Name: Alexis Snow Nickname(s): Alex, Lexi Age: 17/Turning 18 Gender: Female Race: Human Personality: Extremely stubborn, which in some circumstances can be her biggest flaw. When she sets on her mind on something, she never gives up, she has trouble accepting other peoples advice, and tends to do her own thing her own way and deals with the consequences later. But because of her stubbornness she is a great friend. Loyal to and protective of anyone she cares about, and willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy and keep them safe. She likes getting her way, and gets pretty annoyed when she doesn't. Generally friendly to everyone, and isn't easily angered or embarrassed. Bio: The last remaining descendent of Alexander Snow. The man who -many generations ago- rose up in rebellion against the demons that plagued the earth, and saved humanity from extinction. Legend has it he also sold his soul to a demon. Although no one knows exactly what kind of deal was struck between Alexander and the demon, everyone seems to believe that the Snow family has been cursed ever since. Her fathers sudden and mysterious death only added hype to such rumours. At the time of her father's death Alex was too young to step up as the head of the family, so that role was passed to her mother until she had come of age. Since then one year has passed, and it's only one week before her eighteenth birthday. Other:-She hates being called Alexis. -Loves music, specifically rock/pop. -Enjoys reading, mainly fantasy/fiction. -She likes drawing, and is a pretty decent artist.

Upon the eighteenth birthday, the family Honor shifts between the father, the mother, and to the children of the era. The Honor however will be found deeper within thee children as they realize there placement within the world around them. To assist with that duty, and embrace the correct path a darker figure living among the shadows, but sees the light, must once again arise...
Something slipped through the shadows between two buildings at Alex's current school. A steady eye on her, at all times. She could even feel like something was watching her, observing her. Judging her from the shadows. However even if she turned, and looked in the direction from which It hid, there would be trace of it ever even being there. Not now, not during the daylight. But it was already almost sundown, and the night strives the dark, allowing things to go bump in the night with ease and agility... classes were at an end, Alex was to now go home, and at home It would be waiting, away from the eyes and ears of the watching enemy's that eyed her each day for the past few months...

Her last class of the day was finally drawing to an end. Alex sat at her desk staring intently at the clock on the wall, watching the hands tick by and counting down the minutes until the bell would ring indicating the end of the school day. Her history teacher; Mr. Harper, was pacing back and forth in front of the whiteboard at the front of the class, droning on and on. Alex wasn't really paying any attention. Her eyes no longer watching the clock, instead they were drawn towards the window. Towards a dark space between the gym and the auditorium. She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination playing tricks on her or not but she could have sworn something was there, watching her. Ever since her father died she had felt like someone, or something was out there, watching her every move. Over the past few months it had grown stronger, and now that it was so close to her birthday the feeling was almost over-whelming. Yet whenever she had searched around to try and find whatever it was that was causing that feeling, she couldn't find it. It was very unnerving to say the least. There was no telling how long she had been staring out the window, but when the bell finally rang it snapped her back to reality. Mr. Harper was wrapping up his lesson and assigning some homework for over the weekend. Alex quickly gathered up her things and headed for the door. Brushing past a few of her friends that had gathered there and offering them a hasty farewell as she rushed out of the school and down the street towards her house. She figured it would be worth a shot trying to talk to her mother about these strange feelings she was getting. She had tried it once but her mother had just laughed it off and told she was being paranoid. But Alex knew she was hiding something, and today she wasn't going to let up on it until she got the answers she wanted. Running most of the way home, she made it there in record time, but she didn't stop to catch her breath until she made it up to her bedroom. After shutting the door behind her, she dumped her bag on the bed and walked over to closet. Stopping suddenly before she opened her closet door, her hand hovering over the handle. There was that feeling again, but much, much stronger now, and this time when she turned to look in the direction it was coming from, there was actually something there. Yuji jr My posts probably won't always be this long, but I'll try to make them as interesting as possible.

