After a while of exploring Kin Jiro realizes that he’s hopelessly lost so he decides to find something to do to keep himself busy. Seeing as thinking about how lost he is isn’t going to help him get anywhere especially home. Of course, he does enjoy chewing so maybe he can find something new and interesting to chew on to pass the time. Not really bothered that he strayed too far from home because he’s sure he’ll get back to his family sooner or later. Kin Jiro is young, adventurous, and has a slightly risky side to him so he’s sure he’ll end up in some sort of trouble. Or he might just find a place to stay at while one of his family members looks for him since he really isn’t sure which way leads home. As far as he knows he’s cute enough that someone would feel sorry enough to take him home and pretend they are his for the time being. Though his confidence and cuteness will only get him so far in life so if it doesn’t work this time he’ll need to come up with something else. Something about him that another would like enough to take him home while he waits for someone to find him. Shaking his head he keeps walking on the path through the large trees unsure where he’s going or where he’ll end up. Kin Jiro knows is that he has to meet someone sooner or later as long as he keeps walking in one direction. He also knows his name, who his family is, and what direction he’s going in which is good enough for him.

Victor jumps from the branch he’s on to another one that isn’t too far away because he’s afraid he’ll fall. Even though he enjoys jumping from branch to branch he always makes sure they are close enough to each other that he’ll land on all four paws. Seeing as he’s gotten high enough that if he does fall he’ll be injured which isn’t something he wants to think about. As he jumps from branch to branch he hears something below the branch that he’s on and decides to stop for now. Looking down he sees someone his age so Victor watches him walk in one direction which means one of two things. He knows where he is going and wants to get there without getting lost and or he’s already lost and trying to head in one direction. Having a good enough chance at getting somewhere without getting himself lost any further or so he hopes. Looking around he doesn’t see anyone else with him so Victor carefully makes his way down without making any mistakes. The last thing he wants to do is slip and hurt himself and or slip and land on them because he could hurt both the stranger and himself. Getting to the lowest branch he readies himself and then leaps onto his back at an angle so his front paws make contact with the other’s shoulders. Causing them to roll around a bit before coming to a complete stop a good distance away. Leaping off his back he lands gracefully enough before turning to brightly smile at him while looking him over to make sure he’s alright. Once he sees nothing out of place he stares deeply into his eyes almost hypnotized, "You have such lovely purple irises, red ears, and such interesting markings. I must say that I’ve never seen anyone like you before, though, it’s defiantly not a bad thing. Of course, you are the first I’ve ever meet so I’m not sure if that is saying much on my part." Blushing a bit he hopes he didn’t make a fool out of himself since first impressions sound important for some reason. "My names Victor Valentine, though, you can just call me by my first name or even by my last if you prefer. Can we be friends? We can play all sorts of fun games while we get to know each other a bit better." As he innocently blinks a few times with a slight pout he hopes it’s enough, "That and I have no home, no family that I know of, and no friends. I’m also sorry if I upset and or hurt you when I pounced on your back and we rolled for a while. My intention wasn’t to upset and or hurt you for any reason."

As Kin Jiro sits he thinks about how to answer Victor who is very colorful, bright, talkative, and sad. He shrugs, "At this moment I have no place to go either seeing as I’m hopelessly lost because I wandered too far from home. Though, with my cuteness and your extra cute and sad self I am now one hundred percent sure that we’ll get a place to stay if we work together. So don’t worry too much about slightly bruising me because you can help me find someone to take us home. Once one of my family members finds me I’ll have to go home, though, you could probably stay with whoever we find. I’m sure they will be sweet enough to let you live with them and let me visit whenever I want to." Looking at Victor more closely he notices that his irises are three colors then remembers he hasn’t introduced himself, "My name is Kin Jiro and I don’t have a last name like you do, though, you can call me Kin or Jiro if you prefer. Since you pointed out that you never saw anyone like me I guess I should point out that I never saw anyone like you. You have so many bright colors, so many hearts, and so many colors in your irises which are almost hypnotizing if I got the word right." While he sways back and forth he almost seems to be going into a trance before he falls forward which brings him out of it. Having further bruised his forelegs, neck, and chin he blushes while trying to stand up only to end up falling to the right. After that he slowly stood up while steadying himself before he tries not to stare too deeply into those eyes of his. "Of course we can be friends and playing games to get to know each other better sounds fun. Though, I must admit I enjoy chewing on things and creatures that I find interesting and wonder if you do the same?" Before Victor can answer Kin Jiro walks close enough to him so he can playfully chew on his right ear while he waits for Victor to answer.

