Her enchanted swords. Made of steel, they are exactly identical, but their enchantments are different. The one she always sheathes on the left has an enchantment of flames, and the right has an alteration enchantment to paralyze.

At first Ai is a very quiet, straight to the point woman. As a mercenary, she is reserved, she doesn't want to get attached- just in case. If you live in her home town, or go to the places she does a lot, she might start to open up. And if you can beat her in a fight, she tends to be a bit nicer to you. And maybe lower the price...

Aivlys was born to a simple family in Windhelm. They had a little place, and they were happy. Her father was the captain of a ship that went between Skyrim and Solstheim on a regular basis, and her mother was the one who ran the orphanage before Grelod the Kind. She herself was training to be a guard, and enjoyed being a swordsman.
War is an aweful thing though, and her father joined forces with Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak early in the rebellion. He was one of the first to die in the name of freedom, and Ai's mother was so depressed she stopped eating. Disgusted and destroyed by how Ulfric used men to gain power. Ai left Windhelm. She pleaded that her mother follow, but to no avail. Instead she took the money her father had saved for her, a set of worn out armor, a sword, and some food, and left.
She did a lot of traveling, and enjoyed it. She ended up finding her way to Solitude, where she met a man by the name of Marcurio. At the time he was a mage just out of college, and still learning the ropes of mercenary work. They clicked, and eventually decided to travel and fight together. During their adventures, they were ambushed by a group of Orcish bandits, and Marcurio never made it out.
After that, she was rewarded his inheritance- all his money, and his family house in Dragon's Bridge. Not long after her mother died, and again she was rewarded an inheritance. She quickly sold the house her mother and father had lived in, plus any valuable that were there, then took the money to get specially made armor and weapons from the Skyforge.
Now she is generally found in Dragon's Bridge or the Winking Skeever of Solitude, a hirable mercenary.