Two glowing Golden eyes, wide black slits within the center was staring at the girl. Any lights in the room flickered on and off, just enough where she could see a shape of someone, at least it looked like a person. But nothing more. He stood far to the side of the room, the window open behind him, over next to her bed. "Alexis Snow..." a whispering voice replied. But clearly male. The eyes turned from wide into a almost glare, "your mother cannot tell you all the answers you seek. You must embrace them on you own, just as your father, and his father had done." The voice replied as the figure glanced to the door, "tonight is the starting night of the ritral that forms our pact. On your birthday, to the except second you will be targeted by enemys that live umong the shadows. Enemys that had watched you closely, but were unable to go near thanks to me." He spoke in a sense it was a riddle, as if she would know something already. But was this a warning he was telling her, or was there more too it. He looked back to her waiting for a response. Those creepy glowing eyes, staring her down like a hawk ready to pounce...

A pair of bright golden eyes stared back at her from across the room. They seemed to stare right through her and into her soul, sending a cold shiver down her spine. From what she could see, this creature whatever it was, appeared to be human, or at least in shape; It was pretty hard to make out anything else since the lights in her room were flickering on and off. And although it only spoke in a whisper it's voice was clear enough that she could tell it was male. Her eyes were locked onto his gaze, unable to break away. Both in fear and in awe. Her breathing was erratic and her heart pounded loudly and rapidly in her chest, making it hard to think clearly. But at least her fear took her focus away from the flickering lights, which were starting to give her a head ache. The door to her room was only a few feet away. If she was fast enough she could make a break for it. But she would have to be smart about it. She needed to catch him off guard, but she wasn't sure how. Perhaps if she tried going along with whatever sort of game he was playing? Just long enough for him to let his guard down, and then she could make her escape. She managed to break her eyes away from him just long enough to glance at the door. Quickly checking to see if the path way was clear, before she returned her attention to him. Watching him closely. The path was clear, at least clear enough that she wouldn't trip over anything along the way. Now she just needed to play it cool until she had her chance. Alex took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to calm herself down a little. She had never been a very good actor, so she wasn't sure how well this would turn out but she was willing to try anything at this point. In her mind this was a life or death situation, since she assumed that this person was just messing with her head before he killed her. All this talk about "rituals" and "enemies that live among the shadows" didn't make any sense to her. Although something he had said did pique her interest slightly. Enough to get a verbal response from her, despite how terrified she was. "What do you know about my father?"

"A good man, fearless. Strong willed, and slightly humorus even in the darkest of battles," the figure replied. "I liked him, far better then your grandfather." There was a sense of remorse in those eyes as finally the light bulb popped and they were in complete darkness, other then the glowing eyes that was fixed on her. "I understand you are confused as of this moment. That my words have no much meaning right now, but they will in time." He moved a bit to looked at a picture in a small frame on top of Alex's dresser, "I assume you do not know who I am, or why I'm here by the tone of you voice?" He looked her direction and slowly put the frame down again, "mistress..." he replied slowly so that the word would sink into her thoughts of escaping.

Hearing him talk so fondly of her father seemed to sooth her fears slightly. Seeing the small glimpse of emotion in his eyes helped too. If all of this was just an act, she had to give him credit for it because it was pretty good. She was still quite scared, but curious at the same time. He seemed to know a lot about her family and their history. She had so many questions she wanted to ask him. But before she had the chance the light bulb suddenly popped, making her jump slightly. She managed to recover from that quickly though. Even though the whole room was shrouded completely in darkness, she was still able to follow his movements by watching his eyes. And considering she new this room like the back of her hand she had a good idea of where he was standing. Probably not too far from her dresser, which thank-fully was still on the other side of them room. The distance between them was a little comforting at least. "Earlier you mentioned something about "enemies that live among the shadows" Are the-" She had wanted to know if the enemies he had mentioned had something to do with her father's death. The doctors had ruled it down to a simple heart-attack, but Alex had her suspicions. Unfortunately, before she could finish the question, there came a knock at her door. She knew exactly who it would be. She moved swiftly towards the door, wanting to get their quickly in case he tried anything. Opening it so only her face was visible, which was quite hard because the only source of light was coming from the hallway. Sure enough, standing on the other side was her mother. "Alexis, darling. Why on earth is it so dark in your room? Is everything okay?" She made a move to come inside but Alex stopped her. She didn't want her mother getting involved. "Everything's fine, I'm just..Watching a movie" Her mother frowned, causing her to worry slightly that she might not have brought that excuse, but after awhile she just nodded and smiled. "Very well then. I just wanted to let you know dinner will be ready in a few minutes" With that her mother turned and walked away. Alex sighed a breath of relief and then quickly closed the door again. For a moment she had forgotten he was even there, that was until he said something that made her shudder. It was more the way he had said it than what he said, it was kind of creepy. "Mistress...?