Having seen him fall over he was worried, though, when Kin Jiro got up he knew he would be alright. Though, he was still worried because he said he was slightly bruised and is probably slightly more bruised now. As Kin Jiro gently chews on his ear he giggles, "I must be interesting enough for you to chew on me, though, I don’t know how I should feel. Should I feel shocked, happy, confused, and or a mixture of all three because you find me interesting and you’re chewing on me." While blushing he replies, "I never thought of my irises being hypnotizing, though, I know you got the word right I’m just not sure how I know. Anyways, it’s cool that you have two first names and if I ever have children I would want at least one of them to have two first names." Deeply thinking he wonders what sort of game they could play while looking for someone to take them both in. "Oh, what if we play some sort of guessing game to try learning more about each other? And to answer your question I chew on anyone that chews on me so I guess I also chew on creatures that are interesting." Giggling a bit more he shakes his head a bit to play around with Kin Jiro before getting a hold of his right ear so he can chew on him. After a while he stops to reply, "I’m glad you have a family and home, as well as thrilled that you will help me find a place to live, and happy that we can work together. The more the merrier which means the faster we find someone the sooner we can call a place home or a home away from home for you." Leaping into Kin Jiro they roll around as they continue to gently and playfully chew on each other.

After rolling around while chewing on each other for who knows how long Kin Jiro gets up while smiling brightly. Having had such a good time playing with someone his age he had forgotten to answer him. "I’m sure we’ll find someone before it gets dark out, though, I hope you aren’t afraid of the dark or large and frightening creatures. Seeing as I wouldn’t be much help if we did come across a creature larger than us because I’m not great with defending myself just yet. Maybe if the creature is our size we would have better luck with defending ourselves, though, anything larger and I’m not too sure how well I could defend myself. That way it would give you time to get someplace hopefully safer if we do encounter someone not so nice. Of course, if you leapt from a tree branch you could defiantly help me because they would be too busy trying to shake you off. The way you held onto me after you leapt onto my back proves that you could hold on to someone else if you have to for a long enough time. Though this is only if we can’t find a place to stay because I don’t hear anyone in this area so far. Yet, I am still one hundred percent sure that any nice creature that we meet will want to take us home with them because they couldn’t leave us out here. We are just too cute together which should help us, don’t you agree?" Quickly walking over Kin Jiro rolls Victor onto his back before sitting on Victors gut to think aloud. Never realizing that he might have hurt him since guts can be rather sensitive. "If I had children I think I would also want at least one of them to have two first names. Of course, I won’t know if the child will have a last name unless my Mate has a last name. I just won’t know until I am much older which won’t be anytime soon, though, I can plan ahead of time I guess." As he continues to sit on Victors gut he forgets that he’s sitting on his friend because he’s too comfortable and thinking too deeply about the future to think about the here and now.

Whimpering from the weight of his friend he replies, "Hey, I might have hearts all over me, though, that doesn’t give you the right to squish me like this." Rolling over causes Kin Jiro to fall off and onto his back where he doesn’t stay very long because he gets up to look at him apologetically. With a roll of his eyes and a sly smile, "Yes, I agree that we are too cute together. I’m sure we are cute enough so before long someone will take us home with them when they find out we have no place to stay tonight. Even if you have a home you have no idea where it is so you can’t get back there and I have no home." Carefully looking around he realizes that it’ll get dark sooner or later before he looks at Kin Jiro, "I’m only half afraid of the dark while the other half is because of the creatures that lurk in the dark. Those creatures might be willing to hurt us which sounds worse now that I’ve said it aloud." Smiling brightly, "Of course, you did help me feel a bit better when you said how I could hold onto someone for a while. So far you are my only friend so I feel rather safe with you around because we can at least try to defend ourselves and each other. Which means if you need help of any kind I’ll be more than willing to help you. Because that’s what friends do, they help each other when things get tough." Shaking his head because his gut still hurts, "I can’t believe you sat on my gut while thinking aloud for a while and then thinking to yourself. Really, my gut may be soft and squish-able, though, it should never be sat upon for any reason." With another whimper Victor sits down to rub his gut a bit since it really did hurt to have Kin Jiro sitting on him.

