I'm with Roxas on this. I want this guild to continue on and live, but it can't be done by one or two people. Come on guys, we can do this if we work together.

I do apologize for the wait on that. I did leave it in the hands of other moderators whilst I was undergoing some problems but I seem to have misplaced my faith. I hope you will forgive me.

The no guys rule may be lifting soon. With the event not progressing as quickly as I'd hoped, I think that maybe it is team to allow for male legacies again rather soon.

I really do want this guild to live, I love BB and would love the oppurtunity to rp him. Plus I know this rp means a lot to you Rox and you've helped me in the past so I want it to live, and if possible I'd be happy to lend a helping hand wherever possible.

While I have not yet had the chance to actually join in the rp festivities yet, it would be a major shame if it died before that could happen!

I've been extremely excited to interact with all of you lovely people, so keeping it alive would be really wonderful!

My votes to let it live.

It can't be done with one or two people,
but the whole event thing and then the
no guys legacies/any legacies at the moment
due to the event has really put a drag on the
guild. The event has become, and I hate to say it,
more like a dead, rotting limb that no one wants
to cut off even though it's been threatened many times.

And this is saying a lot, because I absolutely adore
the idea of the event and the whole story behind it,
but it's like a wasteland now. It's been weeks
and only today has there been enough progress
to garner going to the next floor.

And trust me, I want to roleplay here, but I can't
                because of these circumstances, so
as much as I would like to help keep the
activity flowing--to keep this place alive--
I'm powerless till the Titans patch surfaces
because I don't really have an interest in
playing a villain yet and, like many people,
a legacy would be ideal, especially since I've
had the profile for said legacy done for months now.

                [ edit ]
                I won't lie, I've considered quitting this
Sunday because I've been waiting for four
months to roleplay here and I honestly don't
want to wait till it reaches five. And the sad
part is, I really don't want to quit... But I don't think
anyone should be forced to wait that long and I don't think
anyone but me would be dumb enough to wait four
months to finally join a roleplay, but I've got all my
stuff finished and I don't want it to go to waste.
And, I hate to point it out, the four month waiting period
is a really poor reflection of the guild...

The homepage calls this place "a little family," when
"family" is far from how I'd phrase it after what I've experienced.
I feel like some second cousin five times removed and trapped in the
basement, only earning my keep through making graphics and
posting formats, which I have refrained from doing because I'm so
                peeved.

And while I didn't want to wave this grievance around
like some banner, it's really been a pretty crummy stay here...

I could say I want the guild to live. Honestly, however, this event has taken too long for me to say that I'm even interested in being a boss on the floors anymore. I never saw the appeal in it just being only certain people can become involved in the event as I'm one of the many who got put on hold with their heroes because they did not "fit in" the requirements. Furthermore, the entire concept about people needing to create females for an entire set amount of time has only made people back away from the guild. People can honestly vote that they want for it to live, but if things within the mod department do not change soon, the guild will continue to suffer from inactivity. This event was mainly catered to certain people rather than trying to find a way to keep everyone, if any, involved if they had so desired to.

My other issue is very common among everyone else and that is the matter of people only being required to make female legacies for a certain amount of time. While I initially agree that we do need more female patches and legacies, causing people to do make characters they are not comfortable with is not the route to go. Not everyone feels comfortable creating characters of different sexes and not everyone can pull that off initially.

Then there is also the matter that took place on Skype. I will say that numerous people saw several figures (of whom I will not name unless provoked) in different lights. Most of the guild's active community was on the chat and while many would like to assume this has been an issue that was swept under the rug, it has been an ongoing issue that more than likely will not recover itself as people no longer wish to even be in a guild around certain figures. As someone brought up before, this creates tension and will cause the guild to remain at a standstill. Nobody is going to see eye to eye because of them now perceiving each other in different lights. While I would like to be hopeful in that this guild can endure, this (the guild coming to a complete stand still) has happened twice, this being the second because of the exact same issues. Until people can learn to see eye to eye again, I don't see this happening and while we can put it to a vote, full on cooperation is required to keep things running else this will happen a third time.

Thank you for your honesty. I feel as though things have been like this for a long time and I had wanted the Event to run smoothly. It hasn't and I think you're right, it is time to amputate and I do not think we will be having events any time in the future. I think that they have proved more a problem than a boon and even though everyone claws to get it into them it only seems to be because they want it. It's like a dog chasing a car; once they get it they have no idea what to do with it.