The figure gave a understanding nod as snow turned around to face him again, "your mother was married in, so she doesn't know of what she has become part of. However, that keeps her safe I presume." He gave a point to the light bulb that popped with a board look, "I apologize about the lights... I don't really like them that much. Hurts my eyes." He didn't want to mention what or who he was just yet. He hoped it would be smarter to slowly bring the girl up to speed. "The enemies I speak of are the ones your vary father and grandfather had risked there own lives to slay in order to make sure that they do not take over the earth." He stepped closer, "Demons." His eyes flashed a little and widened again, "Do you believe in monsters that go bump in the night Alex Snow?"

She had had her chance to escape and had blown it, but for a very good reason at least. If she had of burst out of her room at that moment she would have risked putting her mother in danger, and if anything had happened to her because of that, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for it. Alex still didn't trust him. There was something off about him. Something dark and sinister almost, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She knew for a fact that he wasn't human though, and that was unsettling enough, but apart from that, she knew nothing. That was until he finished talking, and after analysing over everything he had said up to that point, she started to piece it all together in her head. "Oh my gosh, you...You're one of them aren't you?" And of course by "them" she meant, demons. She hadn't thought of it until he said it, but it made sense to her. That's how he had snuck into her room without anyone noticing. That also explained his peculiar bright golden eyes, and the fact that he liked to lurk around in the dark, and why the lights hurt his eyes. It was also the most logical reason she could think of that he could be old enough to know both her father and her grandfather. If she didn't trust him before, she certainly didn't trust him now. As he took another step closer, she in turn took another step back. Unfortunately she didn't have anywhere to go. The door was right behind her, and by stepping back she was now pressed right up against it, and the handle was digging into her lower back. It was uncomfortable but she wasn't going to move. She wanted to be as far away from him as possible. The only thing that was stopping her from running out of her room, besides her mother, was her curiosity. It didn't matter how scared she was, she knew he had answers. The answers she had been searching for for a long time, and now that she had this opportunity to get said answers, she wasn't just going to throw it away. Besides, considering how many opportunities he had had to kill her, he hadn't tried anything. And who knows how long he had been waiting in her house before she got home, but her mother was still alive. So she could be thankful for that at least. On that thought, something else suddenly clicked inside her head. She remembered the feeling she had gotten after she entered her room. That same feeling she had been getting for almost a year. "You're the one who has been watching me all this time?" If that was true then it seemed he had been involved in her life for a lot longer than she realised. Which only raised more questions than answers. "Why are you only revealing yourself now? And why me?"

The golden eyed man finally smiled, "that is the questions I've been waiting for." He nodded, "I am indeed a demon of a sort. But I'm a little different then the ones out to get you so to speak. I'm a Deamon, the A in the term stands for a demon with emotion. You see when someone finishes there life here on earth, they are judged by their sin's or praze. I fyou have more sin you will go to hell, where there are seven layers. The greatest amount of your sin's will be measure to how deep you go. The ones with a lot of praze become angel's and join the light above in the sky. And then there are demons. We are judged for what we've done, to a different level entirely. We are granted a second life to suffer our sin's and praze for all eternity, feasting of the souls of the living, or making deals to make it more interesting..." He pulsed.
He thought about it and continued, "when there is a lot of praze though and certain matters met, a demon is reborn as a Deamon however. One that still has emotion left from there old life. Forced to embrace the other side of the coin and feel all the horrors, fear, love, and such of it all. But we are also, the ones that understand the humanic nature of the living world. Before I answer your other questions however, for they go into more detail of myself and what it has to do with you, do you have any questions concerning what a demon is, or why they are what they are?" He awaited patiently.
((you are really good at this ^W^))