Kin Jiro whimpers since he didn’t realize he was hurting his friend so he walks over to him to make sure he’s alright. As he sits down he begins to cuddle him hoping it will make him feel a bit better since it must have really hurt him. Yet, Victor had been so quite so Kin Jiro really did forget he was sitting on him and didn’t realize how painful that could be. "I guess I should be thinking about other things like chewing on you some more once your gut feels better. I never meant to hurt you I just got carried away with my thoughts so I didn’t remember that I sat on you." Snuggling close to Victor he whimpers, "I’m truly sorry that I hurt you, I’ll try my best to never hurt you again. That and your gut really is soft and squish-able so it’s easy to accidentally easy hurt you. Which must mean that my gut is just as soft and squish-able as your gut is?" Looking up he smiles, "I have an idea I’ll climb up a tree so I can see if there might be someone nearby that looks friendly enough. While you can stay down here to rest a while so your gut feels better soon because when someone is sick or hurt they need to rest to get better." After snuggling Victor one last time he races over to the closest tree and when he gets closer he begins to climb up getting higher and higher. Once Kin Jiro reaches one of the highest branches that he feels comfortable on he walks out enough to look around. When someone walks near a bridge he knows it will take them a while to get to the bridge to ask them. Though it will be worth it if they take them home since he doesn’t see anyone else in the area. Of course, they must live nearby if they took the time to walk here and walk back.

Looking up at Kin Jiro he calls out, "Can you see anyone nearby? If you do see anyone are they close enough to walk to? Because I’m not sure I can run after being sat on, of course, I’m not blaming you. I forgive you for siting on my gut seeing as you were deeply thinking about something. That and I’m more concerned about it getting dark out than you squishing me." As he lays down he whimpers from how much it hurts, though, it could have been worse somehow. While lying there he waits for Kin Jiro to reply and or come back down to show him the way to someone else in this area. Yet, he’s worried he might not have spoken loud enough for Kin Jiro to hear him because his gut still hurts it hurts for him to talk. Having nothing else to do he lets his thoughts wander just enough as he waits for Kin Jiro to reply or come down. Seeing as Victor wants to be able to hear Kin Jiro’s reply if he really did hear him because if he doesn’t reply Kin Jiro will worry about him.

Looking down Kin Jiro knows he should go down to talk with him because he can also comfort him better down there. Even if Victor doesn’t blame him for what happened he still blames himself because it was his fault. Then quickly glancing in the direction of the adult he wonder how he could get their attention. One, they are too far away so screaming won’t get their attention. Two, they are walking away from them so they won’t be able to see him even if he had something to reflect light. Three, he doesn’t have anything to throw that would go far enough to reach them to get their attention. Before Kin Jiro can do anything the adult stops seeming to have forgotten something. Very carefully he watches the direction they are going in to make sure they can try getting to them before they leave to go home. After finding out what he needs to know he quickly turns around to make his way down while jumping from branch to branch as quickly and carefully as he can manage. Before long he’s sitting next to Victor giving him snuggling him, "Alright, we can both blame me because it was my fault and I’m not going to feel better until you feel better. Of course you should feel somewhat better because I did see an adult in this area. The best news is they forgot something so they had to turn around which gives us a slight chance to catch up to them. Which means I can carry you on my back while running in that direction since I should be able to get us close enough before stopping to climb another tree. I want to make sure I can see them so I know we are going in the right direction since it’s going to be getting dark soon." Looking up at the sky he almost mumbles to himself, "It doesn’t look like it’s getting too dark too quickly so we have enough time to find the adult that I saw."

