You finally have your house back.
Tomas Dorms 2.0 has a fresh feel and it seems that, unlike before, the school didn't skimp out on furnishings. The walls are freshly wallpapered in Tomas blue, and decorated with a few new paintings and landscapes. (And, of course the school's crest, a bear, primed to attack.) There's even that mirror the house rep bought ages ago, hanging up on the wall! It's covered with a cloth, though, so nobody can get into the weird other dimension by accident.
The furniture is brand new - an oak table, blue-upholstered chairs, and creamy leather couches now furnish the the downstairs. The firewood's been bewitched to auto-refill if it gets too low. A grandfather clock is pushed up against one wall, and finally you no longer lack what the other houses had - a grand piano. It often plays music to suit the mood of the room, or, if asked kindly, it plays nothing at all. It also takes requests. Nice.
A photo hangs over the cabinet nearby the piano, of the white cat that's been missing ever since the fire. In the cabinet there's still space to put cat treats, but there's additional space to store other pet food in the event other students need to use it. And, of course, there's a first aid kit just like there is in every house.
The Tomas Dorms also enjoys a larger, better-supplied kitchenette compared to the other dorms, knowing the current house rep's love of cooking. A pad of paper is attached to the fridge to write down that week's shopping list, and every Monday morning the kitchen staff helpfully supplies whatever the dorm needs.
Upstairs, there are still two separate dorm rooms. In standard tradition, the left side is for the girls, the right for boys. However, the doors leading to each larger room now have signs that simply read "Right" or "Left". The only difference is the left room's mirror compliments those that walk past it.
The grand tour over, you're now free to explore the dorms yourself. You wonder if there's still a secret or two around the place nobody's found, as you go back down the stairs.
Something catches your eye. A white lump of fur curled up on the piano.
Looks like some things never change. You make a mental note to put cat food on the shopping list.
Welcome to the Tomas Commons and Dorms!

╯Bαмвι Lιάɴɢx♠ xToмαѕ╰ xxx♔x2ɴᴅ ʏᴇᴀʀx♔ There was something about spending her past summer running around Justus trying to scrounge around for money and shelter that had Bambi really appreciating her common rooms when she came back. Not that she hadn't properly appreciated them before, of course. The Tomas Dorms were sweet.
"Dorms sweet dorms." Bambi muttered happily to herself as she immediately dragged her stuff upstairs, already staking out her favorite bunk in the left dorm rooms. Tossing her stuff onto a top bunk (the best spot was always the top!) Bambi quickly bounded back downstairs. There wasn't anyone around, but that wasn't a big problem.
With a worryingly menacing chuckle Bambi headed towards the kitchen, a bit drool slipping out of her mouth as she stalked to the fridge. Giving an unnecessarily evil laugh, the second year swung the door of the fridge open as her stomach gave an audible grumble. "Come to meee, free food~" ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ǀcєx❄xƤяαcтιтισηєя

Man, it was nice to not have to sleep in the back of a convenience store for once.
Amanda made a huuuuuge show of yawning as she prodded the door open with her shoulder. Gosh she had such a crick in her back! A nice long nap would take care of that. The dorm beds were nice and soft, and Amanda couldn't wait to lie their head down and sleep for... eh. Maybe ten hours? They'd have to work that out later.
Amanda could hear someone in the kitchen, but she didn't bother looking yet. Instead, she took the stairs two at a time, picking the Left at random (well, not really - the mirror was the perfect pick-me-up after a bad day) and dropping her only luggage, a backpack, onto a bottom bunk that was unoccupied.
Perfect! And now they could investigate whoever it was in the kitchen. Amanda went back down the stairs and poked their head in. Ooh, that jacket and fabulous hair combined? That could only be one person. Amanda grinned.
"Baaaaaaaaaambiiiiiiii~!"