The darkness in the room wasn't so much of a problem any more. The light from the moon and the street lamps outside her house seeped in through the window and helped her eyes to adjust. Aside from his bright glowing eyes, she could just faintly make out some sort of silhouette of him. It still didn't offer much in the way of appearance, but it was easier for Alex to keep a close eye on the demon -or deamon as he called himself- while she took a moment to process everything he had said. All of this new information was really baffling, she still wasn't sure if she believed anything he was saying, but she hadn't been presented with any evidence not to. Everything that had happened since she had gotten home from school only seemed to support it. "So.." It was all she could manage to say at that point, which was quite frustrating for her since there were so many questions she wanted to ask, she just couldn't seem to get them into words. They were just a big muddled mess in her head. Up until about an hour ago the most she thought of monsters and demons and such were just stories that parents made up to scare their children into behaving, but now it seems she was wrong. Everything she was lead to believe was all wrong. It was all very confusing and scary at the same time. Just her luck, when the poor girl was looking for a normal transition into adult hood something like this would happen. She didn't realise stepping up as head of the family would be so complicated. If she had the choice then she would refuse to have any part in it, but she didn't. Her eyes had been opened to a whole new view of the world she lived in. And this new world would no doubt require her to grow up a lot faster than what she was originally comfortable with. Her life, from the moment she had been born, was never going to be normal. She wished so much that her father was there to help her, but if he was then she wouldn't be in that situation. There was an almost unbearable feeling of pain and sorrow welling up inside. It always happened when she thought about her father, and it probably always would no matter how much time passed since his death. The two of them had been so close when she was younger. She felt like she was going to cry, which she hated doing in front of other people, so she had to bite her lip to stop the tears from forming in her eyes. Once the feeling had passed, Alex realised she was no longer even looking in the direction of the deamon. She had completely zoned out and was staring at the wall above her bed. Her posture had also changed slightly, she was a little more relaxed and wasn't leaning up against the door as hard. As a result the handle was no longer digging into her back, but she could still feel it was there. Even though the feeling was gone she still didn't feel confident talking, so in response to his question she just shook her head. Yuji jr Really? Well thanks. ^.^ You're pretty good yourself. I was actually kind of worried I wasn't doing a good enough job of keeping it interesting for you.

The deamon nodded, "vary well then i'll continue to answer you other questions. I have indeed been the one watching you for a long time now. Protecting you from those they feel they can break the rules and attack you before your 18th birthday. Why? Because your bloodline is special. A bloodline of Demon Slayer. Best of the best, and I my new mistress, am here to assist you as I have your father and grandfather. In only a few days, your Slayer Blood will activate. You will start sensing demons when they are close, things will seem... like another world to you. And your family bloodline is vary famous to the demon world, if they eat your soul, everything your family line has done to protect the world will be lost." He walked closer, but not enough to scare her, "your father was a great man, and fought hard and true. I have made a deal with your great great grandfather in order to protect each generation. And I've fought by each members side all the way down the tree to you. When you father died, he was worried about you..." he tone changed and he looked away, turning and stepping away from her a little as if in thought, "he asked me to do one final thing for him, when I met you." He looked to her, "to not only fight by your side, but to teach you. Protect you, and make sure that you were able to cope and by what you want, and need to be." He smiled, "My name is Fergrutious Gerb Trkraiin. You may call me Rain," he took a knee and bowed his head, "and from this day forward I am your personal Deamon. To guide, protect, server, and fight for you, with you and till the next generation comes. From this day forward, you are my Mistress..." He kept his head bowed, and awaited for a response. Of course there was a lot more she could learn, a lot more to explain and be told. But for now, one step at a time. She had to accept him, for him to truly help her.