While looking up at the sky Victor agrees with a slight nod of his head before he climbs onto Kin Jiro’s back. That way they can get there a lot sooner to hopefully meet up with the adult that Kin Jiro had seen. Even if they can find the adult he still wonders if they will be willing to help them even if they explain what’s going on. As Kin Jiro stands up Victor is startled from his thoughts as Kin Jiro races in the direction of the adult. Even with extra weight on his back he seems to be going at a fast enough pace or at least faster than Victor thought. Making him realize that Kin Jiro is at running than he is which might explain why he said he’d distract any dangerous creature so Victor could get to safety. Then again, if something does happen Victor knows that Kin Jiro can get to him before anything serious happens. Being so strong and fast Kin Jiro would be able to get to Victor just in time to save him. If Victor was injured he knows that Kin Jiro would still be able to run fast to get him away from whoever hurt him. Seeing as Kin Jiro can carry someone his own size and weight while still being fast enough to get away. While Victor’s thoughts wander Kin Jiro keeps running while getting that much closer to the bridge. Victor shakes his head a bit before he looks around, "If you want me to blame you I can, though, it makes me feel strange to blame you because I don’t think I like blaming others. Even if they deserve to be blamed I don’t feel like I could unless they ask me to and or they did something really bad. Say they bite me hard enough to draw blood I would blame them until after the wound and or wounds heal as long as they apologizes and meant it. Other than that I’m not good with blaming others just because they let their mind wander." Squishing himself down he tries to help Kin Jiro to run faster if there is less resistance against the wind. That and the heat of his body seems to make his gut feel somewhat better.

Getting hallway to the bridge Kin Jiro begins to slow down and before long stops to catch his breath. After a few seconds pass he smiles while looking over his right shoulder, "That makes sense that you don’t want to blame me because I didn’t make you bleed when I bit you or sat on your gut. Since I don’t bite the ones I like hard I will never accidentally make you bleed by biting you. Which makes me feel better that you will only blame someone for certain reasons and if you really don’t want to blame me you don’t have to." Giggling a bit he gives Victor a playful sort of smile, "I guess you know who would win if we played tag, don’t you? Without you on my back I can run twice as fast which means it’ll be boring if I tag you and then race away. So if we ever do play tag I would have to remember to only run fast enough so you don’t become discouraged after I tag you. Of course, I’m sure you can play games that don’t involving running such as hide and seek because you are probably better at hiding than I am. When you were in that tree I didn’t hear you when you were getting closer to me which is why I was startled. After that we rolled for so long that when we finally stopped I was no longer startled because you obviously didn’t mean to hurt me." Tilting his head a bit, "If anyone does draw blood from you do I have permission to do the same to them? Or start a fight with them to show them that I didn’t appreciate that they hurt you? I know you can defend yourself, though, we can defend each other because that’s what friends do. That way we won’t have to worry too much about someone hurting the other because we will always be there to help each other." Laying down Kin Jiro gently helps Victor off so he can continue to snuggle him before going to the nearest tree. As he climbs up he wonders if the adult he saw earlier is close enough for him to see. If they had gotten what they forgot and walked back Victor and Kin Jiro would be ahead of them getting to the bridge. While if they got what they forgot and ran back the adult would be at the bridge before them. If not already on their way home which means they would be out of luck with finding a place to stay tonight. So the quicker he can find them the quicker they can get to them if he can run any further after climbing both up and then back down the tree. And he’s already run this far so he’s not really prepared to run once he does get back to the ground below.

As Victor watches Kin Jiro climb up the tree it makes him wonder how strong he’ll get if he trains with Kin Jiro. Being as fast and as strong as he is, well, he has to train once a day or more because Victor isn’t even half as fast or strong as he is. Once they find a place to stay he’ll ask Kin Jiro if he can train him each and every day until he’s faster and stronger. That way if anything happens when they are older he’ll be fast enough to help Kin Jiro if someone tries to attack him. Or get to someone else since he’s sure Kin Jiro won’t be the only one he’ll ever meet as he grows up. While sitting down he hears something move in the bushes not too far away and before long Kin Jiro is by his side ready for to attack. His ears are back, fur spiked, and fangs clenched to show that he’s ready to right if they are here to harm either or both of them. If he looks more threatening than the creature in the bush they might think twice about approaching them with bad intentions and or attacking them. After several minutes pass by Victor gently bumps Kin Jiro, "I’m sure that if they wanted to harm either of us they would have shown themselves when we first heard them in the bush. Anyways, if we have time to stay here than maybe we can play a bit more, roll around, and or chew on each other’s ears for a while. Mostly because the adult that came back for something could have come and gone before we got here because their legs are longer. Which means they can get places quicker because they are tall, faster, and stronger than we are. Isn't that right?" Victor innocently looks at Kin Jiro as he waits for his answer because he’s only fifty percent sure he’s right.

