A message appears on the bulletin board just before the Headmaster's removal date.
Well, dear students, I'm sure several of you are wondering what you're to do in the coming days. The graduation ceremony is not for quite a bit, because many of you still have plenty left to do!
Carrmin has told me that something new suddenly appeared in the forest.
To impart final instructions for the year I have enchanted this parchment so it may be read in any language.
It appears a barrier that was hiding a small cottage has suddenly disappeared.
To all first and second years: Please sign up for your intended path and element on this sheet. Please do this quickly so professors can adjust their lesson plans for the following year.
Carrmin refuses entry to all but students and professors in his forest, and the professors will be busy with the Council.
First years: This is the end of your first year. I presume many of you have been using a wand. With a year of channeling under your belt, this is the time to choose another channeler if it suits you. Professor Bellis will be happy to help.
So, dear students, I ask that you investigate this strange matter as I, unfortunately, cannot.
Third and fourth years: You are permitted to leave early if you wish, as long as you make appropriate arrangements with professors. Please note that house representatives are required to stay until the graduation ceremony.
Perhaps you will be able to get to the bottom of this mystery when the Council was not.
All students: This has been an eventful year, to say the least. I am truly regretful that we were unable to track down the Blood Pact unit that has been camping somewhere in Nimue's Forest over the course of the school year, as I am sure they are the Council's true targets and not myself.
And, perhaps, my absence will not be as long as the Council wishes it to be.
Ah, well. Someone must take the fall, and if the Trimagick Council is unable to apprehend the terorrists then I am all too happy to step down. Much of the Council's behavior recently has concerned me, but that is for another time.
Please retrieve translator charms from Professor Reynolds before I am removed and the debarrier falls.
Perhaps someone else will be able to read between the lines and solve the mystery of their erratic behavior.
Good luck, dear students.
Enjoy the rest of the year, dear students. Hopefully our parting will not be long.
I fear you will need it.