Alex cleared her thoughts as much as she could, pushing aside all the questions she had, so she could listen intently to everything he had to say and take it all in. She was afraid, she could admit that, but that wasn't going to let that stop her from stepping up and accepting her destiny. Even if that meant taking on responsibility for the rest of the world, which essentially is what it meant to be a demon slayer, at least from what she understood of it. Just like all the generations before her, it was her turn now. This is what she was born for. It was comforting for her, to know her life actually had some purpose, even a little exciting. The idea of becoming a bad-a** demon slayer was quite thrilling, but that didn't mean she wouldn't take it seriously. One thing did confuse her still though. She couldn't understand why a deamon would aid humans in killing demons. Although he had mentioned that deamons were different because they still had the sense for emotions, and could understand the "humanic nature" of the world. So maybe he sympathized with the humans? It made sense but she still wasn't 100% convinced that was the whole story. However, that was a question better suited for another time. She wasn't sure how to react when he took a knee, never having been in any sort of situation like that before. She could only follow what her gut was telling her. On a whim Alex stepped forward and offered him her open hand, the only way she could think to show him she accepted him. His name was incredibly long, she was glad he had given her an alternative she was sure she would never remember it otherwise. She wasn't even sure how to pronounce it. However, the alternative was still a little weird in her opinion. She would have to remember to ask him about that later as well, but only if she was sure he wouldn't mind. So far he seemed fine with answering her questions, but none of them had been anything personal about him. Alex shook her head a little to snap herself out her thoughts and bring her back into the moment. "Rain" She smiled, softly. The first time she had smiled since meeting him, it felt nice. "From now on just call me Alex, okay? Mistress just doesn't sound right"The whole experience had been quite humbling, and although she still couldn't bring herself to trust him completely, she did feel significantly more comfortable in his presence. She knew that was something she was going to have to work on for their partnership to work more smoothly, but it would take time.

Rain lifted his head as he took her hand, "Vary well." He chuckled, "I didn't think you would actually believe me as easily however. It took three years for your father to accept me, and I had to repeat everything, every single night." He gave a odd chuckle and stood, "well then Miss Alex go on downstairs and get your meal. Remember that with such intentions you must know what to keep secrete and how. Also remember that the true beginning will not be until the day of your 18th birthday. I will be within the shadows watching, until then. Just in case, for your own safety." He turned and headed towards the window. Some would try and kill her before her bloodline truly activated. He would have to hold them off just a few more days on his own. As he hopped up onto the window sill in a crouch he gave one finale look back, those large eyes looking to her with wonder. And he leaped, disappearing into the night without a trace...

Alex rolled her eyes. Miss Alex didn't sit so well with her either, but it was much better than mistress. She was going to say something about it, but decided she couldn't be too picky about it and just left it alone. She watched him leave before she made her way down to the dinning room to join her mother for dinner. She made it down just in time it seemed, as her mother was just dishing up. She had made spaghetti bolognese, her favourite. Her mother made sure to give her a decent helping of it on her plate. Even though she might not look like it, Alex could eat quite a lot. Alex took her time eating, since she wasn't very tired and wasn't in any rush to get to sleep because it was the weekend. She enjoyed talking with her mother as well, she couldn't remember the last time they had had the opportunity to spend this much time together and it was nice. They talked mainly about her birthday that was coming up in a few days, which she wasn't all that excited for any more. She was careful not to bring up anything that she shouldn't have, just like Rain had said. If keeping it a secret would keep her mother safe then she would take it with her to the grave. After helping clean up the dishes and such, Alex headed back up to her room and got ready for bed. Her mind was still racing after everything that had happened, she still couldn't quite get her head around it. She lay in bed for the next few hours, staring mindlessly at the ceiling. Until eventually she couldn't fight it any long and she gave into the desire to sleep. The idea of someone observing her from the shadows was still kind of creepy. But even with that thought in mind she sept quite peacefully. ~Time-skip till morning~ Alex woke with a start the next morning to the sound of her alarm, she forgot she had set it to daily, so it still went off on the weekends in stead of just on week days. She grumbled loudly in annoyance as she rolled over and flicked the switch to turn it off. It was still only the very early hours of the morning, no later than six am. She wasn't much of a morning person, the only exception being school. Plus with everything that was going on, like the planning for her birthday, Alex was going to take sometime to just relax and enjoy some more sleep. After she had sorted out her alarm, and made sure it wouldn't disturb her slumber again for at least a couple more hours, she rolled back over, closed her eyes, and started to drift off once again.
