouted out to her, but she must have gone slightly too far for his hoarse voice to reach her. He then brought out his sonic screwdriver and it began to buzz, the Doctor seemed fixated on his instrument. Arwren was standing closer now shaking his head like an old man would to a wild youth. "let me guess, you're just going to magically find her with that sorcery of yours inside that tiny-"
"Yes"
"sorry?"
"Yes, I said yes. What don't you understand?"
"You're going to track her?"
"Exactly, I planted a tracker in her palm earlier, come! She's not too far, she might have found something." the Doctor commanded, changing his direction and whipping off round the extension. "Why are you tracking her?! Did you know she'd go missing?"
"Not exactly. She is very, very quite peculiar. Anyway, none of your business, just keep a look out for her"
"as you say"

Osirys was a young boy, he looked no older than 16. Now that he had suddenly stood up and faced Euphemia it was obvious. He was much younger than even she, even if Euphemia didn't know her own age exactly. His frame was wiry like a stick man, but his skin was pale and fair, his eyes a soft blue and innocent beyond thought. His hair was paler though, a shade of blonder so close to white that it looked like all life had been torn away from any golden locks he may have once had. "Don't come any closer" he said, his tone emphasized his age, it hadn't quite broke yet at all, and he was trying to be strong, but it sounded like his heart had been through too much to ever be more than weak. "What happened here?" he asked first, his chest was moving in and out as if he was trying to stay calm, "where is the sorcerer? He said everything would be okay"

The sorrow and despair
Became too much to bear

The moment when Osirys realised what he had done
Too late it was, for him, for them, the evil curse had won
The anger and the anguish overwhelmed his fragile soul
And caused a wicked tantrum that he never could control

Euphemia

Euphemia hardly realized that she ended up in an even more secluded area of the town. The houses weren't as corroded as the rest of the town because it was more hidden in the middle. However, the dust was kicked on so thick that she could barely tell what was what. After passing a row of houses, she crossed a creaking bridge above the dried up river. This place must of been peaceful and full of life, the river shimmering, the windows clear, the people skipping around merrily. Over the bridge remained a skyscraper, its top half disseminated, and other than the hanging door it was in tack. Although, the flaws of the building weren't important; it was the boy kneeling in the doorway that got her attention. Euphemia was about to run up to the boy thinking he was hurt but didn't want to startle him. The sandstorm had stopped and she wagered that the only harmful element is the sun if she gets to much exposure. She decided to take off her suit only for a few minutes in order to confront him normally. She was sure that the space age looking attire will scare of day lights out of him.

She waddled towards him until he stood up, faced her, and warned her to halt which she did. He was terribly skinny, the sleek black clothes helped, and his hair was almost as white as hers. His eyes were a crystal blue displaying how young and innocent he is. If she had to guess he looked a little younger than her, but then again, she has no idea how old she is. She doesn't even know her own birthday. He spoke to her confidently, yet the shock of waking up after so many years in hibernation was getting to him. Euphemia took in all his questions and answered slowly, "I'm not sure what exactly happened here. There was a sandstorm earlier, but that's normal with this terrain. Anyway, by "sorcerer" I assume you mean the Doctor. He's not far from us and I can take you to him. In a way, I kind of know what you're going through. I haven't been here as long so everything is new to me like it is to you. And I know what ever the Doctor told you will turn out just like he says. It will be okay just trust me." she stepped an inch closer and held out her hand. "You must be the prince. My name is Euphemia. It's nice to meet you." she smiled hoping he would accept her.
