This thread is simply a place to put my character idea's down and their stories down. This is completely separate from the universe in question and characters. It's just me having some fun between posts and what have you.

Isles are vast and numerous in Land of Waves. These isles and surrounding ocean create a natural defense and aura of mystique throughout the land. If the secrecy of the Hidden Mist wasn't enough what transpires on these isles brings about their own tall tales and mytho's we've grown to listen to. Speculation surrounds the validity of these tales, some are even tasked to prove whether there is truth behind the veil of fiction. Neither the case, shinobi in Hidden Mist are some times paid handsomely to discover and bring back any evidence of these tales, and such is now.
Lord Antashu Mastsuhidei, tokubetsu jonin and praised and kenjutsu practitioner has been hired for such a task. A relatively older shinobi being in his mid-thirties, which is considered old in their line of work, stands at an average height and wears the typical shinobi attire of the Hidden Mist. Pale vest opened to reveal a thin sheet of metal weaved cloth, tightly woven together and gleaming. He stood with profound posture with his head held high and bandana wrapped entirely over his head. Long strangs of hair fell to the sides and framed his strong facial features, profound cheek bones and a square jaw- a sturdy individual if ever one. Whom the employer of stated mission has remained anonymous, for the most part, which is per usual when A-Rank missions are involved. Circumstances, remained mysterious. Anatashu's Mizukage was rather hesitant to hand over the mission primarily because another team was attached. They've gone missing in the isle, which raised some concern. Antashu, being a prime candidate for the executioners blade was an asset to the Hidden Mist. For added precaution, he'd been granted the sword for this mission, and if the team previously attached were retrieved, the blade would be his.
"Antashu..." The Mizukage began. "There's some thing amiss about this mission, I can just feel it. The Lost Hari clan child is of little importance. Getting our shinobi back is our main goal, understand?" The Mizukage's hands folded together and templed up as he rested his elbows on the desk and leaned forward, looking away and losing himself in thought.
Antashu clapped his fist against his fist, pressed against his heart and bowed to the Mizukage. "Yes, Lord Mizukage." He simply stated and sheathed the blade on his back.
Mizukage's index finger rose and his eyes glanced over to Antashu. "Wait.... Are you sure you want to do this alone?" He quipped and Anatashu gave the response a firm glare and nodded.
"No, these are my students, and my responsibilities. I've already arranged for my replacement at the academy in my leave." He began and paused to swallow the embarrassment. " I should have never convinced you to allow them to undertake such a task." He turned on his heel and started for the door.
"They're geniuses and prodigies, no one could have foreseen there disappearances." The Mizukage said and attempted to soften the shame of Antashu's choice and relieve him of guilt. Though, it seemed to fall on deft ears as he disappeared, closing the door with a subtle *click* and left. --------------------------------------------------- What is known of the Hari clan is little, and of their unique jutsu style is another story in itself. What we do know is some, if not few were sniveling cowards. Nearly two decades ago, a couple whom were of Hari descent traveled far, much further than they expected. Their minds were filled with false splendor of gods and demons whom would grant them power beyond imagination; a common wish which most would have saw through. These two were another story. Determined to follow the woman's dreams, whom was purposely pregnant for the occasion, arrived at the mysterious isle for the Kappa's whom dwell in her dreams. She gave birth there, and hoping to give up their male heir to the Kappa demons discovered not all was well. Their supposed heir, who's fresh soul would grant them insurmountable control over the Land of Waves turned out to be another matter. Bringing a young girl into the world, the Kappa were furious. So furious they snatched the couple from the land and pulled them away, into the depths. Both struggled and tried to preform hand seals but they were soon drowned. Their lungs filled with water and bodies soon limp, fell to the murky depths at the expense of their murderers.
Some speculate what happened to the lost daughter of Hari. Shinobi often tell tales of the Kappa taking her under her wing yet others say they simply killed her like the devious murders they were. There are many theories but one thing has become almost certain; she lives to this day. Adventurers have discovered violet glass shards, which could belong to anyone but have sparked speculation.

