- ◦↷♛TASHI'S APARTMENT // It's not like you'll read this anyway, right? ;P
- Nestled between two identical towers of apartments, a white-washed, cookie-cutter apartment building stands a few stories tall. The windows in the front are clear and unstained, no layer of dust visible on their surface from the street. Some modest windowsill gardens drape over the side, petunias and daffodils splashing the only color onto the bland structure so that the eyes of passersby catch the suddenly flare of yellows, reds, and blues.
The lobby is plain, one wall lined with mailboxes of the many residents living there. The floor is covered with a shabby wine-red rug that resembles some Middle Eastern design. Looking closely, the rug is spattered with dark spots of some unknown substance and each spot will most likely remain there. The wallpaper is no better; faded, it no longer boasts of the intricate purple Baroque-style flowers that once lined the walls. The flowers have aged and are stained from rain, water, and piss so that now they look like abnormal heads of broccoli traversing the lengths of the walls.
The elevator is the only thing which seems to be in working condition. Stepping in, one gets the feeling that the only reason for this is because the original elevator simply stopped working. The only sign of wear and tear is that the button for the fourth floor is jammed. Pressing it roughly is the only way to will the elevator to rise.
On the fourth floor, the very first door on the left is 401. Tashi's room.
Inside, the apartment is appropriately furnished. The kitchen (immediately to the right of the doorway) boasts of a state of the art smoothie maker and blender. Beyond the kitchen, there is a small table and two chairs facing each other where it can be assumed that Tashi eats his meals. Further into the apartment is the living room, complete with a couch and a television opposite it. The television looks fairly new and unused, with a fine layer of dust on its surface. A set of dumbbells sits right in front of the couch where a coffee table would normally belong.
The door to Tashi's bedroom is closed but, inside it, there is a twin-sized bed, a small desk with a laptop on it, and a closet set into the wall. The room is tidy for the most part, sometimes only having a takeout box from the night before or a small pile of clothing beside the bed.
The apartment smells faintly of pancakes.