╯Bαмвι Lιάɴɢx♠ xToмαѕ╰ xxx♔x2ɴᴅ ʏᴇᴀʀx♔ The sound of the door opening didn't even do so much as make Bambi pause as she began to unload snacks out of the fridge, balancing various food items on one of her arm in a way that probably wasn't too safe. Finally satisfied once she couldn't hold anything anymore, Bambi straightened up and carefully unloaded all the plates onto the countertop.
She took a few steps back to survey her work, a grin wrapped around her face. Now...what to eat firs--
The call of her name had Bambi practically jumping in surprise. She whipped around in alarm, braid going flying behind her, face that of somebody who had been caught committing a crime...until she realized it was just Amanda.
Cute, precious, incredibly adorable Amanda.
Bambi put on her coolest smile, pushed back her bangs and leaned against the countertop. "Helloooo, darling!" She greeted, waggling her fingers in a wave. "Oh how I've longed to see your face over this cruel and unending break! You truly are the light at the end of the tunnel, the drop of water in a barren desert! The, um..."
Bambi paused for a moment, wracking her brain for any more analogies. Finding herself completely fried due to a proper lack of food, her eyes slipped over to the various snacks she had already laid out onto the tabletop.
"...Want some food?" She asked instead, waving her arm in a grand motion to indicate the presence of the plates on the table. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ǀcєx❄xƤяαcтιтισηєя

A dramatic streak a mile wide and good taste in food - ah, Amanda had missed Bambi. "A single flower blooming in a snow-laden field?" they suggested, stepping over to the food and nodding approvingly. Bambi had some kind of sixth sense for the perfect snacks, she swore. Or maybe they just had the same taste in food. It could be that. (It was probably that.)
Amanda reached over and swiped an apple from the table. "Don't mind if I do," she said, sinking her teeth into the sweet red fruit. Mmm, juicy. And way better than the convenience store stuff she'd been swiping for the last couple months. Amanda had been so happy when she got the notice that students could come back to the campus; getting back home would've proved to be a bit of a problem.
Plus, now she was back among friends! Life sure was looking up. "What'd you do over break?" she asked, talking around the apple. "Charm anyone with your good looks and clever tongue?"

 ℱinley ℑrving
Finley was amazed at himself by how easily he found the dorms. Not that he was particularly bad at directions, it was more the overwhelming sense of foreignness. Honestly, nothing was particularly different or unusually compared to Finley's home, but he felt as if there was this overhanging wondrous feeling about being in a different country. He was expecting himself to get lost just looking at things that were new, no matter how insignificant. But he made it. And he was glad.
He slowly pushed open the door and instantly felt like this was the place for him. Finley felt at home in the sea of blue. I could really get use to this, he mused, making his way into the room, pulling his stubborn second-hand suitcase behind him. He was planning to go and sit on the couch and just look at the room some more, but voices pulled him in the direction of the kitchen.
He tried to keep quiet while entering the kitchen as to not interrupt the two people having a conversation, but his bag didn't seem to share his curtsey and rattled as he pulled it along. He prepared an apologetic smile for the strangers, knowing that he wouldn't go unnoticed with such noisy luggage.
((OOC: I'll make a prettier posting style later yeah))

╯Bαмвι Lιάɴɢx♠ xToмαѕ╰ xxx♔x2ɴᴅ ʏᴇᴀʀx♔ "A single flower blooming in a snow-laden field!" Bambi repeated with gusto, voice quavering. She brushed away at her bangs with the front of her hand, tilting her chin up to give an extravagant look.
Noticing that Amanda had taken an apple, Bambi quickly followed her example and snatched up one of the fruits for herself. It had been a few months since she had a fruit.
She froze up a little at Amanda's question.
"Of...of course! I'll have you know that I charmed multiple women. Each and every single one of my love affairs was a passionate ordeal! The ladies simply can't keep their hands off of me."
She was lying, of course. It wasn't like Bambi was going to tell the truth of what she had been really doing.
What had Bambi really done? Mostly scrounge around Justus and the towns in the area over for money like a desperate dog. She had been surviving on the handouts she got from playing violin on the street and the occasional job that someone shifty would offer. Bambi was used to not having shelter and sleeping outside, but she had to have money to feed herself and replenish her general supplies. (Not to mention rent out a motel room when she needed to take a shower.)
Bambi winked at Amanda, offering a grin before she sunk her teeth into her apple and ripped out a large chunk. She chewed three times before swallowing. "My little fawns begged me not to leave them, of course, but I must attend Merlin. I'm very dedicated to my studies."
Bambi looked up at the sound of rattling luggage, blinking a little in surprise at the sight of a new face. Aw, wasn't he a cutie? Bambi offered them a friendly grin, waving with her apple-less hand. "Greetings, stranger! You look like a fresh face! I am Bambi Liang." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ǀcєx❄xƤяαcтιтισηєя