Shinobi come and go, that goes without question; however, other shinobi don't merely disappear. When shinobi are lost, their bodies are typically retrieved by various means, each depending on the hunters style, ethics, and deceased shinobi's status; and though most, if not all shinobi were found, others may slip through detection. These one's aren't in your bingo book; no. You see, those who steal the corpses shouldn't be found by others. They carry secrets specific to their village, or once village. Kage's won't place these individuals in bingo books or even place bounty's- no. Instead, other methods are used. Through a string of spy networks connecting the various villages through informants and field ninja; Kage's will specifically target these individuals for capture, turning them into priority one.
Why I tell you this, cause one such shinobi is among those in Kiri. His name erased from history, his missions removed, and those associated with him had their memories wiped of any knowledge. Any information regarding this man is to be administered by the Kage, and the kage alone. Only ANBU, Oinin, or specific shinobi through special request are privy to such delicate information. Our land, Kiri and its myriad of isles and villages can't risk the panic he invokes by existence alone. Quiet as he maybe, his beating heart and every breath is an insult towards those whom consistently track and hunt each and every scrape of evidence. --------------------------------------------------- Mabora, he's been called. The name itself means nothing, it's simply an alias used to identify the target. Only one, single word is known, and that in itself is crucial information. He who carries this alias also carries nearly a dozen Kiri-nin bodies. It's unknown whether those nin are dead or alive, thus, marked as 'KIA', killed in action. Even if they're alive, it matters little. Mabora's horrid experiments and indoctrination process ripples through ones psyche, deteriorating, wrinkling their minds and remodeling them. He extracts and feeds off their information, implanting wonderful dreams and pleasures into the gaps. What was once hardened years of training would become simple farm life. We know this by the spies he's once placed in Kiri. Kiri-nin returned, indoctrinated with specific orders. Some watching from the fields and boats, others operating within the Oinin. These shinobi returned but with specific markings and scars from their encounter with Mabora. These lead the previous Mizukage to question the validity of their returned shinobi and brought them into interrogation. Genjutsu would reveal the truth as Mabora's chakra was ever present, lingering through the minds and watching from their eyes.
To witness such distinct and precise jutsu was alarming. Farmers, fishermen, and possibly shinobi were all watching and waiting. Training exercises, forbidden jutsu vaults, even the O-Kage's secluded training sessions were all captured in this one shinobi's memories. You see, each and every individual flowing with Mabora's chakra was linked together. Their vision one. They didn't no it, know one knew they were spies. What was worse, extracting the technique meant tearing away the mentality and psyche of those inflicted. A state of vegetation would ensue, making those infected useless. Indeed Kiri had produced a far more intimidating threat than most villages could perceive. It's because of this he wasn't placed into the Bingo Book and became a priority missing-nin. It is noted that none, if any could guess. Their best guess is the Land of Waves is his home, and through the decades, has become a land he can safely hide in. Whether it be underwater caverns, various isles, or simply caves, no one could locate Mabora no matter their efforts. ------------------------------------------ What remains to be known is Mabora's history. Some, or those whom are privy to the alias, speculate he was a potential successor gone rogue, others assume ninja reality got the better of him, like others. Ninja's are lost in their own operations, even targeted for death, and this may very well be the case in Mabora's case. He's obviously shown unique and tactical skill, enough so that every, if not all secrets in Kiri are revealed to him. Presumably, a coup could be afoot but why now? No, this seems to obvious, even for a schemer like him. Though, the more alarming issue is the fact even the current Mizukage, Tozuki, only knows of the alias and the single technique to infect others minds. His combat style, appearance, motives, other jutsu's all remain shrouded in uncertainty. Dojutsu's could even be suspected, at this point. Professional jonin and ANBU have been caught, even in squads, which leads to believe Mabora is undoubtedly talented, and has become more and more proficient is these skills throughout the years.
To some relief, the tales of Mabora have begun to settle in an eerie silence throughout the land of waves. Sensors cannot detect his corrupting chakra, and hasn't been able in some years. Has he moved on to other lands and terrorize them. Whether the reason, this only raises more alarms behind the growing mystery and myth of Mabora and whether he still exists or not.