While letting his guard down he leaps at Victor causing them both to roll around a bit while chewing on each other’s ears. What seems like minutes later is really half an hour later when the stranger walks over to them getting only close enough. Seeing as she saw how the one reacted when she was looking through around the bushes for what she had left behind. Neither of them notice her because they are playing so the only ones here as far as they are concerned are each other. That is until Kin Jiro gently pins Victor to the ground while brightly smiling and slightly trying to catch his breath. That’s when he sees very red paws out of the corner of his right eye and as he looks over Victor does the same. Seeing as those red paws are not more than four feet away from them and neither of them had heard her walking towards them. As Kin Jiro and Victor look into her eyes they remember that the only stranger they meet so far was each other until they became friends. So they are both unsure about what to do while curious to see if she is just as friendly as they are. Blinking a few times Kin Jiro finally asks her while looking into her eyes, "Who are you and what’s your name? Earlier I had climbed a tree to look for someone and I saw you about to cross the bridge to head home. Then you stopped, turned around, and went back because you forgot something. Whatever you went back for must have been important or you would have left it and kept here and continued walking." Kin Jiro steps in front of Victor just in case she isn’t friendly and they need to defend each other as well as themselves if need be. When he sees the messenger bag he replies, "I didn’t see that earlier which means that you were picking mint and for some reason you forgot your messenger bag behind. It’s so fresh that I can smell it from here and a few are sticking out which is also how I know it’s mint because I’ve seen and smelled it before."

Ruby blushes as she replies after hearing that he had seen her stop before she got to the bridge, "Oh my, don’t tell me you really saw me at that bridge? You had to have climbed way too high in that tree if you were able to see me. Which worries me because you don’t have wings and if something would have happened you would have seriously injured yourself if not gotten yourself killed. Though I have to admit you must be a good enough climber since you got up the tree safely and got back down it just as safely." Walking a bit closer she lifts her right paw up to lightly pat him on the head while thinking how cute his red ears and markings are. Then she sees his left back paw which is red and different from the rest, "Oh my, what have we got here, one red paw? Now isn’t that interesting and rather cute. I have to admit the two of you are rather cute, though, I might just be saying that because your both so young. Often times I find most young ones cute because I have yet to adopt and or have any of my own." Then reaching behind him she pats the other one on the head a few times adoring his heart markings and then thinking about the little red bat markings on the other one. While thoughts of bats in hearts float through her mind she doesn’t realize that they are both very alone. Ruby is always thinking of interesting and or strange combinations for interesting markings that she sees. After nodding her head she smiles, "I had forgotten my messenger bag so I had to come back to get it before I went home because I use the mint leaves for tea and backed goods. While walking around I had gotten lost so I climbed a tree to find out where I was and how to get back on the path. By the time I got back down I had forgotten all about my messenger bag somehow and didn’t remember until I reached the bridge." Looking from one to the other she asks, "Where are your Parents? They don’t seem to be close by or they would already be with you. Of course it doesn’t really matter because it’s going to get late which means I’ll be taking the two of you home with me where you will be safe and warm. I would never forgive myself if I left the two of you out here because I have a house big enough for company. Because I'm the only one that lives there so it'll be nice to have some company and even if I didn't have room I would still invite you to stay with me."

Playfully bumping into Kin Jiro he coos, "Guess we didn’t need to find her after all because she found us. That and she offered to take us home with her so that’s another thing we don’t have to worry about. I bet if we ask nicely enough she’ll even give us a ride home on her back because she really is a nice adult. Of course, I think we should introduce ourselves then she might do the same because I have no idea what to call her to thank her for her kindness." Turning his attention to Ruby he smiles, "My name is Victor Valentine with Victor being my first name and Valentine being my last and you can call me by either. It’s nice to meet you and I hope that you won’t mind if I live with you because I have no family or a home. Just today I made one friend and he’s here with me ready to protect me from any dangers creature that tries hurting me." He smiles brightly knowing that they have a safe place to spend the night, "I bet your house is very nice and that there are lots or breakable items that you own which means a lot for you to take us home. You don’t know much about us, though, you are willing to trust us not to break anything on purpose. Here I thought we might not catch up to you and that we would have to spend the night outside which sacred me." Walking over he jumps up to try chewing on her ear since that’s what Kin Jiro would do. That and he’s found out that chewing gently on others ears can be fun for a good while as long as the other doesn’t mind. It gives him something to do so that he doesn’t get into trouble even though he’s not the kind to get into much trouble if he can help it.