Macy Stenson 1st Year Tomas Macy wandered in through the still-open door to the dorms behind Finley, hearing some sort of clatter in the kitchen. She'd kept quiet while approaching the dorms since pulling her suitcase took most of her upper body strength, and if she'd had to talk to anyone it would have been really embarrassing. Also, she wasn't sure if she was sweating with the effort but if she was that was TOTALLY GROSS AND UNACCEPTABLE and she would probably die before greeting new people in that sort of state. Standing in the doorway, she got her breath back, reassured herself that her brow was dry, and couldn't help but giggle at the noise from the other kid who was probably her age lugging his luggage across the floor. "Wow, dude, those wheels really need some WD40!" She commented with a braces-filled grin, still standing in the main doorway. She pulled her suitcase across the floor and was rewarded by a smooth movement, relatively rattle-free. "Mines as smooth as silk- probably why you didn't notice me walking in just behind you!" She giggled again, possibly from nerves, possibly from the idea of herself being a ninja. She really hoped her housemates were feeling friendly! "Hello Bambi! My name is Macy!" She totally inserted herself into the conversation, pulling up beside Finley.

Corey Edmonds
1st Year Tomas Corey pulled his suitcase through the door, his shoulders drooping slightly, and weariness obvious on his face. Jetlag was awful, and he decided that if he learnt nothing else, he'd learn some sort of spell to get rid of it. He looked around the room, rubbing his eyes and straightening his back as he took in the blue hangings and the outright differentness of the place, it was nothing like anything in small town Australia, after all. He heard voices from the kitchen, and quietly walked in, his small suitcase clicking along behind him. He smiled at the only familiar face in the room, moving to stand next to Macy. He gave a smile to the rest of the group, hoping his nerves weren't evident on his face. "G'day" He said casually, leaning on the kitchen bench, moving his head to meet the eyes of everyone in the small group. He hadn't caught any names, so had to settle for just a general greeting, "I'm Corey, I'll be the one keeping you all up at night with snoring" He joked, "What's goin' on in here?" He added, his casual demeanour ruined by him letting out a yawn, damned jetlag. [[My image is screwed, I'll fix it once I figure out why it's broken -.-]]

Amanda giggled; Bambi was an awful liar. So she hadn't met anyone, then. That kinda sucked for Bambi, but it was good for Amanda. More Bambi for herself, after all. Which meant more games of checkers, chess, and pretty much any other board games that had been successfully rescued from the incident a couple years previous.
Amanda looked up as three people entered in quick succession. A small dark-haired cutie, a thin brown-haired cutie (WOW she had a nice hairstyle), and a taller yawning cutie. (Everyone was a cutie in Amanda's book, at least til proven otherwise.) Amanda grinned; wow, Tomas was getting so many new students! They almost felt sorry for Lucian, that slithery house was fortunate if they got any new students ever.
Amanda waved to the three new people and gestured to the food laid out on the table. "Hi Finley, hi Macy, hi Corey! I'm Amanda! Want some food? Bambi has good taste and got the best stuff out of the fridge."

Macy Stenson 1st Year Tomas Macy gave Corey a very unamused look when he mentioned he was going to be snoring. "...Of all the people I knew, it had to be the bogan that turned out to be magical, didn't it." She grumbled good naturedly. Her frown slid back into a small smile as she continued to stand next to him and wondered if he had a comeback for that. Hopefully the comeback wasn't to mess up her hair- boys could be mean like that sometimes! Corey and Macy had already met earlier out on the school grounds, and now Macy was /almost/ over her initial amazement that someone else from her original highschool was around. "I'd love something to eat, thankyou Amanda and Bambi!" She stepped forwards, leaving her suitcases in the kitchen doorway, and took a couple of biscuits, biting into one and holding a few others. "Is this kitchen like, for all of us to use...?"