The Titans Patch is coming by the end of the weekend, I have an idea for it that is in the working and I'll have to sit down and sacrifice what little remains of my weekend before I go back to work but I feel that Titans could be something fun to do.

I don't know if it'll work but at the moment, it could or couldn't. It's 50/50. So, I'd rather try.

As for the family thing, I'm sorry that you've felt that way. It was never my intention for things to last this long. You should have been rping a long time ago but with the mod situation and the event the mess that it is... I only have myself to blame for misplacing my trust.

I hope that Titans Together is to your liking.

The appeal of making it for certain people was more to get people whom wouldn't usually apply to apply. In this guild, I found that at some points it catered for only a select few people and I didn't really like that. I also thought that a small amount of people would help the event move quicker than say when we did Reign of Fear in V1 when we tried to include a whole guild that eventually ended up just being me versus Grogan. Y'know? I understand your complaint though and as Moderators we should have been willing to resolve a few things. We haven't. It's cost the guild a lot.

My only problem is that I do everything. I can't do that anymore with the job I have. I come home exhausted. I don't want to deal with this every single night, I want to know that Mods will step up to the plate and help me. This has only been the case with Master [Jack] and Dragoa. The rest haven't really done much and Witty went on hiatus because of this. He keeps trying to goad the mods into action after they all agreed to try and help but it's been a week and nothing. I started approving profiles. Some of them bragged about how much free time they had and then did nothing. Which was sad.

When it comes to the all female patch, it was a good idea for a while but due to the event became a bad idea. I stand by my decision to empower female rpers in our guild whom complained about the fact that they felt unheard and forgotten as I will do with anyone else who comes at me with the same grievances within reason. The only thing I will say is that if I do open the Titans Together Patch today and a lot of people apply for it and then don't post with their Legacy (which seems to happen a lot) then I feel as though it is unfair to blame the female only period. However, it shall be done.

As for the people who cause tension; if you have grievances with people even if it is with me let me know and I will see if mediation could be helpful. If it doesn't serve the purpose of relieving that anger or tension then... Well, you guys will have to be on your own. Some of people in this are 20+ year old MEN and WOMEN and I use the words men and women on purpose because that's what you are. You aren't boys anymore. You aren't girls with pigtails. I'm not going to make everyone like one and other and its not my job to. At our ages, we should be able to be civil with one and other maturely enough to avoid confrontation. Is that a fair assumption?

I wouldn't say no to events happening again because clearly
you guys have some really great ideas. This was just a fluke.
Lots of people went on hiatus, so lots of mods and folks who
were supposed to participate disappeared, making the event
extremely difficult to pull off. If events are nixed, I would stick
to maybe just having mini events, like a little side mission or
something, maybe even using NPC villains for characters not
yet taken for the purpose of said mini events (and then, of course,
dropping them when people want to play them), until the guild
builds up again?

By build up I mean get more active members. While there are
150 some odd members, but more than a 100 of them
are dead, which is a huge slice of the populace. Maybe going
through a membership clean up would be a wise route so we
can see just how many folks and characters are left?

That's exciting news, and I'm sure it will definitely be to my
liking. Maybe it'll draw out more folks from the woodwork as
well.

And it's not solely your fault. It's a panel of mods for a reason,
but it also boils down to the members as well. Many signed up
for the event but never made cameos or only posted once a week.
Everyone is equally guilty in this because this guild is a team and
we're all expected to work towards the same goal together, which is
a pleasant roleplay community. That's the ups and downs to a major
group roleplay; you have lots of people and characters to communicate
with, but as quickly as it can be made, it can just as quickly fail.
But enough with my campy speech. I refuse to let this place die
because it has a ton of potential.
Hopefully this place will start buzzing with activity soon!

Thank you, maybe after the guild has made it's recovery we can think about doing what we need to do when it comes to events. smile

A member list purged sounds like a good idea.

I would like the game to continue. I think the idea of mini events would be great. Beautiful Justice was just far too big and poorly implemented.

When you have so many people involved in one thing, it can get crowded and slow to a crawl as everyone waits for responses. I think if we had found a way to have smaller groups moving through the floors - perhaps calling people to individual floors rather than everyone starting outside - it might have gone faster. There was also very little to encourage the non-powered individuals to continue into the tower. They were brought to the place by a weird voice, sure, but what would make them want to search it out beyond curiosity? Also, why would the heroes be willing/encourage civilians to go in? If they were sent directly into the tower and unable to leave unless they fight, it might have been more effective. That's just my two cents, though.
