Biography: Kasumi was born on Shadow Mist Island to a pirate and her mother, who was one of the island’s doctors. The day Kasumi’s mother realized she was pregnant, marine docked at the island. Knowing that the marines would kill his family if they knew he was a pirate, Kasumi’s father left the island. That is where a strict marine, Alex, stepped in and forced her mother to marry him. The moment she began to walk, her father began to teach her the art of swordplay and the World Government laws. By the age of 10, Kasumi despised the man she knew as her father. She grew up constantly training and studying to become his ‘perfect’ marine daughter. Her mother tried to allow Kasumi to have some time to be a child but her husband ruled over their house with an iron fist allowing no room for questions. So whenever she could, Kasumi’s mother, taught her everything she knew about medicine. At the age of 12, Alex found out about their secret lessons, he took Kasumi’s mother from the house and she never saw her since. For the next 3 years, her father trained her even harder only allowing her to sleep and eat for a few hours of the day. Finally, her father was called to duty when she was 15. He tried to force her on to his boat, but Kasumi had enough of trying to please him. In the process of Kasumi trying get free from his reign, a band of pirates strolled up to the marines. The captain pulled Kasumi free from her father’s grip and drew his sword. There was an intense battle leaving the many of the marine severely injured. Alex retreated leaving Kasumi behind with the band of pirates. It didn’t take long for Kasumi to realize that the captain was her father. Unable to stay for too long, Kasumi’s true father left her on the island, so she could find herself. Since that day, Kasumi knew she wanted to be a pirate like her father. The next few years, Kasumi traveled around the West Blue in search of her mother but all of her efforts failed. So she returned to the island when she was 18, to carry on her mother’s work for the next year.
Personality: Kasumi usually never speaks unless spoken to or she knows you well enough. She is stubborn and will not change her mind easily. Due to her background, Kasumi tries not to show many emotions but she has a weak spot for kids.
