Vitam Furari:
Vitam Furari, its literal translation meaning 'steal life', is a ringless black shakujo which can be used to either pummel creatures of Grimm with its surprisingly heavy staff or slice through them with sharpened, dark red tip.
Domus and Dofus:
Domus and Dofus are a pair of ornate, eight-point chakrams with small hollows embedded at the base of each point for dust to be inserted. They are primarily used as blades that can either be thrown or used as handheld weapons. Their secondary use is in sync with the Vitam Furari as its rings. When used this way, they can amplify and emit stored energy.
Auras/ Semblances:
Barrier Generation:
Vin has the ability to generate barriers that can either be used as shields, or as containment units. She is able to dictate what passes through her barriers and what does not. The barriers weaken with time, increase in the number of barriers, or increase in size of barriers. She is able to hold any barrier for approximately 5 hours with continuous concentration.
Energy Syphon:
By piercing the flesh of a Grimm with either her weapons or her own hands, Vin is able to drain a large amount of its vitality and store it as energy to be used later. However, she can only hold so much energy before she is unable to draw more. She is limited to draining the energy of Grimm around the estimated mass of 6-7 Beowolves. Stored energy can also only be held for up to an hour. The energy stored can be used to either enhance her physical strength and abilities or can be channeled into her barriers.

Bio
Growing up, Vin Rouge never had any interest in being a huntress. It never even crossed her mind that Grimm could even come after her specifically. Somewhere deep in the back of her naive and slightly self-righteous mind, Grimm attacks were something that happened to other people, so it wasn't her problem. Truly, she lived her childhood in a bubble of ignorance.
This changed the day her favorite aunt, Chocolat Blanc, was killed by an Ursa. Her aunt's death made Vin realize that anyone could be killed in this cold, cruel world, even her. Sudden, desperate fear for her life and the desire to avenge her aunt compelled Vin to learn the ways of the huntress. During her days at beacon, she studied especially hard to master the skills she would need on the field. Gone was the simple-minded, self-centered girl oblivious to the suffering of others. Now, she knew the fear and pain of the rest of the world, and knew that her happy life did not come without sacrifice. Vin resolved to protect the innocent, just as the brave hunters and huntresses before her did. When her team was given its first real mission, she was determined to complete it without fail.
Vin's team, however, rarely took anything seriously. Unlike herself, her team had yet to get the wake-up call that she did. They still lived in their bubbles of ignorance and didn't truly believe that they could be killed by the beasts. So, when the day of their mission came, they were severely unprepared, believing that their weapons as they were would be enough. The mission was simple enough, clear out a nasty Grimm that plagued a small village. All but Vin scoffed at the task, and set out immediately without so much as checking their weapons, a task that Vin had always been rather fond of and tried to convince her teammates to do, but to no avail. Her team joked the entire way, but when finally faced with their adversary, an impressive Death Stalker, the team froze. The battle ensued and Vin alone fought valiantly. When her team finally joined in, their dulled and neglected weapons had little effect on the beast before them. The Grimm was eventually killed, but the battle left Vin and two of her teammates severely injured and their team leader dead.
Disillusioned by the carelessness that led to the death of their leader, pursued her studies and training even harder, taking an especial interest in weaponry, even beyond the day of her graduation. She then applied to Beacon as a weapons specialist, determined to teach her students the importance of weapon maintenance and understanding, so that they might learn from her team's mistakes.
